Hopefully someone can shed some lighton this issue im having with halo 5. I just got banned for excessive leaving. I know this because i have idled twice (taking care or kids) and have had to close the game about 5 times. Butall 5 of those times were because as the game ended and it said victory/defeat the game would not let me do anything. No carnage report would pop up and it was as if the game was loading but after 20 min of waiting still nothing happened so i had to dashbord and restart the game. Any ideas as to why my game keeps doing this? (Im fully aware and understand as to why the auto ban system would ban my account but trying to prevent it from happening because of the system issue)
Im actually having the same issue… Any ideas?

This is the ban thread. Ban related traffic goes here. Since you are not posting on the account you are playing I would have no way to review your game history.
I am. Lol any ideas for me?

Go to the thread I linked. Post there. You have 4 DNFS in roughly fifty total games. Finish your matches and you won’t get banned.
Edited to correct a typo.
Could be server or internet issues if you get stuck on that blank screen instead of the end-game stats. Might want to reset your router if you are wireless.

3 DNFs in 50 games? I’m not one that likes quitting but that seems a tad excessive
Also OP, that is just Halo 5. Pretty much any glitch you will encounter has been in since launch and 343i seems too lazy to do anything about it

He only has 50 games total and the 4 (three was a typo) DNFS were extremely recent and close together (in the last two days), they are also all in matches he was losing. It isn’t quite the ten percent model I hypothesize, but I do think that quitting matches you are losing and with-in a short period of time makes them count for more.

That clears it up. I was thinking that it was just 3 out of 50 randomly quit games. If they were all fairly recent and close together I can understand that

Based on my experience in counting DNFS, I have a theoretical model for the ban system. It seems to be about 10% of recent or total matches. With very few exceptions when I go back through someone’s history who has recently been banned I usually get about 10% or more DNFS. I rarely go back more than 100 matches however. As I stated early I think quitting a match you are losing pro-rates that match slightly as does quitting frequently (with-in the course of a few games or back-to back) Mind you this is only my guess work based on the patterns I’ve seen.
Simply put you’ve quit 8 percent of your matches and all 4 of those would be pro-rated (Based on my theoretical model of the system) which would put you above the 10% threshold. As long as you finish your matches, don’t afk, don’t grief, or anything like that you are not going to get banned.

I dont mind getting banned of i leave. Im tryingto figure out why after a match os over the game just sits like its loading the matchmaking screen and never does anything. Cant backout to main menu or anything. I have to dashboard to get out ofitand then it counts as a loss… Itgoes to this screen after the words victory/defeat appear and before the carnage report.
