emblems

¿what is the most epic (or cool emblem) in halo 5?

Reclaimer/Marathon. I wear it to salute Bungie’s past and hope that Marathon - Bungie’s most popular shooter before Halo - will return someday in the future.

I go with my usual the wolf

I go with Auntie Dot.

I like Runes the most. As far as I know, it’s one of the few emblems that has been available in every game since Halo 2.

The Covenant Signet looks amazing with my slimmer armor setups.

I rock Navy.

M6D is were its at!

IMC since I find it promising strangely

Unworthy is my favorite

i still maintain that the three greatest things that bungie did outside of halo were open-sourcing the Marathon 2 engine before the Microsoft acquisition, releasing the original trilogy for free, and (presumably) greenlighting Freeverse’s XBLA port of Durandal to get the game out to a wider audience. i need to figure out how to run some AlephOne netplay games.

anyway, emblems. i’ve been a fan of Watershed Division both for the look and the motto, which is hard to see if you’re not looking closely - “mens est mihi gladium meum” / “my mind is my sword.” Watershed Division also canonically developed the Copperhead armor, my favorite armor set.

i’d really like the Cascade Stronghold Technologies emblem for the C, but i’m not gonna bother trying to farm Wraith destructions for that, that’s the opposite of fun.

You really want CURRENT Bungie to make a new Marathon game?

If Destiny ends up burning itself out, I think Marathon can present itself as an opportunity for Bungie to redeem themselves. And as much fun as the Aleph One ports are, it can only entertain me (and whoever else plays Marathon) for so long.

And besides, if Wolfenstein and Doom can be rebooted, I think Marathon can receive a similar treatment.
