Emblem editor , yes or no?

While on the topic of “evolving halo” I might as well ask for a real emblem editor similar to COD or Battlefield.

We could still have the classic emblems to place down along with more basic shapes, that way people with an iconic emblem can still keep it without having to create some super detailed emblem. Also let us save emblems and put them on our file share and allow us to choose if it is open for friends, everyone, or personal.

I feel a real emblem editor will allow players to show their own personality much better than the standard emblems we have now. So does anyone else think this should be added into the game?

I would say no.

Because its more complicated and leads to crappy looking emblems.

It also leads to amazing emblems.

Halo emblems have always been a simple icon on your Spartan’s shoulder pad. I don’t think a Hello Kitty with a bazooka would go to well with my Helioskrill armor.

Sooo… nah.

It also leads to genital emblems.

Although, if you have decent moderation, you can prevent that.

Keep it clean.

I don’t know how they would keep on top of everyone but at least online interactions aren’t rated by the esrb.

Honestly I’d be fine if they even just kept the options provided in MCC’s emblem list, and no more updates to it. Though of course I’m always assuming they’d add more in later games.

Just out of what we have now, im sure people could use these pieces to make some incredible emblems.

I would like to, but I think that it’s not a must need, I prefer going to add things we actually need, than more stuff than it’s cool but takes place and it’s not that important.

For example: Elites in Matchmaking.

No, because I really don’t want to see the all the COD Black ops type of emblems again.

Emblem Customisation

  • I would much rather have an emblem creator, much like that of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Of course, if they did go with this type of emblem creation, l would like them to not only give us the emblems we’ve come to expect, and more on top of that, but give us basic shapes, letters, and numbers to manipulate just as was possible in Black Ops 2. In addition to this, I think it would also be a smart move if, for those players who don’t wish to spend a considerable amount of time dragging twisting, and scaling different icons to get an emblem they like, they also gave us the ability to use a simple system as we’ve had so far.Inappropriate Emblems

  • Personally, I don’t get too hot and bothered about seeing someone with an emblem of something I don’t like. Are there times where, when playing Black Ops 2 for example, I’ve seen an emblem that’s annoyed me, made me somewhat angry? Sure. However, I also know that there are many, many people who also just use the creator to make silly, cute, cool, and otherwise detailed emblems. I say let people personalise their emblem in any way they wish, and should enough people find that it offends them, they should be allowed to “Hide” that user’s emblem. I say "No!" to allowing users to flag another’s emblem and force them to remove it. Just allow us to hide any and all emblems as we wish. I feel like the following options would be plenty to satisfy players. These settings would apply only to the player setting them, of course.

  • Hide PLAYERID’s emblem- Hide all player emblems (Apart from your own)- Hide all but your friends’ emblems.

Yes, of course! I don’t want the potential inappropriate actions of stupid people inhibiting the freedom of myself and many others to express our creativity. If you don’t like someone’s emblem, report them or don’t look at it.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind having an emblem editor, I think it would be a pretty good addition to halo, provided not too many people complain about it being too much like CoD (which they probably would).

I would like to express myself in many ways possible, so the extent of aesthetic customization is very alluring to me in a game.
Of course, the fact that the human race is full of horrible people, as evident by forum activity these days means damage control for the corrupt in mind similarly expressing themselves is going to be a huge cost for 343.

It would be awesome if they could replace inappropriate emblems with this
