Emile's armor is all wrong!

Two things that are seriously wrong with Emile’s armor in Memories of Reach:

1. Chestplate is missing bandoliers.
2. The knife is supposed to be attached to his shoulder, not his chestplate.

How does 343i make mistakes like these? They made similar mistakes with Mark VI and Mark V Alpha; on Mark VI, they made the shoulders fat and round and nothing like what the Chief actually wears in Halo 2/Halo 3 (the torso is also wildly inaccurate) and Mark V Alpha… well, there’s a lot of things wrong with that armor aside from being downright ugly.

Honestly, 343i; it shouldn’t be that difficult to make these armor sets accurate to Halo canon.

The’re not mistakes. It’s their choice to do so.

I agree with the bandoliers but the I posed the same question about the knife and apparently it wouldn’t make sense for Spartans to have it on the shoulder now, Emile was left handed, Spartans now are not so it wouldn’t make sense to have it on the right shoulder.

If it’s not accurate, it’s a mistake either way. If it they really decided to make it that, then it’s a stupid decision.

Because its a remake of the armor. Not an exact copy of it.
If they really wanted to stick it to you they could just remove the knife anyway and say it was Emile’s knife and you get to wear a remake of his armor. Its not his.

This make zero sense. At all.

They chose to do it so. They have given it some thought or simply liked the new design and changed it.

You’re the one making zero sense. I say again; if the armor is not accurate to Halo canon, it is a mistake. Changing things just for the sake of changing them has always been a mistake.

It’s artistic interpretation. Just like how Mark V isn’t a copy/paste from CE, Mark VI isn’t a copy/paste from 2 or 3, Noble isn’t a copy/paste from Reach exc. No armor has been a perfect recreation from game to game. Recon has changed, Reach ruined Scout, and don’t even get me started on Halo 4’s rendition of Mark VI. Armor’s change, get over it.

It’s not a mistake if they change something on purpose though…

You obviously did not read my post, we are not getting his armour, that would be inaccurate, we are getting a variant of his armour. Get over it.

Well then the whole armor is ruined!!!

Ok man, so every design change 343 makes on simple aesthetics is a mistake. You must really hate this game…

I do hate this game. Halo 5 is the worst Halo game to date. Half the new armor the introduced at launch is garbage, no PvE mode outside of Campaign- even Spartan Ops was better than nothing at all- the Campaign is the worst I’ve ever played in a Halo game, and there’s all kinds of multiplayer balance issues. The only reason I still play it is because it’s becoming harder to find matches in the games I actually enjoyed, like Halo: Reach… also I keep hoping that it’ll get better, but 343i disappoints again and again…

And now this. Is it really too much to ask that 343i make Noble Team’s and Master Chief’s armor accurate to the previous games? Emile’s armor looked badass in Halo: Reach… in Memories of Reach, it looks like a cheap Halloween costume that some 12-year old casual threw together.

My only hope for this update is that they didn’t screw up the rest of the armor- or Infection, which has been one of my favorite multiplayer game modes since Halo 3. But my hopes aren’t high…

I don’t see a problem OP. You’re salty over something that’s been shown almost a month ago. Canonically it’s CORRECT. It’s the standard issue variant that all of Noble except Jorge was issued. Every one of the members just have separate permutations like attachments/helmets/shoulders/ect. To try to give them personality. The Wrath armor in Halo 5 is not “Emile’s armor” they never said we were getting it. We were given Reach “inspired” content.

None of the Noble team members particularly stood out. Literally ALL the armor in Reach was just stuff plastered over a base body type… Noble Team all just had mix matches of other armor pieces. Emile is no different. Emile’s armor is just the base armor with nades’ strapped to himself, a skull carved to a otherwise normal EVA helmet. And a security shoulder and… Well… You should get the point. Emile’s armor is only canon if relating to the wearer. The armor itself is nothing special in the first place besides the skull engraved into an otherwise. Normal helmet. Nothing is wrong, nothing is a mistake. It’s artistic creativity.

I’m not the biggest fan of this specific installment. But I don’t hate this game. It just sounds like you’re grasping straws OP. If you dislike it, then just go play Reach. There’s still a population there, it’s not hard for me to find a match. If you want to play a PvE mode so bad than play Reach. That doesn’t require you to Matchmake. And Halo Reach was also the king of sandbox unbalances. And… I mean, why would it matter if the armor looks identical? Did you complain about the MK.V looking stupid in Reach too? And the horrid Recon in Reach? Or the EOD? Or how Scout was completely remodeled. Ect. Ect. Do you even have Emile’s armor unlocked in Reach at all? And if you do, do you even wear it? This is just nit-picking and complaining at its finest.

Want some tissues…

Artistic freedom. Nothing more. Not wrong.

100% wrong. They should stay true to the source material. That’s what fans of Halo: Reach want.

I could forgive the misplacement of the knife… but why did they leave out the bandoliers? The armor looks half-finished. That’s not “artistic interpretation”, that’s just being lazy…

I think it looks great, but I agree that it’s a bit weird that 343 decides to make these small changes, since all people want from these certain armours is an exact replica with better graphics.
