Enclosure - H3 Octagon Custom Map Remade for H5

Map Name: Enclosure
Gametype: Octagon Slayer
Gametype Description: Octagon slayer is a fairly simple gametype. 2 Rounds of 5 minutes, unlimited score FFA game with BR starts & 1 grenade. Spartan Charge and Ground Pound are disabled. Spartan Health Regen is at 250% (Helps facilitate gameplay instead of people with a ton of empty shields to one-shot)
What makes this different? The only large difference found in this gametype/map is the sniper in the middle of the map. The weapon pad will spawn a sniper every minute throughout the round (there is no unlimited ammo in this gametype, you must rely on retrieving ammo/grenades from other players) giving the players something to try and control. The lack of ground pound and spartan charge leaves evasive abilities, rather than making the gameplay chaotic with players running for charges and such. Sprint and Thruster pack keep gameplay similar to what already exists in H5, but it removes the major melee elements, bar the original melee.

Oh wow, didn’t know that existed! Looks great.

Mine stays a bit more true to the original, though. Not sure how different they would play, considering that’s a different gametype as well.

As an Octagon remake it’s definitely a lot nicer looking than the original. I love the sort of enclosed, simulation feel it has. Not really sure how the visuals could be improved on aside from maybe some colored lighting here and there.
That said, a few things.
-Seems odd to have a power weapon on a traditional octagon map. Control of the Sniper is going to depend solely up who is alive and who is stuck respawning, instead of on map positioning.
-Sprint serves no purpose on this map, as there’s nothing really to sprint to or away from. Movement in general isn’t really utilized on these open octagon maps.

I agree on the sprint. I’ll probably remove it, as it is certainly unnecessary.

As for the sniper, it was sort of something to just “fight over”. Overall, there’s a chance for 5 snipers as of now. If anything is changed, I’ll remove the sniper from the middle and make it BR/Snipe spawns.
