Last time we had this challenge, a lot of people were confused as to how it works so this week, I’m going to try to preempt all the angst and put the “how-to” here for those that may not know. I realize a lot of you already know how but feel free to leave any suggestions I may have missed.
Endure the Return Complete four sets on any Firefight map in co-op play on Heroic or harder.
The main thing to keep in mind here is that you must begin the fifth set before this challenge will pop up as completed. If you only go until the end of the fourth round, it will NOT be marked as “Challenge complete.” And now, a list! I like internet lists. They make me happy.
Find co-op buddy or 2 or 3.
Go to Firefight custom game lobby, NOT FF Arcade, Doubles, etc. You want to create your own game here.
Pick your map.
Set the number of rounds to at LEAST 5. (I personally set it for no limit and just play until I see the box pop up.)
4a. Game Options -> Firefight Settings -> Wave Limit -> Choice
Modify any other traits you might want during the game. If you’re looking for an easy, do this in 15 minutes kind of thing, set all the waves to grunts, give yourself infinite ability, bottomless clip, whatever weapon you want, make the bonus round 30 seconds, and have at it.
5a. Game Options -> Firefight Settings -> Wave Properties -> Edit waves to whatever your pleasure is. Includes adding skulls, etc.
5b. Game Options -> Spartan Settings -> Set Spartan properties including respawn time, spawn weapons, etc.
5c. Game Options -> General Settings -> Enable/Disable Friendly fire and/or betrayal booting.
Start game and kick some butt.
I know some like to have a challenging FF experience so they may set the waves to be more in line with a FF Limited experience. Others may just want to blast through it with reckless abandon. The point is, there’s no right way to do it and this is a very, very easy 30,000cR. I can guarantee you that there will be people throughout the week looking for this so if you need a buddy, definitely keep an eye on the Recruiting Section for other Spartans to join your cause.
If you’re too lazy to set up your own game and just want some Grunty fun, here’s a game type already set up for you. You can always DL it and change up the wave properties if you want too.
Just remember guys, the big thing for this challenge is you must start the 5th set. Overall, it’s not a hard, challenging, or even particularly difficult weekly. Have some fun!

What and have to go through the pain and agony of ODST Endure again? :S YUCK! LOL

Sounds like a party to me! For the record, Firefight is GREAT practice for Mythic… It forces you to adapt on the fly and conserve your ammo while thinking strategically and dealing with aggressive, persistent enemies.

I’m helping someone get their 200k in ODST too, just timing usually. But it appears a full party is needed as the controls are nuanced so differently, I’m fighting the game and need help in the form of more peoples!!
(I hate sticky-reticle!! I need it ever so subtlety, not ODST or Halo3-like. CE slowed the reticle but I never had to fight it like 3.)
Also anyone up doing this (topic) tonight at say 9-9:30pmEST?
Could use the recruiting section, but after the very helpful OP, what else can the rest of this fill up with other than hook-ups, tips and FF stories?

As Snickerdoodle implied, I’ve been having connection issues so I doubt I’d be able to help tonight…
