End Game Screen || Game Over Screen

What do you guys think about the Game Over screen?

In previous Halo titles after a game finished the player had a few seconds to do whatever and stay engaged until it showed post game stats in the lobby.
I liked it and it was unique to Halo titles.

In Halo 4 they seemed to have changed it. Now its like any other generic FPS. After game ends everybody stops and the game goes to post game stats.

What do you guys think about this?

End of video if you don’t know what I’m talking about

I like the last seconds where I betray my teammates at the end of the game.

Also allowing the free roam screen will be less restricted and allow players to do whatever until game ends completely

Was saying generic CoD end screen really neccesary? I’d say its flamebait, because you very well know saying Halo 4 is CoD is very annoying here and people are very annoyed about it.

It didn’t really matter to me before and it still doesn’t matter to me now

Yes I want the old end game halo back. 95% of people would kill themeselves or kill their teammates after every “GAME OVER!”

I would include myself in that category.

Agreed. While saying “Game Over” and fade to black is incredibly bland and due to the technology of 2001, it is very memorable and unique to Halo. There’s no reason to restrict our movement and make it like every other shooter end game screen when we’re still going to the post game carnage report regardless.

But its true, the generic CoD screen just stops everything. Same with Battlefield

You could have just left it at generic. Or say Battlefield or Crysis. Saying CoD is quite annoying for a majority of the people here. It wasn’t neccesary.

I prefer how Halo does it, whether it being able to finish your current engagement or going rambo on your team mates. My personal favourite being at the end of a round of any infection game with all the zombies attempting to betray each other (until friendly fire was removed).

I’ll admit,I kidna like the diea that at the last minute I could beat the -Yoink- out of some guy who screwed me over at one point and get the last laugh, granted I’m not botherd at all that I don’t the few seconds of doing whatever XD

I’ll certainly miss committing suicide in the most hilarious ways I can think of in the last few seconds of a match. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll miss finishing off my opponent a second too late.

Quit designating everything that isn’t Halo as CoD! Really man Call of Duty isn’t the FPS that came up with everything!
Immediately stopping all players when the game ends wasn’t first introduced in CoD.

I understand what point you’re trying to make, and personally I’d like it to stay the way it is, (so we can shoot our teammates while the screen fades). But saying that the way Halo 4 has it right now is a “CoD copy” is just silly.

Given that it’s kind of a simulator that the S-4’s are fighting in, why not take it to the EXTREME?

As soon as the game ends, high explosives should be spawned on the heads of every member of the losing team, and they will have the final 3 to 4 seconds to run into the enemy team and hilariously detonate.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I agree with you. Although this is a very small thing to complain about I really don’t understand why would they take away those last few seconds where you’re still able to walk around and stuff.

Honestly, I kinda like it. It was hard to see ‘Red/Blue team wins!’ in previous Halo games. Now its clear, and change IS good!

This is one of those things that have absolutely no down sides to them, and just add that little bit of extra fun to the game. It should always stay a part of Halo, as insignificant as it may sound.
