Enemy A.I can change their weapons?

I saw this tip on the loading screen. It said the enemies like brutes and elites can change thier weapons to kill you. Does it mean that they can actually pick up any weapon from the ground or just use secondary weapons? Has anyone seen enemies picking up weapons from the ground?

Not sure about picking up weapons but I’ve seen plenty of elites switch to a sword from a different weapon so it might mean that

Yeah i’ve seen enemies pick up rocket launchers for example, it rarely happens though

Ya, I also saw this for the first time last night. I was playing Campaign and killed a skirmisher and an Elite picked up his Shock Rifle and used it.

Does a Grunt count as a weapon? Lol. Brute’s can lob them at you.

i have see it also a lot of time’s that enemy’s pick up also the weapons from the ground up.

its not only grunts you can count for a weapon i got a fusion coil to me trowing from a brute that was more in the mood of trowing random stuff to me.

Ohhhh that’s sick, mate. The enemy AI is awesome in Halo infinite. I love their dialogues, reactions and they’re even doing teabagging on my corpse. And, now, they throw the fusion coils?! I’m loving it even more. Thanks for sharing my mate!

I think that’s honestly awesome. I think that’s a really cool mechanic. Just as an aside, I’ve been accused of just wanting a copy of Halo 3 in the past, and this just proves that’s not so, because it’s a mechanic that doesn’t step on what’s good about the game already, just adds to what’s there

i tell you also this is more the same with the Passing the Gas achievement.
so only the burte most be in the mood to trow a fusion coil or any type coil.

and if you wane see it for you self then you only need to play on low dificulty like normal or easy and look for place’s where there are brute’s and fusion.shock or plasma coils and kill the other enemy’s also and only let the brute stay alive and it can take a some time before the he is in the mood to do it.
and in the mean time you see it also that there switch from weapons at some point.

Yes, marines can do this as well. However it can be inconsistent.

its always good to recor the funnny things you get in the campaign or matchmaking since you never know if something like that become’s something so rare to get in the campaign or matchmaking you never will get it again.

Yeah. On my Legendary and Laso runs I’ve seen elites, brutes and even a jackal pick up a weapon from the floor or a rack on a regular basis. Elites will typically pick up a banished sniper if you are keeping your distance. Brutes seem to switch out weapons pretty regularly even mid fight.
