EMMP1 Billion Dollar Opinion Update!

Hello Halo community welcome, Emmp1 here and this is my Billion Dollar weekly to bi-weekly opinion updates, this will instruct you on my own professional opinion on anything Halo, hope you enjoy it!

Update 1 - 22 Nov 2014
I must say, this Halo 5 Guardians Beta is looking pretty sweet, and talking about the beta is the key of this update, first of all I haven’t played it yet, pretty much like everybody else, but from what I’ve been seeing from the lucky few who has played it, it’s awesome, finally a Halo worth getting excited for. Now the reason people were excited about H4 when they saw it was because people believed that what we were shown was a new game type of H4 and not the entire play style of it, now people are a lot more aware of that now and will sure be able to voice their opinion now once the beta is released, now one thing is for sure, 343i will not make the same mistake as they did before, and I’m sure they are a lot more attentive to our needs that Bungie ever was plus they are only compose of dedicated fans and also Bungie Veterans, so I say Halo is in Fantastic hands!

But let’s go back to the Beta, here are my pros, I love it, from graphics to sound to gameplay , it’s fantastic, I’ve never been this excited for a game like that, now the cons, graphically, the game is awesome, but what I have always hated about the Halo games is that they look way too brightly colorful, now don’t get me wrong the Halo games look amazing but it’s like ‘‘the Mario Brothers decided to make an FPS game’’ kind of vibe, it’s too colorful, it needs to get reduce quite a bit and have more realistic colors kind alike COD or Battlefield, also it need to have a lot more realistic battlefields like in the Halo Reach ‘‘Deliver Hope’’ trailer, because really there is not destruction or battlefield vibe to their environments, it’s too clean, it doesn’t feel real enough.

Now moving to the armors, now the only ones who were literally epic and mind blowing were the one created for the Halo wars game, the Mark 4, that looked like a Spartan Suit, the worst ones were the ones created for H4, first of all these armors looked awful and seems like the creators of the armors let them a little too long in the Dryer, it look like all armors shrinked specially for the chest area, now things haven’t change for H5G, congratulation 343i, next the bicep and tricep armor is ridiculously small and inexistent, wow fantastic 343i, then the Space Diaper all around the mid section is gone since H4, we don’t know where it disappear, seriously 343i why, any male Spartan in Real life would ask why and then downgrade to the Mark 6, it’s the same thing as for Windows 8, Me, and 98 First Edition, people downgrade to a better version, and please 343i, forget about the whole going back to the Halo CE suit design because it’s awful, please hire the people who did the Halo Wars suits because they know how to make a Spartan Armor Suit, please! And please know that in the suit there is hip storage for the ammunition and it should get standardize for all Armor Suits too and we would like to see all grenades and other stuff the Spartans are carrying also!

Now for the sound, it is fantastic, before I’ve been complaining about how H4 did not sound very authentic for some things, well for the beta in H5G, everything is super Authentic which is super awesome, I’m loving this audio director and his team, I wonder who it is, but one concern I have is for some of the sounds which do sound very authentic, they lack the Iconic tone that is so recognizable about them for instance, the BR, I had to not only listen to it a lot to recognize that it was a BR, it sounds very real but lack all of that awesome tone it had in H4 and the 3 shots are way to close from one another to be easily recognizable as a BR, what it would need to make it perfect would be to put a low pass filter from the low mid on it and take the H4 BR and put a high pass filter on it from the high mids around 3 Khz and merge both sound together but with a tiny bit more low pop to the each shots and there you have it, also the Sword Need its legendary ‘‘kkccchhhh’’ Iconic tone to put Fear into everyone eyes again because the ‘‘zwwouch’’ isn’t cutting it at all and is just too anonymous & unrecognizable for everyone!

That’s the thing in H5G, every sound has gone authentic and a lot less annoying props to the new audio Director and his team but it all lack Iconic and legendary franchise sound, now here’s a big Brain tease for you, it’s something that once you notice, you cannot unhear, it’s like something once you see, you cannot unsee, like the 2003 - 2010 Dodge Viper Logo, when it’s inverted it’s Daffy Duck, in the Beta from what I’ve seen there is a lot of super annoying high pitch computer sounds, like the warning sounds for your depleted shields and when your shield are getting back up, here is what you could do to make it perfect, for the depleted shield sound, you could use something similar to the sound in Halo 3 and Reach and for the recharging shield, please use something that sound like the Halo CE recharging shield sound because this one was epic and please make it deep & authentic to the franchise, also please, no more high pitch annoying sound like that that can get in anybody’s nerve.

But here’s some props for one sound which sounded ridiculously awesome and genius is the new sound for the countdown bar that indicated the remaining time before the shield recharge just above the shield meter, which is some kind of time warp Bass line that sounds super amazing, big props to the one who came up with this one, also here is how you could make the implementation of this bar even more effective, instead of putting it above the shield meter why not put is all around the shield meter so that whenever we get incoming fire this bar would be poping all around the shield meter and would go down from right to left so we might see it even better!

Also Please remove the triangular warning sign for the depleted thruster pack from the right of the shield meter and put it above the shield meter right in the center and please make it about 50% larger taking the whole portion above the shield meter with red highlights around it when it’s on that would be much better. Also I wanted to point out I love the new place that you put the earned medals, the actions and indicative of the team mates kills, its perfect, but one thing I can’t stand is after a game is finished, you cut out to the animation way too early, now here is how you could make it perfect, at the end of each match, you could give out 15 seconds mini games like swat, infection, or Griffball where everybody would respawn in the main area of the map with their team and we’d have only one life with no shield and let the best player win, of course the games would vary and we would use this mostly to improve the game and for fun.

I must say, this H5G Beta is looking more and more super sweet, I’ve been playing Halo since H1 with my friends back in the days and this game doesn’t cease to amaze me. I remember some of the best Halo moment was at my friend house where we were playing H2 & H3 and we were having 4 Xbox and like 16 - 20 players, going all out, all night til the morning, it was crazy, then I got my own Xbox 360 with H3, never had the first Xbox tough but I played like crazy out of my Xbox 360 and had the best fun ever!

I’ve looked a lot of H5G gameplay and this is what I came up with, awesome job 343i, you listen to the fans a lot, and here is what I like about H5G, I love the mobility, the fact that you can move properly is the best, I love the standard thruster pack for everyone, I love the awesome balance sprint, I specially love the balanced weapons, but here are some of the things that will improve the game. For instance, when a match is finished, please after you’ve showed the final score, please remove it quickly and please give us back the full HUD then let us battle it out for at least 15 seconds before cutting super fast to black screen and that would be perfect. Something that will improve the gameplay by a lot is having separated sensitivity for the X & Y axis and have decimals in the numbers of 1 to 10, and another thing would be to have evade incorporated in the movements, where when a player walk at 100 % speed in any direction, he can evade in any direction by pushing the crotch joystick, and this would be available twice each two seconds just like it was in Reach and then it would be Perfect!

Another thing that I said in the past, is having different style of energy sword, where the player can choose his own design of energy sword just like weapon skins, and he could even customize his energy sword with hand guards like the energy sword of the Arbiter in Halo Wars, skins, edge guard, etc. One thing I always wanted in H5G, is being able to assassinate a Hunter or put a grenade inside of them like what MC did in the Forward unto Dawn Series and be able to use either his shield or his weapon or even both at the same time, that would be super awesome, I want to be able to assassinate new enemies that I was never been able to, like the buggers, the prophets, the flood, yes the flood, all of their forms, and even use some of the wrist shield and other stuff for my own, like the Jackals and Skirmishers wrist shields. One thing that I always wanted to do is being able to hijack any vehicle from the front by jumping on the hood of the vehicle and take over by force the pilot seat and not get splatter if I can react fast enough before I get splattered! I would like to have a perfect radar system, if you guys find that the Reach radar system is not competitive enough then for H5G have it have a pointy arrow pointing up above each dot for a player who is above our position and a Curved arrow pointing down below each dot for a player below our position & please make it very clear and the radar system would be Perfect, if we improve upon the H4 radar system!

I really like the clamber ability in H5G, but let’s push it a step further, I would like to be able to hang from where I grab the edge by holding the clamber button and using the other joystick to look around, I would like to be able shoot on 285 degrees around me except from the back of course, as long as I hold the clamber button I can hang but once I let go of the button I resume the climb. I would so love to have weapons attachments under my weapon that I could get at four little armory station at strategic places like the little armory rack shelf in Firefight in Halo Reach, and each weapon attachment would have the power to shield out a player at most or up to 3 time less damaging power then its actual full weapon version, I would like to see as a weapon attachment, a little railgun, a little crossbow, a little focus riffle and also a little UNSC one, a little 5 shot grenade launcher and little concussion riffle and little bruteshot, a little sticky detonator, a little shotgun, a little mauler, etc. I definitely would like to see much more Melee weapons then just the energy sword and the gravity hammer, I would like to be able to use the honor guards spear and also I would like to finally use the Spartan Machete & please make it Legendary like as freaking long Rambo Knife, and I would like to see a Melee weapon for the Brutes, Prometheans and even the flood too!

I love the little cut scene at the end of each game but please let it be after the 15 seconds of wild n out after the game is won and please have like 25 different cut scenes categorized by how much a margin in the score the winning team won, like there could be 5 different cut scenes for the first 5 points of margin between the teams like if it was a close game, then 5 other for each 5 other points of difference there is in the margin of the final score between the teams and you could do 10 secret cut scenes for the elite players who got skills and get 30 kills or more! One thing I always wanted to do is having customizable vehicles, where each player could customize each vehicle in the game to their likings aesthetically and then when that player enter the vehicle that he customized, the vehicle automatically change to the aesthetics that the player saved before. It would be cool also to be able select one or multiple music that the player can listen to (like in Red vs Blue) when he enters a vehicle, also I want to be able to do smoke shows with vehicles by pressing the brakes and the accelerator at the same time (please make the smoke show really realistic), and also be able to do Drifts (which are controlled skids with the vehicles), so please 343i have some epic vehicle & Drifts controls for some epic Drift shows like the Need For Speed Underground Series, and I would like to be able to do easily front & back wheelies, side wheelies and one wheel wheelies with some Legendary wheelie assist!

In the armor customization in the armory, I would like to save full armor customizations with their armor skins and melee attachments in the back like H3 and be able to name them and recall them on the fly. In my saved files, I would like to be able to do searches by alphabetical order, categories, names, gamer tag, arts, Goldberg machines, my creations, etc. I always wanted to link maps with game types and even be able to bundle them together, and I want the tags in the file share section to come back, I want an actual custom game lobby in matchmaking where we can either host a game or search for games on a particular map or category of game types, etc and I want online parties for BTB game types to go up to 64 players or at least 32 players and I want much bigger maps like in Battlefield 4 with open sky box and multiple levels of at least 3 levels but the best would be 5 levels, and I want active weather in an epic way like in Battlefield 4, with destructive environments better than Battlefield 4 and I want a whole arsenal of aquatic vehicles, like gun boats of multiple sizes and weaponry, seadoos and amphibious vehicles, let it all be greater than Battlefield 4 and Long Live Halo!

Update 3 - 19 Dec 2014

The top 6 things that Halo 5 Guardians Beta needs is:

1- Evade
2- Dual axis sensitivity for axis x and y with decimals
3- Equipments
4- More vehicles specially aquatic and amphibious vehicles
5- Destructive environments or more gametypes
6- Double EXP Weekends, no more stupid daily, weekly and monthly challenges

Notice: I didn’t say anything about weapons balance and all the previous grenades, it’s because weapon balance is already awesome, sure it needs a few tweaks here and there but it’s super close to the finish line and all previous grenade types have to return, it’s a given, specially the spike, incendiary and pulse grenades and bring into the game the lore grenades like EMP & instant Freeze grenade with the smoke grenade!

So now let’s begin, weapon balance is one thing but weapon characteristics are just as much important, let me explain, the BR is a 3 shot burst weapon that kills in 4 shots, that’s a given and it should always be like that forever, now other weapon have lost their soul, their original characteristics like the plasma riffle, originally it was a automatic weapon that actually accelerate their rate of fire from beginning to end and had a slight pushing effect on each hit, now from the last iteration in H3 & Reach, it lost its accelerating rate of fire and his push ability, please 343i, it has to come back in their original form and please also bring back the ‘‘picking up & the melee style’’ of that weapon & all other weapons from all previous games and please let it be random for more awesomeness in their appropriate sequence times as well!

1- So now for the top six things that Halo needs, number 1, Evade, it is an essential reinforcement of movement, it is what will make the whole movement feel solid, it is what will differentiate the beginners from the pros, and the pros will love it as an addition. Here is how it is gonna be perfect, on a Recon button layout, we would use it by clicking the left joystick in by walking or running by 95% speed or more in any direction and it would be use up to 2 times each 2 seconds. This is a fan favorite from Reach and it would make the whole movement a lot more solid!

2- Dual axis sensitivity is something that Halo desperately needs from Halo CE, imagine that you would need a faster movement on the horizontal X axis but a slower movement on the vertical Y axis to have a perfect gameplay, but you are stuck with one sensitivity for both, and what if your perfect sensitivity is between 4 and 5 or 3 and 4 but you can’t really get perfectly to it, now the solution would be to have 1 or 2 decimal for each sensitivity, imagine your perfect play style is a 6.35 on the X axis and a 3.65 on the Y axis, well now you’d be able to do that with dual axis sensitivity with decimals.

3- Equipment is a given, really, it is what make H3 so popular and fun and it boosted the skills & competitive gaming to the edge, it’s what made the weekends party game nights awesome, that what made the whole game fun in the first place, and that’s what made Halo, Halo! Think about it, the most loved equipment of all time was the bubble shield, a very useful equipment that you would use constantly if you were in Real Life in the game, and please don’t bring back the Reach version of it but the H3 version where it is on a timer and not on damage, the second most loved one was the Power Drainer, imagine all the fun you had when you could stop vehicles, make it rain Banshees with it and do a reversal on a player and out skill him with the PD, Aaaahh good times, and third most loved equipment is the Regenerator, I know I push for this equipment to become an ability for the Spartans back in the Reach days but I realised now that it was a mistake, it is always better to have it as an equipment and please make it as strong as it was in H3 and not weak like in H4.

Also, other really good equipment that needs to come back are the Jammers (but please put also fake vehicles in the jamming radar too), Flares ( please make them disrupt the HUD with full of parasites instead of glaring our HUD when it is close to us and make it explode at the end like a regular frag grenade and then it would be perfect), gravity lift (but instead of lifting people up only, make it also man cannoning people far away for people who run directly onto it), portable shields, trip mines (more deadly then ever) and also equipments that are awesome like the gravity puller (which would pull everything in its radius to it like a magnet, it would have twice the radius of the Power Drainer and would explode at the end, the only ways to get out of its pull would be to disable it for a few seconds with an EMP by the Plasma Pistol or to shoot it down).

4- More vehicles is a given, imagine Halo with only two vehicles, it would suck majestically, now each faction need all of their categories of vehicles, so let’s list them:

Vehicle types: Land: Light 1, Light 2, Medium, Large 1, Large 2, Amphibious, Tank, Heavy Tank, Mobile Base Medium, Mobile Base Large,
Air: Light 1, Light 2, Medium, Large 1, Large 2,

Humans: Land: Kestrel, Gungoose, Warthog, Cobra, Wolverine, Gremlin, Scorpion, Grizzly, Elephant, Mammoth,
Air: Hawk, Hornet, Falcon, Pelican, Vulture,
Covenant: Land: Ghost, Locust, Spectre, Wraith, Anti-aircraft Wraith, Scarab,
Air: Banshee, Vampire, Phantom,
Brutes: Land: Chopper, Prowler
Forerunners: N/A
Flood: Flood version of all vehicles

Each faction deserve a vehicle for each category of vehicle type, and we desperately needs aquatic and amphibious vehicles with proper weapons!

5- Destructive environment, it’s a no brainer, it’s the difference between great and awesome, it’s next gen graphics and it sure is needed to the franchise, the objective is to make it better than Battlefield 4, if it is just a tiny bit better than Bf4, it’s okay, let’s move on to other things that are more important to the game like equipments, the fun of the game and the competitiveness of Halo!

6- One thing that will make the difference between don’t care anymore after a few months and keep coming after it for your daily fix of awesome is the core game itself, remember how it felt like playing Halo in the H2 & specially H3 days, you didn’t have a care in the world other than ranking up, have fun in the extravaganza extraordinaire custom gaming with parties that you’ve just met and that will be your friends with forever with the most awesome party chatting experience ever, and also playing through the Double EXP Weekends with your best bodies all night long just to redo all of it the next nights or weekends, This is what I want back, the awesome h2 & specially H3 days, make party chat a priority, with a way better penalizing system for quitters, and please remove all of the daily, weekly and monthly challenges, I don’t want to have a care about those anymore, bring back Double EXP Weekends to stay forever and let’s have all the joyful fun I Had in H3, let it have a ranking system exactly like H2 & H3 without the leveling lock with the 1 EXP point if you win a match and please keep the Vidmaster Challenges where we could win actual prizes for your Spartan like new customization, weapon, armor & vehicle skins, etc. All I need to know is to see Halo a lot more awesome then Halo CEA, H2A, H3, Reach & H4 combine, and Long Live Halo for at least 2 Millenaire!

Update 4 - 17 Jan 2015

Hi 343i, congratulation in the most epic and best Beta yet, SLOW CLAP TO THE WHOLE TEAM!

I have seen enough Halo 5 Guardians to know that you guys have done such a remarkable and amazing job for the beta, if the beta would be the final game, I would be very please with it. I really love what you did with it, it feels very polish and close to a final build. I really love the audio engineering, it’s amazing and so well authentic, but lack just a little more iconic, legendary and manly flavour to a few the iconic franchise weapons, like three of them, Br, Ar and DMR, but beside that everything sound Epic, I really love the new grenade bouncing off ground sound and the whole explosions in general, they feel so satisfying, really 343i, H5G has by faaaaaar the best audio sound design of any modern shooter, Slow & Epic clap to the whole team. The visual are really amazing, it only gets better and better, but my only concern would be to tone down the brightness of the colors in general down to the Halo Wars style just to make it more realistic and not too low to make it look like a COD game either, beside that, it is truly breath taking.

Now let’s talk about new innovation that the Franchise can do now to improve the genre, I want to have new and innovative mechanics that will revolutionize the genre, and that is what Halo needs to do right now, for instance I would like to be able to have a hand held small crossbow handgun that can shoot a small arrow with a cord so I can Tarzan everywhere or even fly upward with it like Batman, I want to be able to have four different things usage for the D-Pad, up for using equipments, right for cycling between the different HUD visual enhancements, cycling in order flashlight, night vision (Reach), Infrared Heat Vision, Enhance ODST Vision without the glare over high sources of light, and a UNSC version of Promethean Vision. Then left is for cycling grenades, Frag, Plasma, Spike, Incendiary, Pulse, Instant Freeze, and Smoke, and a Spartan can carry two of each category of grenades, then down is for gestures, alone it would be for dancing, combine with other buttons, bumpers or triggers it would give good props hand gestures, directions & commands, etc.

I really love the new physics in Halo 5, it’s amazing, it feel a lot like H3 but way better, I hope that the grenades will make the Warthog and other vehicles Flip in the air, and I hope also that the vehicles have an amazing ''Flipping through the Air Assistance like in H3 where vehicles would flip in the air on their axis in an amazing way even though it would not always land on their wheels, you know what I mean 343i, remember back in H3 you would get blown in the air while in the Warthog and flip multiple times and end up quite far away and most possibly land on your wheels, I want that Algorithm back in Halo 5 Guardians, I want the feeling of that back, and from what I’ve seen up until now, it looks very good, I just want the grenades to have even more popping blast off capabilities that in H3 just to make it super fun again, but I want that awesome flipping assist that I just talk about for all vehicles, and for the Banshee, just give it the same maneuverability it had in Halo Reach and it would be Perfect.

For assassination, here is what could could take it to the next level, right after the beginning of the assassination to the point of the actual kill strike, the player could spam the Melee button for up to 4 seconds for more brutal additional strikes before the final blow just for the sheer fun of it of if the player press the A button in that time, he could take the enemy player hostage with a knife to the heart and use him as a human shield for up to 10 seconds and the enemy shielding system would be fully operational and could recharge normally, but in this position the actual player would only be able to use the pistol just like the Flagnum in Reach and move at about 90% speed and running and thruster pack would be disabled. We want much more innovation like this 343i that would change the whole gameplay and define them! I would love to be able to ground pound an heavily damage vehicle and destroy it like a Boss and walk out like nothing happen, even to heavily damage areal vehicles too.

Here is a new mechanic that would be awesome, be able to hold the jumping button for 1 second and be able to after that to jump twice higher and it would be available like the thruster pack, each 4 seconds, also as a new mechanic, adding evade like I said before exactly like or once each second like Gears of War and the implementation would be like Gears of war with the left Joystick. I think that the Spartan Charge and the Slide should be about 15% longer and I think that the overall balance of each weapons was really good except for the AR and SMG that should get about 5 - 10% decrease in range but their power were spot on perfect, for the grenades I think that their range should be decrease by 15 - 20% for players only with the same damage to radius, but get and increase in range of 10 - 15% for vehicles and anything else with great popping & flipping power, also the grenades should have a 2 min despawning time, yes two minutes, why because it is much more fun and competitive to work with grenades with less damage radius but with lots of grenades so that it can be fun in both competitive and casual playlists, and it makes it a whole lot more fun like in the H3 Days!

ADS or Smart Scope IMO is not properly implemented, here’s why, first of all it is not a mechanic that has never been in Halo before and it is kind of clunky, here is how it is going to be perfect, first for all weapons with a scope, make sure that the scope is enlarge up to 80 - 85% closer to the screen and that the crossair is in it’s right size, then for the weapons that don’t have a scope, let us see only the tip of the weapon just like the AR and Pistol Smart Scope but a whole lot closer so that only part of the tip of the weapon is shown, and finally decrease the time of scoping by 40 - 50% because it take way too much time to scope in, and then it would be perfect! One thing that has to go is the Cod wobble & long swinging of long weapons while running, it is NOT HALO, and feels completely Call Of Dutyish, please bring it back to the Reach & H4 Low, Awesome & Stylish long weapon swing THAT FEELS HALO, it’s easy & fast fix 343i, thank you for your authentic Love of Halo 343i Long Live Halo for more than 250 Years!

Also, I would like to say that this is the main Thread in which I put all of my ideas 343i, I see you there in the Future!

Update 5 - 18 Mars 2015

Hi 343i, sorry if I’ve been away for so long but I have some great revelations for you guys so please stay tuned!

I’ve been looking at a lot of H5G Beta gameplay lately and I have found what would be missing for a complete new Halo experience and here’s what I found, in the past what made Halo so popular and what made Halo 3 the most popular Halo game of all time was the amount of sheer fun the was in the game, yeah sure having Spartan Abilities helps, but it needs more than than, allow me to reintroduce the equipments from Halo 3 again and here’s how it’s going to work in H5G, first it need a dedicated button for deployment, I was thinking about up on the D-Pad but with the Recon controller configuration, Left would be use to cycle the grenades from left to right just like H3, we don’t need two button to do that, then right would be for cycling the different HUD vision from flash light, to night vision, to enhance vision (ODST Vision) with auto exposure adjustment, to Infrared heat vision, then to normal and if a player hold the button for one second it reset the vision to normal.

Now all the equipment needs to come back to H5G, it is what define H3 as an awesome and incredible game, that’s what made it the most popular Halo in MCC because it had so much potential, sure H2 was the most competitive, but then again H5G needs to be a very perfect breed of the 3 first Halo, that’s why it needs the equipments back, hire 3 - 4 more employees for that specific purpose to bring the equipment back because it will bring a new refreshment the game!

Now one thing that you did good was the movement in H5G, with all the Spartan Abilities it make the game really fun, what it needs now is great movement that truly innovate in that department, now hire 20+ more employees for creating innovative new movements, I’m talking about wall running & you will need the mocap peoples do that and an army of developers for that, let me show you, with wall running you would use the suit side jets to keep you afloat in the air and you would be able to run on the wall like in Sunset Overdrive but here is the innovative part of it, you would be able to run up or down the wall on a 45 degree, what I mean is while you run straight on it, you would be able to run higher or lower up to 45 degrees with the left joystick while shooting and aiming with the right joystick up to 5 seconds, it’s not about copying it’s about innovating on the same core functions, plus you would be able to throw grenades and use the rest of the Spartans Abilities.

Now for the few tweakings that will improve the Spartans Abilities, I would suggest to slow down the Slide by 20 to 35% and increase its length by around 50 - 65% and make it more like the one in Mirror’s Edge 2, and for the thruster pack I would suggest that the player keep their momentum after they used it in the air and did a quick jump upon landing just like the man canons does on the map Adrift in Halo 4 when we wanna jump from one side to another while playing Swat, because it is cool to use and super fun, Ground Pound and Spartan Charge is awesome, but here is a new move that you could pull off is the 360 degrees jump over with shooting just like what MC did in the Halo Legend the package, and for that you will need the Mocap team again, this is the innovation that will make Halo awesome again.

Now here is a new move that needs to be in H5G, running straight to a wall and run straight up the wall with the suit jet propulsion for up to 4 - 5 steps and then have a back flip and land behind the enemy that was running after you and even be able to shoot them while doing the back flip or how awesome it would be to do a back flip and then in the air charge your ground pound then crush a small team that was behind you, etc, seriously the Mocap people is going to have a lot of jobs. And one more thing that I want in Halo is a training mode in the main menu, imagine you enter the training mode and you select the map that you want then you select whether you want to train against other players or CPUs, and then you select how many and which category of enemy you want to fight, then you select the enemy traits, whether the enemy is only standing up, jumping, attacks, hide, request backups, vehicle use, squad formations etc, and you could even control their accuracy, rate of fire, grenade throws, equipments, abilities, spawn rate, carried weapons, upgrading to more powerful weapons, tactics, hijacks, combos, raging, powerups, head shots only or assassinations only to kill the enemy etc. the possibilities are endless, and that is just training or the player could even have BTB of CPUs customized the way they want and let the spectacle commence! It’s truly epic the amount of sheer fun that can be generated from thing and the training mode would have a specific report at the end showing what are the weakness and strong abilities of a player then give proper exercises to increase their value and even the Community & Pro players could create custom exercises for their fans and save it as a training file and tag it then share it in their file share, this is going to be epic!

One thing that I always wanted to be more epic is having a First Person View for passengers in vehicles like the warthog, and have 270 degrees of viewing when we are in the passenger seat, because it would be more immersive and Hell of a lot more fun, remember 343i fun is what going to keep our game alive, and also here is what’s going to make the game a Hell of a lot more fun put evade in the Spartan abilities, let me explain, evade would be use twice each two seconds by walking at full speed in any direction by pressing the movement joystick, why you ask because there is a time for dashing and a time for evade and the time for evade is between the time the thruster pack is recharging and evade is more natural as a movement and makes you less venerable to shots while using it and it is skill based and make you more free in your movement, personally I would much prefer to have evade as standard than sprint as standard because it is more valuable for competitive gaming!

I would like a better use of AI in the games to hack into systems and see the progressions, view camera views and intels that would be impossible to view without an AI! And please add the dual sensitivity for both the X and Y Axis so we may control them separately for everyone! Now here is that needs tweakings, in the HUD in H5G Beta the little bar above the shield meter that shows how much time is left before shields regenerates is just too small an unnoticeable, here is how you can make it perfect, have it completely surround the shield and health meter so that whenever it appears it’s thick around both meter and very visible. Now the second thing that needs tweaking is the Midship Remake ‘‘Truth’’, it needs the four little man canon towers at each corners of the center platform but on the bottom just to catch the falling people in a diagonal fashion design instead of the cover terminals and the map would be perfect, thank you!

Hi 343i, and wow, just wow at all of the extraordinary stuff that you guys are making for Halo 5 Guardians, it is truly incredible and I got my awesome sources of what you guys are doing, and I would like to say thanks for all of your amazing efforts, I speak for all of Halo community, thank you!

Enemies

First this things first, I really love that you brought back all of the enemies from all of the previous Halos, from covenant to Forerunner & Prometheans it’s awesome but I didn’t expect to fight the rebel insurrection human forces too, really brilliant 343i, I just hope that the rebel humans forces are as ruthless as the the empire evil forces from Star Wars like in Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. Also I wanted to point out that the Elites head in H5G aren’t that perfect, the perfect way to make them would be the same way as in Halo Legend the Dual, that was just perfect, I said it, the Elites jaws need to be close for them to be able to speak, the way they are in H5G makes them physically impossible to speak with an open jaw, look at the original design of the elites in Halo CE, their jaws were closed, then it’s Bungie fault for making them with open jaws, you don’t have to make that same mistake 343i and also Brutes needs to have the same faces as in H3 and not Halo Reach Thank you.

Vehicles

Wow, just wow, the biggest selection of vehicles ever, thank you so much 343i, but one thing that I must say is that if you ever happen to have to decide between two vehicles for Multiplayer, and campaign, I would always advise to use the one that will be most usable for team work and team play and also the one that is the most fun. Also let’s not forget the different categories of vehicles for each faction, for the aerial vehicles, troop & land vehicle Dropship Medium & Large, aerial small & medium, aerial bomber small & medium, now for the Land Vehicle, land small medium & Large, tank medium large & Extra Large, mobile base Large & Extra Large, land air bomber medium, land Canon Medium. Make sure that each faction does have one vehicle for each of those categories, and please don’t forget the Brutes as their own faction. I know that you are bringing a lot more vehicles and I got my sources but please bring at least 3 more brute vehicles please and also make the physics of the vehicles just as awesome as in H3, thank you!

Weapons

You guys brought the Halo Online trailer and it is all that I ever dream that Halo would be, I you ask what do we think about it, it’s just awesome times 100, it is really the very best, now for H5G there needs to be at least 3 - 5 times more weapons & weapons variant, I wonder why you didn’t bring weapons attachments to put at the bottom of the weapon, it would have been super perfect to use them just by pressing up on the D-pad, now you can go and add it for H5G, this is truly a dream come true for Halo and it is going to work so far better then what we might think it would in your expectations. So from what I seen, implementing a credit system is the best way to get upgrades for the weapons just like the armory in Reach, very good 343i, thank you for making halo so awesome and for twice more Melee weapons!

Armor

I really love the way you implemented the Armory in Halo Online, it is an improvement in every way from Reach armory and thank you that you kept the credit system from Reach to buy more armor which doesn’t affect the ranking system, now here is how you will make it better, return to the drawing board and make crotch armor (the Space Diaper) for all the armor variant, yes it is that much important, I know for H4 you were constricted by the available space in the disc with some other technical issues, that’s why you had to remove it, Halo isn’t Halo without the Space Diaper, so please bring this Gold piece of the armor!

Spartan Abilities

I love them all, now here is what you can do to make it perfect, add the wall running from Sunset Overdrive like I said in my previous posts, also to make it perfect you can add a Spartan jump that would work like this, by holding the jump button up to 1 second you could charge the Spartan Jump from the ground and be able to jump 2 - 3 times higher than normal! Thank you 343i for making this possible!

Equipments

Equipments should always stay in Halo, now with the ability to carry more of them is a God send and it is what will truly define the genre & the Franchise, the more the merrier, this truly put the word Epic in Halo and is what makes the difference of why H3 was much more fun then H2 period.

Halo Online

Now I must hand it to you 343i, you truly know how to listen to your fans, keep up the good work even higher, the trailer was truly remarkable, this is what H3 should have been, everything from the armory, to the weapons store, to the awesome equipment capabilities & varieties is truly what will make Halo the First game in everyone world, now if you take all of this give us all of the movement that the Spartan abilities Have and all of what I’ve been telling in for the movements of Spartan Abilities and all of this in a game in the scale of Planet Side 2 or better, You’ll have the Mega hit that Microsoft I’ve been expecting all these years and much more if you can make it last longer than Halo Reach Ranking System!

Forge

For Forge if you can add all of what the whole community have been asking you or at least 85% of it from the different communities, from the mods, to the campaign record runners, to the forgers & art & Goldberg Forgers, to the tutorials, to the tricksters & CMNeirs of this world and so much more different kinds of communities in Forges, you will get a massive it, but specially put a great attention to copy & paste, spawn & despawn sequences with channels, group selections & naming & save/recall, and custom search inventory of forge assets! Thank you so much 343i!

Hey man! I haven’t read all of your writing mostly because WOW! Are you dedicated! This is probably some of the most in-depth feedback feedback I’ve seen on this forum.
Now, I have skimmed over some bits and pieces, and the one I picked up on was the whole ‘wall-running’ ability. While I agree this would so much fun to do, I must say that maps would have to reworked to compensate such a movement, and I don’t think the Halo 5 maps can do that.

Now, I’m no game dev, but if some way that option could be disabled for certain modes and reactivated for a larger gametype… who knows, it might just work.

Hello 343i, how you doing these days, I know, I know, I haven’t been posting much of my opinion lately but, I will definitely try to make one bi-weekly tho! I really love what you guys are doing for H5G and from my sources I feel like it will be a Dream Halo Game, congratulation on that! But I feel like I have to bring to your attention some very specific aspect of the game…

For instance, I would like to bring to your attention ‘‘the vehicles momentum’’ specifically their acceleration and deceleration with gravity in general with their movement uphill and downhill, with also their acceleration momentum after a boost (for vehicles who have boost) on land, water and the air, one thing is clear is that one vehicle did it almost correctly in Halo Reach and it was the Wraith, for instance when you used the boost of the Wraith on flat land and then release it, it kept the boost momentum for approximately 75 - 80% of what it should be getting in reality and let’s not talk about gravity momentum uphill & downhill which is almost or completely non existent and let’s not talk about other vehicles momentum which are very poorly done at best, in retrospective, Battlefield 4 vehicles compared to Halos vehicles have a widely improved vehicle momentum and vehicle gravity feel to them then Halo vehicles and we need to close out the gap completely.

What I would make it perfect would be to have the Pro Team have weeks of vehicles battles in a big team battle fashion just to calibrate the vehicles momentum & gravity feel, and it need to be at 98% of reality minimum, going from jumps, landings, aerial vehicles flips and maneuverability & angles to, bounces, drift features and all types of wheelies, seriously 343i this is epic, now speaking of maneuverability, the Banshee has to have the Halo 2 full maneuverability and angles because it is vital for the fun of the games and the aerial flip speed need to be as fast as it used to be in Halo Reach and not slow like in H4 because that was beyond awful, remember 343i that fast speed creates fun and slow speed creates lethargy in MP.

Now another point I’d like to point out is vehicle boost, I think that every vehicles should have a boost, and they should all be balanced, for instance the big vehicles like in the Warthog class should have a short boosts of 1 - 5 seconds, medium vehicles like chopper, revenant… should have medium boosts of 2 - 10 seconds and small vehicles like the ghost, mongoose, should have long boosts of 20 - 30 seconds and aerial vehicles should have boosts of 15 - 30 seconds. Now each faction should have their own style of boost, for instance the human ground vehicles should have vehicle boosts that fire up like a automobile turbo which means the more the engine rev up the more power the turbo boost gets and it would give a boost of 15 - 20% increase depending on the vehicle momentum uphill & downhill and with gravity, then the human aerial vehicle boost should be like prime jets that fires up and give a constant boost of 25% with a little 2 - 3 seconds crescendo and decrescendo upon each use like a jet. Now for the covenant boost is pretty much a constant boost from start to finish but let’s not forget the momentum which would be 2 - 3 times what is currently there in the games, and for the Brute vehicles, I can only describe them as bursts of momentary boosts of constant energy but with a slow decrease after the burst of 1 - 2 seconds and then we are perfect, and also I do absolutely need to see 3 Brutes aerial vehicles, one Banshee like, one Pelican like and one Falcon like for team work.

One thing is clear, is Halo needs to innovate again, and that means doing a revolution again like it used to in the days of h1, 2 and 3, and for that I would suggest to use some kind of Spartan cockpit that would connect to the Spartan Armor like the Booster Frames cockpit in Halo Legend ‘‘The Package’’ and it would have weapons and a small energy shield and would then help the Spartans connect easier to all vehicles without living the cockpit, and it would be like a mini version of all vehicles that could connect to all vehicles! One thing that have been missing in Halo is proper physical communication, even for the trolls out there, we need a universal hand gesture for ''thank you, yes, no, request for weapons or vehicles or equipments, trolling, etc, even if it has to be verbal, also like I said it before H5G need evade in the game like Reach, and I also want to see in the social playlist ‘‘Maptionsac’’ stay forever which will feature all of the most popular maps creation of the community with their gametypes with new ones each, believe me this will bring a lot of old school players back to the game if we add 4 - 5 new maps each week!

I hope that you guys are bringing Invasion after the launch because it is awesome, I know that because of time restrains you had to cut it, but me as a die hard fan of MP just like many others of the Halo community, would very much love to have it back and I thank you in advance for that. Or you could bring it back as Invasion 2.0 where there would be three teams of players, the humans, the covenant and the forerunners, where each team would want to steal the core of another faction or have the third faction just trying to kill everyone or something like that like if it was invasion slayer for the third team! Also for multi team games, we could have CTF with red and blues but the third team which is green would be the Flood team outbreak but with no to very low shields and low health and the fourth team if there would be one which is the purple team (because orange teams in multi team games is so confusing, it’s like painting a target on our whole body, please 343i no more orange teams in multi teams playlist but make it purple) would be the forerunner team that is here to kill the flood. Also it could be CTF where each team is one of the 4 Faction (UNSC, Covenant, Forerunner, Spartan Floods where they can use weapons, vehicles, equipments, etc) and each team has a flag, imagine how awesome that would be and imagine the Custom games possibilities!

Hello 343i, and OMG you guys are aaaaasome! So let me tell you the Good, the Bad and the Ugly! If I could ask for only just tree things in H5G it would be evade, equipments and the Mk 4 Mjolnir suit because we never got to use it in Reach, please 343i!

The Good!
First of all you guys super rocks at 343i, thank you so freaking much for implementing so much of what I’ve been asking to have in Halo, going from expanding confirm hits (which would be perfect with 3 - 5 different shapes of icons going from a simple line to bigger & fatter arrows to display the distance of each hit were the closer they are the fatter the icons gets and it’d be perfect) to the amazing placement of every objects in the HUD which is perfect even the medals are perfectly placed, nothing is obstructing the view, and the display of who killed who is now at the bottom on the right side of the radar in semi transparent letters with weapon and other icons to show how each player killed another, fantastic 343i, there are some many other things going from highlighted weapons & grenades to this awesome game mode called Warzone with so much of my ideas in it, plus so much more that I just won’t have all the place in this little thread to list, for all of this, thank you 343i, from the bottom of my heart!

The Bad
First of all the difficulty of Warzone is for casual and novice players, from an AI stand point there is not enough amounts of AI infantry and bosses for the overall chaoticness and full scale mayhem that was shown in the trailers of Warzone, in resume, everything is going on in a very orderly fashion like one banana at the time instead of going completely bananas like the trailer showed for the super Halo Madness and sheer ridiculousness, the difficulty in Warzone is novice or barely normal at best and not Heroic or Legendary at best, this isn’t Noob Central, now let me give you the order of the day on what could make this more epic than an Esports Final Match of Warzone of the Season, do this and you are sure you will have the biggest and best playlist of all times!

First things first, all AIs have to go from novice or normal to Heroic or more preferably Legendary, then all AI drops or spawns must be 3 - 4 times more frequent, then each squads must have at least 10 - 15 infantries (grunts, crawlers) then more jackals, Soldiers & Skirmishers (where are the Skirmishers), then finally always have two bosses at each drops or spawns or more, that could call for backups or Dropships drive by if their squads gets destroy too quickly, then Hunters should be able to smash through vents and other destructible environment and go attack the teams home bases and capture them and if an enemy AI capture a home base, that team get 5 points remove from their total for each 5 - 10 sec! Then also each Boss that drops or spawn somewhere cannot only stay in one location (this is what made the game monotone and repetitive which will loose players interest for the playlist over time fast), but instead they need to have the same objective as the players and go capture and hold two small bases for their faction and covenant purposes and more, and also there needs to be more aerial AIs like Baron in his Banshee or even Prometheans aerial AIs that occasionally go down and splatters players or if players are good enough they’ll have an opportunity for a skyjack.

Also at any given time there needs to be two aerial AIs, either a 1 pilot aerial AI vehicle or a drop ship like the Phantom doing drive by with all of their troops shooting from the sky not necessarily doing a drop off and the players would have to kill them where they are, also the Phantom could be assisting Baron or there could be two Phantoms doing drive by or it could assist Bosses of their faction that are on the ground, or could focus on players heavy vehicles on the ground, the possibility are endless! And here is a huge Bomb, where is the Brutes, they could be their own faction and do all of the above, think about it! In the HUD right beside the score on the bottom right, there should be a kill count for each team of players vs players only on the right sides of R & B with a player vs player icon.

Vehicles needs to have more momentum, about 30% more than what is now in Warzone, specially the aerial vehicles, what I mean by momentum is when the player use a vehicle in a direction X, at speed Y then gravity takeover direction due to speed in the opposite direction and that is my deviation momentum Z caused by gravity, you can do all sorts of things with it like drifting, etc, and my momentum doesn’t stop immediately even if the vehicle brakes my momentum still continues, it’s all about the gravity law, please make it extreme specially for aerial vehicles and each vehicle should have 15% more durability against base weapons and 10% more durability against Power weapons, because they are a little too easy to kill.

There should be mobile Huge bases like the Mammoth and the Scarab that cannot fire their main gun but have 2 - 3 turrents for defence and these big bases should be able to spawn vehicles too and there should be a big mobile base for the Prometheans like the War Sphinx and one also for the Brutes and there should be smaller ones like the elephant in Warzone that could spawn smaller vehicles like the ghost and gungoose and there should be an increase of base speed for all vehicles of 10%. Here are tree new Spartan Abilities, super jump where a player can hold and charge the jump button for 1 sec. and then jump up to 1.5 times a normal jump and also a player could still charge the super jump while running, second is wall running for up to 5 - 10 sec. just like in Sunset Overdrive and still be able to shoot weapons, third, being able to launch a magnetic magnet from our wrist that is attach by a metallic cable to any target to the length of about half a Warthog, launching it Scorpion Style (from Mortal Kombat) and then launch them back at us for an assassination if it is a player or be launch at them for boarding a vehicle etc, but the down side is that it would take about 1 - 2 sec. to launch it.

Some sound are a quite annoying like the Rocket Launcher who should sound more like the H3 version which in my opinion was the one who sounded the best, the shotgun sound amazing but lack totally the low popping bottom that defines it and the Warthog isn’t there just yet, it need a lot of refinement an identity, I would refer Tajeen and his team to a 1969 Dodge Charger 440 R/T and 1970 Challenger R/T for a layering process by adding them together but putting an heavy Desser on the final mix of the Warthog because nobody want those aggressive 3 Khz in the ears and then everything would be perfect with a lot of pop to the low end! The DMR should be a 4 shot kill at very close range at about a gungoose lenth then after that it might be a 5 shot kill. The Gungoose needs to be there instead of the Mongoose!

The Ugly
Warzone game should be able to be won a third way by getting 500 player vs player kills for a team, that way it will make the games more competitive and the value of each games would increase for all the players, and also the value of each player kill should be very low compared to an AI Boss. Then the gray progression bar at the bottom center of the HUD should be in the same style of shape as the shield meter in a nice blue. I was wondering, where are the equipments and where is evade, now just as bonnie Ross said, no future Halo games will ship out without a beta, same should be done for all Halo games that comes out, they should not come out without equipments! It is a given, it is what will make the game competitive and fun, I can already see the equipments being used using up on the D-Pad and evade to avoid all bad situations! I can’t believe that there are no couple of BRs, DMRs and Carbines that spawns on a timer anywhere in the map or at least in the bases, this sucks so hard, and grenades despawn too quickly, it should be a bit more than 1 min. despawn time.

Where are the diversity of grenade types, there should be at least 5 types of grenades, frag, plasma, spike, incendiary and pulse, if possible 8 with EMP, smoke and instant freeze, and all exploding grenades should have a much more larger radius blast of about 30% of original radius for launching vehicles in the air! Shotgun should have 6 shots as they’ve always been, the Spartan Laser should be the Red Death it was in H3 which means one hit one kill for all player and small vehicle like the ghost & gungoose and all players should ear it very clearly at a gungoose radius all along the laser pointer, Sniper Riffle should have a 20 ammos max count again, rocket projectiles should be 20% faster, the Splinter turrent should have faster projectiles like the plasma turrent & like the Phaeton turrents and there should have a percentage instead of an ammo count because it is a turrent and not a high powered Boltshot.

There should be more bass in general to the overall sound in the sandbox of Halo Multiplayer! Mantis ejection should be done first before it get down for faster removal and at every end of each match there should be a quick flash of victory announcement then after a second should get retracted as a simple announcement under the shield meter then a 15 seconds countdown should appear right beside it and at the last second the HUD fades to black, and then the outro video and that’s Halo!

Update 9 - 2 July 2015
Hello 343i, how are you doing, I really love what I seen so far for H5G but here is the cherry on the sundae. This is going to make the game perfect!

My top weapons that I need to return please is, the Bruteshot because it is awesome, the needle riffle because I just love to blow up enemies from afar, the mauler because it is a perfect replacement for the shotgun and let’s be clear, it is a Brute weapon and not a weapon from the rest of the Covenant, then the plasma repeater, technically it is suppose to be the covenant version of the shotgun and IMO it should kill very fast with a very short battery life just like it was in the Halo Reach Beta, then the Focus riffle because it was unique and you could snipe with it but it think that it would need a 10% damage increase with about a 15% decrease in its battery life, the sentinel exactly as it is in H2A Multiplayer, the grenade launcher of Reach but properly done where when you shoot, the grenade explode upon impact & not after a ricochet and have 15% increase damage radius, but the grenade can still ricochet if we hold the trigger, then the plasma launcher because it is awesome but the projectiles should travel 25% faster.

Now for the Spartan Abilities, we should be able to do a Spartan Charge from the air if someone is close enough for that, for example lets say I was hovering in the air charging up my ground pound and somebody happen to pass close by in the air, I want to be able to quit my ground pound and at the same time Spartan charge my enemy or a vehicle in the air using the melee button, then resume my ground pound in the air without touching the ground and I wanna be able to wall jump from wall to wall and wall run and flip over the enemies just like what Spartan Olympia Vale did in the E3 Campaign presentation.

My top vehicles that I wanna see for H5G is the Spectre because we only got to played it in one game only and please make it as big as the Warthog, then the Chopper because it is a classic, then the Prowler because it was cool, then the Revenant because it was fun to drive and finally the Gungoose because it the version that the Mongoose should have been and also the motocycle because it is a motocycle! One thing I would love very much is to have multiple medals skins like the classic medals skin, the olympic medal skin, the 30’s vintage medals etc. and we could even choose individual skins for each medal and then it would be perfect!

I want specific DLC to come out like vehicles, weapons, equipments and grenades DLCs, where in that bundle there would be 5 - 7 new vehicles, 10 - 15 armors & armor skins, 10 - 15 new weapons with weapon attachments, skins & accessories, 8 - 10 new equipments and 3 - 5 new grenades for all and that would be a DLC that would not only unite all of the Halo gaming community but it would inspire the whole community to create as well and get better at the game. Here is other types of DLCs, we could have 1 or 2 or maybe 3 Campaign chapters as a new DLC that would be a first for the franchise then we could have new Forge, Theaters and Spectate tools as a DLC and that would really be a World Premiere!

I would like to see more names for my sprees after unfrigginbelievable, and more names for the weapon specific sprees like beyond ‘‘be the bullet, or open season, or sunday driver, or wrecking crew, or slice & dice, etc.’’ I want the names to go up to a 50 kills spree, it’s specially for custom games. I would like to have an option of 0 - 100% for the Spartan Chatter in multiplayer & custom games in general. And for Warzone I would like the game to be at least 20 min. long and I would like the Requisition level to be up to 15 where at level 10 all of the goodies are delivered but the last top 5 Req level are reserved for the Pro & Semi-Pro players who have more kills the others at an average of 35 kills and up and would receive Legendary Req cards like Kelly’s Shotgun, etc. Also it would be great to see the Req Cards in color and 3D in the menu, and Legendary Cards should be given up to 3 times a week, and also there should be the needle riffle in the loadouts menu in Warzone!

In Warzone the Bosses have way too much points attributed to them, it should be 25 pts for small bosses, 50 pts for medium bosses and 75 pts for big bosses and they should always be put in pairs with 15 - 20 infantries, 10 - 15 buggers or watchers and 6 - 10 jackals or soldiers they should always spawn or drop in a capture point like an armory or garage or near it and they should always attack one to capture it and if the Covenant and Prometheans capture all three of them, then both cores get open then covenant and Prometheans spawn or drop at each base and try to destroy both cores at the same time, and if they succeed at destroying one core they win and both team of player looses. The objective here for AIs is to constantly put pressure on the capture points and create chaos, this isn’t a noob friendly game and please make each game last at least 80% of the 20 min. or more at each and every game!

Please 343i, the white line above the shield meter that shows the remaining time before the recharge of the shields needs to be much more visible, please make it 3 times thicker like the Requisition progression bar, also please make the Requisition bar at the bottom middle more appealing & -Yoink!- like the shield meter and also in blue, also Machinimators need to have the tool to be able to use kinect to animate their characters because they are the one who will make the game live much much much longer, I think that turrents should have a smart link to them as well but only on foot and not for the vehicles, also one thing that I haven’t been able to see since Halo CE is seeing the grunts walk like Gorillas on all 4, I also want to see much more man canon in Warzone maps in general with teleporters!

Now Aerial vehicle lacks a lot of aerial momentum and aerial drift, land vehicles like the Warthog lack vertical momentum, I mean when land vehicle like the Warthog lands from an epic jump, it should bounce up and down 5 - 6 times smoothly on its suspension and make it look superbly cool better than Battlefield, after that the vehicles would be perfect. Man Canon should be able to launch people further than that and much further than that for vehicles like the Warthog and the Mantis, also one thing that is quite annoying is the damage shown in the HUD is way too brightly orange and intrusive in the middle of the HUD, it should be reduce by 50% and stay only a light red like the circular ‘‘incoming fire’’ arrow and last about half the time, trust me it is super annoying, it’s what made H4 awful when you were in a 1v1 or 1 vs all scenario, it has to be subtle and balance, who decided to put it bright orange, that one needs a vacation ASAP.

One thing I really dislike about the new Warthog is the Bumper Grill, its super ugly, way too high, and removes its -Yoink!- appeal, here is a great one, and here’s another even more sexy, here’s a third one that would be perfect for the Warthog with some light on them, do you see the good style, it’s beautiful please make the change 343i. Also the radar is not fully comprehensible yet, you could make those below us slightly more pale and those above like a lozenge if you don’t like the triangle, and also miniature vehicles needs to come back in the radar with the outer arrows around the radar that shows close by targets like in H4!

Hello 343i, how you doing these days? I know you’re in one of the last stretch for the completion of H5G, I congratulate you guys on your amazing achievements because it is really super awesome, keep up the amazing work, but before you release the game I would like to bring to your attention what would make it perfect!

Lately the hottest new topic that is out right now about H5G is the leaked H5G Warzone Menu, I feel that the only reason it was leaked was because some of you at the house believe that the final menu was not adequate enough and did not have enough presentation to be release as the final version, I actually encourage such behavior or actions (which is the leaking of information to burst out and generate the necessary change for the improvement of the game and the community, viva la revolution but in a orderly fashion) now I’ve looked at the the video, it is very beautiful and polish but your presentation is lacking greatly and misrepresent the Halo Idea all together, let me explain.

In the past the most beautiful and Halo themed menus were the ones from H2 & H3, where in H2 we had beautiful looping graphical videos showing the world of Halo and in H3 we had smaller loops about the characters in all the menus, what I would suggest would be to have the big graphical videos loops about what is going on in H5G for the main menus like campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, Theater and Warzone, then have the little graphical video loops for the sub menus within the main menus like setting, File browser, Requisition, Customization, etc.

Now another thing I would like to point out about the H5G Warzone Leaked menu is that I freaking love the style of neo lights lettering as menu but the fonts are totally ugly, bulky and out proportionately big for the menu, what would be the best way to implement this would be to go with the H3 style of menus but please keep the neo lights for the menus but here is what would make it perfect, definitely use the Halo fonts (the fonts that we use of all the Halo names titles on each games except Reach) for the main menus with their own big graphical video loops of the H5G world and keep the fonts of the sub menus of the H5G Warzone Leaked Menu, and then it would be perfect.

One thing that is sure to remove the perfect score review after the launch is not delivering on your preview promises like not having evade like you showed in the H5G Campaign Locke trailer or not being able to vertically wall run at least and not just clamber, well for me clamber and evade would be enough, and one very epicly important thing is at least having Dual Split-screen, it don’t matter if you can’t get 4 players split-screen but it would be nice to have that, but at least Dual Split-Screen is a minimum, I believe I speak for all the community when I say that I would rather have my game drop down in frames even if it has to go down to 30 fps for at least a Dual Split-Screen or even up to 4 player split-screen than none, please don’t take that away from the players ever, please make it at launch.

Next is the very big, obvious and extremely painful outdated Engine of Halo, a 15 years old engine, this needs to be resolve now and urgently, even though it will not be completely redesign for H5G, it must be completely renewed for H6, I mean every line of code, every command, every scripts must be overhauled, this new engine must be completely updated, use the less possible resources, perfectly efficient, manage everything intelligently, constantly optimize its memory and be perfectly stable, this new engine must be able quintuple its capabilities, capacities & effectiveness over the previous generation, be much more lighter on the Xbox systems and super easily upgraded, and it must be able to accommodate every needs of all the members of the team at 343i, and most importantly have all the options that everyone would dream of, and I want that engine to be able to replicate reality like through the lens of an 8K Red Cinematic Camera.

Now other than that, the game is too awesome, please make H6 this awesome too by listening to the people of the community! Thank you so much 343i, for listening to me and keeping track with all of my comments and opinions, keep up the awesome work you’ve been doing and forever live Halo!

Update 11 - 2 September 2015

Hello 343i, how you been lately, I see that H5G is more grandiose than I expected, I was expecting nothing less than that from you 343i, keep up the amazing work I’m a great fan of the Series!

None the less I had some little concern to address to you, and here they are, in multiplayer, I always was wondering where is the compass, the miniature vehicles in the radar, and why don’t we have the opportunity to use evade also with the thruster pack? First thing first, if the compass is not going to be under the shield meter, at least put it in the radar because it would be super useful, next is the miniature vehicles in the radar, if the pro players says that it is not skillful or not e-sport related for professional use because it gave out vehicles types on radar, I say it is totally a load of crap, I say it is always better to be aware of your environment then not knowing, because it is a skill of it self all together and it is the difference between life and death in most situation, removing it from the gameplay was a big mistake, I really love that you’ve kept the different shades of dots in the radar to identify the different level at which a player can be, it’s really smooth and awesome, I still think that all vehicles are too easily destructible specially by non power weapons like BR, AR, DMR, Carbine, Lightriffle, etc. and they should be buffed a bit by 15%. Secondly, I want the evade to be exactly what it was in Reach by using & pushing down on the joystick while walking and it become sliding when running, simply because there is a place for evade too.

Now I’ve watched the opening cinematic for H5G and I was mind blown, truly epic & beautiful, truly the graphical team outdid themselves on this one specially with the Mocap team and with the special effects team, truly this will become a classic cinematic to remember for this game, now I would suggest that you guys take a really good look at the ICT Graphics Lab technology of facial & body capture called ‘‘Image metics’’, because it is what will revolutionize the industry and save you guys a lot of time for the next Halo (you’ll tank me later by constantly checking me out and keeping an eye out for my future opinions and suggestions, ty).

Now for the audio team, (I bet you thought I was gonna forget you guys, lol) I am truly amazed on how truly epic you guys can evolve and improve, I am myself a sound technician with many years in the business and I believe that I’ve got a truly good constructive criticism, and I must say the sound was truly immersive and realistic, it was truly mind blowing Tajeen, but here is a little something that will make your work even better, in your overall mix, reduce slightly the frequencies in the high mids that reflects the high pitch glitchy sound of all shrill sound in your overall master EQ and please increase the the bass of the overall mix of the 100 - 120 Hz and lower by 8 - 10 dB because it is very lacking specially for the special effects sounds, explosions and music, I’m not saying that the sound are bad, I’m saying that you’ve ‘‘somehow’’ manage to put a bass reduction on your entire master mix, I would suggest in the future to mix your overall mixes with a Line Array perfectly tune sound system with a Line Array Sub Woofer, I’m telling you this makes all the difference brother! I Love your work, it is truly inspiring, you and your team!

Now one last thing before I forgot, please make it a real thing to have weapons, grenades, vehicles, armors, skins for all of them and new multiplayer characters like grunts, jackals, skirmichers, hunters, buggers, brutes, etc. as future DLCs, this will keep everybody playing forever H5G even if other Halo games has come out and please make H5G part of the MCC, thank you for all that you do 343i, take care of yourselves and keep making halo more awesome each and every day, ty!

Update 12 - 26 September 2015

What’s up 343i! How you doing, I see that you are doing super fine these days with all of that Halo goodness! I am extremely pleased with what I see, and I want to personally thank you 343i for being so damn well attentive to our needs, it’s like making a wish on our birthday, you respond so fast to our wishes, thank you so much! Here is some of my concerns about H5G, it’s just a few things that need fixing!

First of all, the Carbine Smart Scope need to be like the Needler Smart Scope where only the blue outline of the smart scope should be shown without the inside of all the smart scope being blue but being transparent, this isn’t H4 anymore and it should be about 30% bigger, this way it’s way less distracting, same would go for all other Covenant weapons, Secondly the honeycomb pattern of damage received by explosions on the HUD is still way too prominent in the HUD, what I mean is the surface by which it is allowed to be seen on the HUD is still too invasive in the middle of the HUD, try reducing that by 50% and also make it red alone and not BRIGHT ORANGE, yeah it’s that annoying and in your face in the long run, remember it should only be red for the honeycomb pattern and lastly it should only come in and come out rapidly and not last this long, it should be around half a second long and not more, also where is the compass.

And for the indications of who killed who right above the radar, I would suggest to make the first name be always the killer by a little slayer logo right before the name that would be black when the player is not in a killing spree then have that logo go to a different and brighter shade of red each time that player make as spree and that logo could even go up to different shades of gold if the player is in 30 kill spree status, it all depend on you 343i, let your imagination go wild, then have the name of the player be in the color of the team he is in then have the logo that represent the way he killed the opponent be always in red, then the logo of the victim (like a small target) in the shade of red to gold that represent the spree the victim was in, then comes the name of the victim in always bright red, this way it will not be confusing to comprehend who killed who and in what spree he was in also, thank you 343i so much!

One thing I have always wonder is where are the Brutes, where are the rest of the Covenant, the Prophets, the Skirmishers, the buggers, where did they all go! Not only that where are the Brute weapons, we’ve seen sketches of brutes pistols, and other weapons of the brutes that never made it out like the sniper ‘‘reaper’’, I don’t know if it is a brute or forerunner weapon but it was awesome, What happened to the brute vehicles, where did they go, what happened the the prophet vehicles, where all of that juicy content go. Now one thing is for sure if H5G has only the weapons only that have been shown up to now, I will be very disappointed, it’s like the same amount of H4, and where are all of the new weaponry that we were promise, Right now the only new weapons would be the Splinter Turrent, the Plasma Caster, the Hydra and that’s it I believe, this epicly sucks, 343i you have to release a weapon pack of at least 5 - 7 new weapons per faction, which means 14 - 25 new weapons, because it sucks right now with this little new weapons.

What about Campaign Extension Packs, let H5G be the first FPS Halo to receive a Campaign Extension Packs, and I’m not talking about Spartan Ops style extension where you recycle portions of the original campaign, I’m talking about new campaign with new locations, new story, new everything, this has to come 343i, what about vehicle pack where we can have 3 - 5 new vehicles per factions, and what about grenades packs too, with 2 - 5 new grenades per factions, you can extend this universe infinitely 343i, but you are being slowed down because of the engine! Now let’s talk about this 15 yo engine, this engine in our modern time is considered as a relic of the past even tho its been somehow updated and renewed, let’s not beat a dead horse anymore 343i, this has to stop, let’s put a Huge team of programmers to create and reinvent the Halo engine, I would suggest to heavily check the cry engine and the Battlefield 4 engine specially for their real effects on light and light reflection on all surfaces, because it is what will make the difference between reality and old gen CGI, this new engine needs to be everything that you desire for the next game and it need to be ready for the next platform and easily updated. The engine alone is what will make or brake the franchise so I would advise you to put a huge team of programmers on it a year or more in advance for it just like you did for the Beta, the high Stakes demands it!

Now I’ve heard that you guys at 343i are planing to end the Master Chief Story Line, HUMOUNGUS & GINORMOUS MISTAKE, if you intend to kill or actually make it MIA somehow like at the end of H3, now the only really honorable thing you could do, and I know where you wanna go with this 343i, would be to make Chief retire and live with a human Cortana. That would be the very best outcome for Master Chief, and blue team could to the same by retiring or continue as Spartans, you decide 343i.

Update 13 - 3 October 2015
Hello 343i, this is the finest I’ve seen of your work 343i, and it’s impeccable, sure there is still a few hiccups here and there like there is no water splashes when a Warthog goes in the water and no splashes sound either, but this is understandable because you guys are in your polishing mode right now and it looks more and more awesome, but just in case you’ve didn’t notice some of them and a few tweaks here and there, here is what I’ve thought about the latest Warzone games in New York, you guys are awesome and I can’t wait for the release of the game!

First things first, the seat swiping in the Warthog and other vehicles should be slightly faster, and also what I meant in the last post concerning who killed who right above the radar is a bit flawed but what you did is almost perfect, with that said you should also show the spree level of after each names of players and then it would be perfect, and IMO the Legendary Bosses in Warzone should be at the most 125 pts to allow longer and much more joyful games. One thing that should be greatly corrected is the splatter by vehicles, I’ve see some Mongoose kill Spartans just by doing a little reverse or Wraith killing Spartans with just a little bit of speed where it should have taken at most half of shields, this needs proper fixing like it was in Reach. One cool feature would be callouts with gestures like if a player is trying to call a warthog driver that is passing by, he could just put his crossair on the vehicle he’s trying to callout then press up on the D-pad just like Campaign and the driver would ear the players callout and see that player highlighted, or at least the driver could get a sign on his HUD saying a player is requesting a lift, this is easily done for MM and think of it just like the Bro-spawning logo from Reach but instead it’s a lift callout by the highlighted player with if possible a gesture of a waving harm from the player when the driver see him. Also more gestures in general with callouts like exclamations like ''Yeah!, All right!, Yes, No, You mad Bro!, Bruh!, I need Support, etc. would be very welcome using up on the D-pad and one of those buttons, A,B, X, Y, RB, LB, RT, LT or going though a list like Battlefield 4 would be awesome!

One thing that should be in the settings is a Color Saturation and preselected EQs like Classical, Pop, Jazz, Rock, R&B, Rap, Vocals, etc. and also a custom one with 10 - 15 bands of -12 dB to +12dB, that would be freaking perfect, now here is what will accelerate the game at the start of a Warzone game when players start outside of their home base, keeping the players lockout of the base until the players clear out all of the enemies, then also at each beginning, have the enemies be closer to one another & double their amount near the entrance of their base and please for God sake have a lot more grunts, its like there is a shortage of Grunts in Warzone, its not even funny, now what I really love in Warzone is that you’ve boost up all the AI which is now perfect, congratulation. Now here is what will make the game of Warzone perfect, have the covenant spawn near each of the west & east armory & the spire or other main location of other maps up to 4 - 6 time in the game (and you could even give them air support post mid-game) then have them attack those point of interest but please have all AI fight each other but with really weak damage by weapons, melee & grenades so that those exchange can last long enough and have the AI fight the players at normal damage, then you would have a perfect Warzone except for the Legendary & medium Bosses who would spawn at specific location like you’ve been doing, this way it would bring more balance to the game instead of having all the AI Spawns at a dedicate location & guard & do nothing, where they would have minimum to little interactions with the players & enemy AIs, and please have 3X more Grunts with their hilarious lines even if you have to tone down a little their rate of fire.

IMO, Spartan Lasers should be buff up a little like H3 where one hit was one kill specially for the vehicles like the Mongoose & Warthog because it is a one hit one kill weapon like the Energy Sword and then it would be perfect and I love what you did with how you’ve increase the ammo count on this weapon its amazing and please make it impossible to commit a suicide with the laser of this weapon, and one more thing, please make the grenades despawn way longer please, and have despawning option controls and despawning sequence of every forge pieces for Forge so we may create evolving maze maps and let us even select the order of sequence of those sequence on a map or we may choose a randomizer for the sequence, who knows where this could all go. Please bring back the shotguns to 6 shots again as it always been and please increase a little bit the range of any pickups for each players because it’s a bit ridiculous right now! One thing that I’ve notice is that the opening hatch door for the Tank, Wraith and probably other thanks are way too hard to destroy by weapons, it should be 3 or 4 snipe shots to destroy them and it take about twice that amount or more to do so which is way too high and it should take about a full clip of a BR, DMR, Carbine, Lightriffle also to destroy the hatch door and not much more! One thing that would be cool is to move dead bodies by walking just like we did in Gears of War, it’s not a big thing but it’s super fun as hell, one other thing I would like to do is bailing out of moving vehicles and have them continue their course and kill other players as they roll out, it is so much more fun then have the Survivor Armor mods and its a legitimate strategy in Halo please make it happen 343i, also have the sound for the recharge of thruster pack be slightly louder and more iconically recognizable, and also have the players who carries turrents around have a little bit more walking speed, and it would be cool to be using multiple powerups at once with their own logos in the HUD.

Hello 343i, here is my review of Halo 5 Guardians, it will be a multiple parts review! I am in a lost of words to describe what could have been, but if you really take great care of what I’m about to say it will be the very best Halo to date with the proper updates, so without further due, here it is!

1- Graphics
I must say it’s a great upgrade from Halo 4, I see you’ve learned from your mistake of the past, you’ve reduce the glare, enhance the depth of field, dedicated yourself to a 60 fps and augmented the amount of things that can be display in an environment with the scale of it too, bravo 343i, for this I really appraise your masterpiece here, not only that the environment looks real and the scale of it totally believable, I love the fact that the different environments are very varied and authentic which is awesome, and it immerse you into a reality that is more real than fiction. Now for the not so good part, I must say that bump up from H4 to H5 is not very much, it’s more like Halo 4.4 than H5G, why you might ask, it’s because of the super old engine that has been updated to death, it’s time for a brand new engine created from the ground up.

Now there is quite a lot of hiccups in the graphics, like no water FX, vehicles destruction not fully developed like you had to cut corners, the lighting is way off from reality, don’t get me wrong, its much better than H4 & more subtle but I can’t allow that every light source is a fog beam laser, nonetheless I don’t think that you fully understand how light works, light goes from the source to the surface of any environment and then reflects at a slight lower strength depending of the reflective property of the surface to the next surface and so on until that light dies out, but the most important property of light is that when it travel through empty space it is invisible, only the source and the surface it hits is visible, now you can always get lens flare because of lenses, glass windows or any highly reflective surfaces, but in empty space light is invisible unless there is fog everywhere! That is what I mean on working on your lighting reflections, make sure that every surface reflect light properly, for instance look at Driveclub the racing game, they’ve done it very well with that philosophy and the game look real even if the environment graphics are low resolution, real light reflection should always prevail over light flares & light effects and also take a good look at Driveclub Weather FXs, they are pretty mind blowing and the sound is so immersive, that’s how every game should feel like!

2- Characters
Obviously the suicide move was to introduce a bunch of new characters without having introduced them properly and keyword here long enough, and then put the Master Chief and his team in only 3 playable mission, obviously that was a shot to the foot kind of move, but I will not believe that it was a deliberate move, I believe that this move was mainly because of the main character voice actor Steve Downes availability, and also the fact that because he had a busy schedule & was going to retire right after H5 made you put Chief and his team in only 3 missions, I can understand that, but what was unforgivable was that you gave all the rest of the missions to Locke & his team, you could have given 3 or 4 missions to Arbiter & his Sword Elites like in H2, and for 2 to 4 other missions you could have brought a Brute Chieften like Tartarus his Brute Pack brothers into a quest by a New Prophet to acquire a Guardian and travel to Cortana and acquire control over the reclamation that in the end he would get stop but not killed by the Arbiter & his team or Chief & his team, etc. Seriously, character development in this game was greatly lacking not because of their personal development, even thought they might need a little boost, but because of the whole plot that seems a little far fetch and easy to conceive. Now let’s not talk about how Cortana healed her rampancy in details, which was right there a really juicy plot development and lets go on the most reused Boss fight in history with an ending even less satisfying than H2.

Now I’ve heard the other plot of the full story that got leacked on Reddit about how the Diddact survived his atmosphere reentry and how he manage to somehow compose himself and have Cortana in him while trying to destroy Earth with his 6 Composers, now that would have been a fantastic plot if it was developed right and it would bring a long lasting story to the franchise saga, now what I believe happened is that because this story got leacked over the internet a little, you guys decided to change the whole plot because it was early enough for the team to change the plot to something new, and also I believe that it was because that you’ve also receive too many people who wanted Cortana back, so because of that you changed the whole plot of the story to something more ridiculous to swallow. I’d say the plot of the Diddact coming to annihilate Earth with his 6 Composers much more thrilling and of value to the Saga, I’d say that it is not too late to reinsert that plot into the mix skillfully! One other thing is that the Elites head are way off, you had it perfect in Halo Legend the Dual & please reduce their feet by 30 - 40% and they will be perfect, and also for the love of God reduce the grunts heads by 40% and they’ll be perfect too. Also please bring back many of the characters like the buggers, skirmishers, brutes, prophets because I don’t want the game to be Called the Forerunners instead of Halo.

3 - User Interface
Normally, what makes a game like Halo feel like Halo, is mainly his UI, sadly H5G UI isn’t Halo, it’s not even Haloish, it feels like a very strip down version of a game UI like what you would get in a beta game testing release, now let me explain before any raging hatred, first let me say that the MCC UI is what H5G should have been but in a more refine and upgraded version of it where everything works and all the functionalities are present, because what lacks in H5G UI is the original functionalities, first things first, the fonts are awful and quite ugly in H5G, can we go back to the original cartoon fonts that made H3 so popular, then secondly can we have simple main menus & Sub Menus that puts everything together in one page and easy to understand and pleasing to the eyes like H3, third can we have proper & simple video animation going on in loop in the background which could tell a story about each menus, please, fourth have Multiplayer separated from Theater & Spectate mode then have a better way to like and memorize players that we would like to spectate in the future in game please, fifth have a proper file sharing system where you can properly upload content to your file share with tags and ‘’#’’ for real time social media sharing, download, and also have a trending page in the community page in the UI with what is trending in all of Halo communities, from modders to art builders to forgers to content & game creators to pro players to machinamators to lore fanatics & cosplayers, etc. Sixth can I have a Reach MM UI page where all of player logos and Stances are showed & where we can see who is talking in the chats and actually connect with people and have proper interaction with one another, is that really too much to ask 343i?!!

Please fix these issues in the next two weeks and then it will feel at least Haloish! Stay tuned for next parts!

Update 15 - 01 December 2015
Hello 343i, Emmanuel here coming at you with another part of my Halo 5 Guardians Review, but let’s recap last update real quick, fist the graphics are good but they feel more like Halo 4.4 instead of H5G because of the lighting system, secondly the characters and the plot of the story needed a better & longer introduction and a story that made more sense than that, third the UI is striped out of all the goods that made Halo recognizable everywhere, and speaking of the UI, let’s continue on this one real quick!

Now this part is for Jeff Christie specially and his team, man those UI concepts that you release that were after the beta were Perfection, why Oh why was there a change in this super sweeeet UI, yeah I’ll tell you why, it’s because of the cursed 60 fps that literally destroy Halo as we know it and other technical glitches & limitation due to limitation of the new Xbox One Platform, now in all good fairness, 343i in general you can ask all the community whether they would prefer to go 60 fps and no split screen, no enhance graphics & sound or go 30 - 45 fps with split screen and enhance graphic & sound, you will get a mind blowingly high result favoring 30 fps with split screen, enhance graphics & sounds! I see that the main problem that Halo has is not about their capabilities of producing great contents that the whole world would enjoy but a problem of the Head of Halo at 343i who are making the big decisions, now I see that the game could have been awesome if the right decisions were made, but please Jeff Christie & his team, make that UI a reality now, because this was Halo and it has to happen right now! Also I really love how in the UI concepts in the carnage statistic report, the medals are group in classes of medals of kill, style, assists, and there could be power weapons, WTF Guardians were involved, explosions, you name it, this is super awesome, also as a suggestion I would recommend to have the top 3 tools of destruction used by the enemies, top 3 players you killed & top 3 player who killed you, I’m telling you, more stats can only improve a player’s game & skills.

1 - Graphics - Continuation
I see now through the UI concepts that Jeff Christie release that you guys at the graphic team knew what you were doing, the lighting effects were impressive and mind blowing, sorry for underestimating your capabilities and awesomeness, now what I would do if I were you is firing the heads that are responsible for sucking all the juice that the Xbox one had into making & releasing a game that was not ready yet for a 60 fps structure which had a significant impact on all the production of the game, it had an impact on graphics & the lighting system which is a big deal, it had an impact on the UI which got strip of all the capabilities it could have brought, it had an impact on Forge, I’m sure that’s part of the reason for its delay, etc. Really the proper structure of heads need to be in place for the release of the next game because if it doesn’t, you can be damn sure that Halo is going to Actually die by the next game! So the new & improve structure needs to be put now into place for the survival of the game, and I can put my candidature as a broad & open minded all purpose creative assistant director Halo team Leader for all branches of Halo like you guys do with your pro team in house at 343i, there is a great need for an all purpose creative assistant director Halo team at 343i, so that this issue may not happen again in the future, and I’m talking about people from the community with great ideas!

4 - Multiplayer
Multiplayer is well balanced but it is too fast for players to die, what I mean is that the health of player are a bit too low, it should be 110 - 115% of health, and the gravity also is too low, I am making a gametype where IMO H5G should have been and I’ll release it at around the end of this review. Now the whole head shot system when a player is shieldless is off a bit, here is how it would be perfect, if a player is shieldless but has 100% of health one head shot should not kill the player but two, now let me explain, only a player with 85% of health or higher would need two head shot to be killed because the armor would handle the damage but if a player is shieldless and below 85% of health, only one head shot would be necessary for the kill, this would make the game perfectly balance, with the 115% of normal health for H5G! Now let’s talk about the gametypes in H5G, I know that the game got release for only a little bit more than a month, but it is quite ridiculous to have such low amount of gametypes in MM, where are the Juggernaut, the VIP, the Action Sac, the Maption Sac, the Griffball, where is the Gravity Hammer, where is the infection gametypes and all the other gametypes that made Halo So famous, this need to come to H5G really soon or the majority of players will leave H5G for boring content, you need to understand that it is the Communities Creations that kept the whole Community together and coming back to H3. You need to keep in mind that H3 was the perfect Halo and is the Reference Halo to beat in all aspects.

5 - Vehicles
Now for H5G, there is a great variation of traditional & basic vehicles, going from Warthog, to Mongoose & Gungoose, to Ghost, to Tank, to Wraith, to Banshee, to Phaeton, now I don’t think you understood correctly when we ask for more vehicles, of course more variants are always welcome and very much appreciated now, don’t get me wrong, but it is very safe to say that it would have been much more accepted & appreciated by to community to have more base vehicles, specially aerial vehicles like the Falcon, the Hornet, Vulture, Shortsword, Longsword, Broadsword, Sparrowhalk, VTOL, Pelican, and that’s just the UNSC aerial vehicles, what about the Covenant Vehicles, or the Forerunners Vehicles beside the Phaeton, and what about the ground vehicles, the Prowler, the Chopper, the Spectre, the Elephant, the famous UNSC Motocycle that we saw in Red Vs Blue, etc, and other Brutes vehicles and the famous War Sphinx and even Guardians in Multiplayer, I’m telling you 343i, you desperately needs a Huge Vehicles Packs Update to keep all the players in the game for a long time because the Requisition system is not going to cut it at all in the long run because it is going to be way too repetitive.

6 - Requisition System
Speaking of the Req System, here is how it would be better, for base vehicles and weapons, the customization options should have been like Battlefield 4 guns customization, where the player can choose the vehicle or weapon, then he selects their own skins that they have unlock through the Req System and then it would become a Req card of his creation that he could unlock later through the requisition system and that would be a perfect Req System. And of course player could also receive the special vehicles & weapons that have a lore attach to them. One thing that I have notice is that DMR gets unlock through the Req System and Warzone gameplay way too late, this needs to be fixed because it is not a power weapon, and also scout Warthogs should have been Troop Warthogs where 2 teammates could come in the back of the Warthog and have unlimited ammunitions with the passenger player and all players in this Warthog would all have a 10% reduction on damage from incoming fire and it would have been worth while Warthog!

You need to make the change now!

Update 16 - 09 December 2015
Hello my dear friends at 343i, here is another part of my Halo 5 Guardians review, hope you enjoy it! But before all that let’s recap a little our last update on the matter, first we talk about graphics and how the 60 fps was shooting yourselves in the foot for killing the couch gaming nights with friends, and how it affected the rest of the game production and how it was a bad decision from the head of the franchise, then we talk about the UI and how it could get improve with better statistics, style & theme, then we talk about multiplayer and how players health fell just short of perfection and the low gravity, about 70% of normal gravity H5G has, with the lack of gametypes and contents in MM, which I really congratulate you guys on moving really this fast on changing, you guys are amazing, next we talk about the lack of proper diversity of base vehicles which is more important than the diversity of the same vehicles, then we talk about the Req system and how it could have been better in some ways! Let’s not forget the Key words here, any Halo has to be better than H3 because it is the reference Halo, everything has to be better and never worst than H3!

7 - Spartan Abilities!
Spartan Abilities was the best addition that you could bring for H5G but most of them just came shy of being perfect, like Clamber which is awesome, but should be slightly faster to 110% but that just IMO, Thrusters should be twice each 4 sec. for social playlists and once each 3 sec. for ranked ones, let’s not forget that ranked & social playlists are two different worlds and should be treated as such, then also Thrusters should be able to boost us upward on a 30 to 45 degrees upward as well and then it would be perfect, then there is Spartan Charge, the problem with it is that the transition from exiting TPS to FPS and raising your gun up is slightly too slow, it should be around 80 to 90 % of the actual speed, then the enemy player should get pushed upward like he was jumping shortly backward to give both players a chance to survive this encounter, this would give the enemy player height advantage to counter attack while the first player exit his Spartan Charge to raise his gun up to shoot and then it would be perfect, also let’s not forget that the transition between every movement & mechanics in H3 was perfect even though it was slow compared to today standards but everything was flawlessly smooth with no lag what so ever, in H5G there is some lag in about every 2 or 3 Spartan Abilities or so, and please for the next update in H5G have the possibility to deactivate Spartan Charge, please!

By talking about Spartan Abilities lag, here is a big one, in Sprint whenever you press the sprint button and when the Spartan actually starts to sprint, there is a half second delay which is super annoying, and I’m not talking about getting stop by incoming fire before the sprint crossair shows up, I’m talking about an actual lag between pressing the button & sprinting, this should be instantaneous, who ever decided this I presume was in the pro team, right, this is wrong and should be removed! Another thing about sprint is that incoming fire slows people down, I thought we were done with this one in H4, the only thing that should slows a Spartan running is incoming fire from a plasma riffle which should have the H4 effect of slowing down with huge plasma shots like H1, & incoming explosive fire, explosions, and snipers fire, that’s it, nothing else! Now for Sliding ability, it is way too fast, it should be slow down to about 70 - 75% of the actual speed with an increase of 120 - 130% of the actual slide distance, because other wise this feature is almost useless because it too short, imagine you’re running and then suddenly you receive incoming fire from a player behind you, with these new settings you could actually slide & turn around then have a chance of out gun your enemy, now in the actual settings slide is almost useless and confine you to stay in a squatting position at the end which could or could not be advantageous in a gun fight, but ear me out, here is what would make it perfect, have the option to stay in a squatting position at the end of a slide or not as option for sliding with of course the new settings for slide, and then it would be perfect.

Next is Ground Pound which is perfect but should definitely have a huge update for everyone where it should be set on a button on the right side of the controller (for some button configurations) and have the aiming joystick set to the left side of the controller and vice versa for other button scheme, because right now the way it is set for the Recon button configuration (and probably other configuration as well) is Ground Pound is on B Button on the right side of the controller and the aiming joystick is also on the right side as well, which completely mess up the Ground Pound functionality and force people to do a weird Hadouken move with their fingers to properly use Ground Pound, and this is why people don’t Ground Pound as much as in the Beta 343i, this need to be fixed right away without delay or Halo will die! Stabilizers are perfect the way they are right now, and let’s just face the issue with smart scope right now because it is smart when it links up with your HUD in your helmet, which by definition means that the previous zoom in/out feature in previous Halos were actually smart scopes, and for crying out loud here, it used a smart link which in the Halo universe is what it takes to make it work, so canonically this new name to represent zooming in & out was already there in the beginning but moving on, the ‘‘Smart Scope’’ should have been only for weapons with no scopes like the AR and other automatic weapons, well in short it was implemented correctly for most part, because for the weapons who have scopes, it is technically a downgrade from previous games because in this version of the smart scope you get to see all of the weapon in your field of view when you scope in except for the snipers, and that my friend is a downgrade from only seeing what the scope only is suppose to see, I rest my case!

Now for abilities that the Spartans should have had for H5G, let’s start with Evade, it’s simple & effective, it should be twice each 2 sec. like it was in Reach, now don’t tell me you couldn’t put it in because of copyrights by Bungie or that it is not Halo, this is what define skills, knowing how to properly evade to avoid getting killed, and don’t give me the ‘‘that’s why Thrusters are here for’’ either, because there is a time for Thrusters and a time for evade, and that’s why skills are for to determine which is which and at what time to use them, this is a huge part of Halo you removed and please don’t give me the ‘’ Pro team didn’t feel like it was Halo or did not deserve to be on that Halo’’, this needs to be added in the next ‘‘Halo Update’’ or Halo will actually die this time! Super Jump, we saw this feature only in Halo Wars and never be exploited elsewhere, it should be like Spartan Charge where players have to charge it up for a second by holding the jump button, also players could use it while running, this feature would be using the thrusters and the full power of the suit to make players jump up to 2 - 3 time higher than a normal jump and could be use every 4 sec. for both ranked & social playlists.

Then there would be the Jump Pack by the Thrusters which would act exactly like the Brute Jump Packs of H3 and would be one use every 10 sec. and be used in one jumping direction like H3, then there would be the wall running using the thrusters of the suits like in the commercial of the game where we saw Locke running upward a wall or do the traditional wall running, unlimited & glorious, this feature would allow players to shoot while running, this feature would revolutionize Halo in its core, imagine the kind of custom gaming we could be having with this feature, entire wall running maps, entire Wallssassinations, yeah that’s a thing, entire maze running challenge maps, infection wall running games, you name it, the possibilities are endless, have this one in an update 343i, its Halo, then we could have the simple Spartan Ability called the U-Turn by the Thrusters, imagine how much gun fights you could have win if you could have just turn fast enough, now we could with an half second U-Turn just by tapping the Back Button (can’t remember the name for Xbox One button version), and of course when we hold the back button we get the traditional stats page and what happened with the kill cams? You could also have dual wielding for H5G and have double tapping or second tapping of the reload button to reload the left hand weapon, and you could have equipments from H3 with new variants and have them be use by holding the Sprint button or a dedicated button in the D-pad (I’m telling you, you don’t need two buttons on the D-pad to cycle grenades you can do it with one like in H3) and you could have players carry two equipments and then it would be perfect, all of these abilities and new ones also could have benefited Halo if it was all implemented!

5 - Vehicles - Continuation
Now we all know that vehicles in H5G have a really bad balance, where the slightest bump will send your vehicle flying in the air uncontrollably, this is not what I meant by vehicle momentum, what I meant is that upon landing a vehicle will go up and down on its suspension or gravitational propulsion very smoothly like Battlefield 4 vehicles and keep going in their way, we need to be able to control ground vehicles in the air, I never meant for the vehicles to have such low stability, what I meant is that by explosions like from a grenade it would send a vehicle in the air spinning like H3 did which would be a great defence against vehicles because right now there isn’t much we can do against a vehicle except shooting them with power weapon because grenades in H5G which use to be a great defence against them in previous games is quite useless to send them ground vehicles flying in the air, remember 343i h3 is the reference Halo for everything, if it’s not as good or better than H3, it must not get out, another thing in H5G is that vehicles turn more than 45 degrees in TPS view which is quite annoying and disorienting specially when you boost your vehicle and that’s what I was talking about when I was talking about vehicle balance, in H3 the Third person view did not allow the vehicles to turn more than 45 degrees and their stability was really effective, in H5G it is the complete opposite, please fix this for every vehicles specially with an about 130% of the actual gravity to match a real life gravity and please don’t let small jumps & bumps make all vehicles flip over anymore, remember H3 is the reference for everything and please add a 10% buff for all base vehilces, thank you so much 343i!
