Does anyone have any advice/tips on how to enable chat with everyone in large groups in custom or matchmaking games? We have a growing group of us that play together that now have passed the 8 max for a private party. Trouble is, when we get into a game, we can only hear our teammates.
Are there Halo specific settings for this or do we need to adjust our account settings?

You can hear everyone if it’s free for all but besides that i don’t think you can change it, you can hear the enemy team if you’re close of course.

Yep, Proximity Voice from Halo 2 still around. But make sure no one has that account setting that only lets you hear friends.
Thanks guys. I was holding on to hope that at least this could be modified in custom games.
You can hear pre and post-game chat with all members if you hit the start button, go to your audio settings, and change a setting (I don’t remember the name of it exactly) to “All Players”. As for whether you can hear in-game chat, regardless of teams, I don’t think there’s a way to do it.
