Enemies in Infinite

We know we will fight the banished but I highly doubt they will be the only enemies we fight in halo infinite. The Prometheans are likely as they are now fighting for Cortana. Whoever the Harbinger is, we will probably fight them at some point. The Flood are also a possibility, especially being on zeta halo. I’m not sure we will fight all of these, but it would be amazing if we did. What do you guys think?

I think the flood are really heavily expected to come back due to Zeta Halo and the shenanigans from Awaken the Nightmare. It’ll start to get a bit busy have Banished, Flood, prometheans, etc as enemies so I expect that prometheans will take more of a supporting role that is encounted less regularly than in Halo 4, 5.

they need to rap up 1 faction at min to introduce a new one. That means either the banished or the created need to be wrapped up or be nearly wrapped up for the flood to return

Would be nice to see how prometheans weapons works on the flood, if they’re both in the gam.

I really hope 343 gave the prometheans a different design!

Not really. Sentinels from Halo 1 and 2 were their own faction.

I really hope we will see every known faction in this “infinite” game. Maybe they will come with DLC campaign, like the flood invade all the Halo !

We never see the promethans fight the floods, it was their original purpose !

I don’t think so, it’s all how u design it. Prometheans should only be in like hidden secret forerunner areas. So you want see them alot maybe until the end of the game when flood comes…

they werent really. They were a 3rd party with no real involvement and by the time they became enemies the covenant essentially were no longer enemies in ce

I think we will most likely see the Flood coming back in the upcoming Halo Infinite. It’s been a very long time since the Flood appeared in a Halo video game. It will be great to see a side mission where Master Chief, UNSC Marines and ODST Troopers are fighting the Flood.

I distinctly remember during one of the inside infinites it mentions you will encounter “cortana’s army” whatever that means exactly. I believe it was in the febuary update? not 100% sure.

I think that having certain areas that have Forerunners would be amazing, and that they have Flood hiding in different caves, or other dark areas. Certain battle zones that would have Promethean, Flood, and Banished combat would also be really cool. And random Banished banshee patrols that you can fight and possibly hijack would be awesome.

Yep we really should wait n see. I’m super excited it’s alot of things they can do in a semi open world. Even if we don’t get them at lunch. For a 10 year game the possibilities are infinite hehehe

barely. and I mean so barely that calling them a faction within the story at that point is laughable

Idk, there is a section with hunters, the Warthog Run had them, etc.

Yeah, CE gets slightly messy with 4 factions fighting for control over the pillar of autumn. The plot in the original trilogy is messy with many factions, H2 and H3 had 5 factions after the elites are betrayed in H2.

Personally, I find it followable, but Elites in 3 are practically UNSC.

It definitely is followable but my first time playing a Halo game was Halo 3s campaign with no prior context at all and it was confusing and chaotic.

now that is understandable, but I think if Infinite provides context well enough, crowding won’t be an issue.
