If emblem customization is gone then I don’t understand why 343 insist on not allowing us customize our emblem colors. The only reason I can think of is so that they shove 100 copy pasted emblems into the battlepass, and its not even said that they will have the combination that you want. If every emblem has 2 color channels and let’s say there are 30 colors to choose from (like in halo 5) then you have 2^30 possible combinations. I highly doubt that they will make 1073741824 variations of a single emblem. They take 1 step forward with bringing back full body armor selection, but then take 10 steps back by locking you into having only the a few color combinations available.
I get that you want to inflate the available options in the battlepass, but at this point just let me pay 10 bucks to get a color editor where I can change my colors to whatever I want.
Ya I can get them monetizing armour colours since this is a free to play game but just let us keep the emblem customization, me and my friends have all been using the same emblem and colour customization since Halo 3 and I don’t want to change it to some emblem that I can’t change the colours on it.
From the leaked / datamined videos I’ve seen it looks like the current system has unlockable emblems as well as unlockable color scheme presets for the emblems.
Now watch as I grind seven weekly challenges to unlock the color yellow, after paying 15 American dollars for a package of citrus colors. XD
I’m ok with the character customization as unlockable stuff. Gonna earn some cool stuff!
I didn’t think they could make the emblems have even less character than they did in Halo 5 but 343 always finds a way to surprise me. I don’t understand why they insist and making emblems so static and bland coupled with the fact you now have to earn these boring emblems, makes it that much more insulting. All I’m gonna say is they better bring back the friggin spider emblem, since they chose to leave it out of Guardians for whatever reason.
