the emblems are awesome and they are no different to the styles on the other halos
I should be able to choose my emblem without having to unlock it.
I wish you could still layer and delayer your emblem…
Better options now. Was never really thrilled with previous emblems, mostly stuck with the numbers (would’ve preferred two digits, but it was fine). Now, I enjoy several more of the emblems, and the color palette selections make sense for someone like me that can’t match colors to save his life.
I don’t have a problem with any of the Emblems in Halo 5. Although I get very irritated at how you have to select one color and choose a theme to go with it. It also annoys me that there are no Emblems on your armor. That was one of the coolest things about having an emblem.

I wanted my classic emblem (pictured under my nametag here) aaaaaand I have to hope RNG smiles on me to get it?
It’s one thing to lock armor and skins behind RNG (stupid but still a thing) but to do the same for character emblems? JFC who made that call?

Okay, the fact that I can’t see my emblem on my armor is one thing but not being able to change the background image or color of my emblem sucks. Like VividSnow said, it’s only cosmetic so I’m not up in arms but the changes in my opinion aren’t improvements. YES, I am also bias because as you see my waypoint icon is what i’d like my halo 5 one to be (or be like).
Now regarding emblems being absent on armor… it’s slowly been taken away from us throughout the iterations, I’d just really like it back.
What’s wrong with the emblems in Halo 5? They seem like the same style in past Halos.

The emblems are fine. The method of unlocking them is not.
I don’t even see the point of emblems/service tags if there’s no pregame lobby to see everyone’s stuff. The group of emblems you see before a match just seems so pointless to me.
I’m still trying to figure out why the frak 343 decided to not allow us to make our emblems and instead RNGesus us to unlock preset emblems… I just want my goddamned exploding road cone I’ve had since Halo 3!!! Is emblem creation suddenly a problem… why the heck would they remove that feature?!?
This falls under the customization aspect of the game and the whole system is broken. I don’t care how many helmets and armor you give me with different paint jobs on them, I want to be able to mix and match my shoulders, forearms, torso, legs, helmets and visors. Not pick a theme. Same goes for the emblems. I want the ability to chose the emblem I want with the background I want and the colors I want. Then to rub salt in the wound, you have to HOPE the slot machine req system will give you the option you want. I blame the Halo Championship Series for all this crap. If they didn’t need a way to reward a hand full of players who when that HCS there wouldn’t be a Req system.
The Emblems are VERY BAD! We have clippy, mister chief, and Ms DOS, Instead of the Ninja and so many others that were very good I like the OP would pay ALOT OF REAL MONEY for the Ninja on fire, ad Hyabusa armor.
I also shared it with my brothers.
The Emblems ment something and many long time Halo players built teams around these emblems. Now you SPIT in the face of your longest standing players and community. by making a mockery of so many emblems.
