Embargo on team armory or bases

Hi there,

I know some won’t agree with this but I believe there needs to be some sort of embargo period or something when trying to catch your first base. Because I have had so many matches where the entire other team get to your first base before you do. They capture it, they dominate, and the best score you can get out of that situation is 100-1000. It’s complete bull. It isn’t fun whatsoever having one team so lopsided that it is 100% guaranteed the losing team will be throttled, funny enough I’ve never been on one of those “Winning” teams.

I’m not the best player but I don’t consider myself bad, but when it gets to the stage that you spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, die, over and over and over and over and over stuck on level 3 reqs. I don’t see how you can justify that as being fun in any way shape or form. Not to mention the “Winning” team will completely ignore the core. Just had 7 players of the opposing team around the core doing nothing but killing the team I was on. That was all. They just sat their killing, not bothering with the objective right in front of their idiot faces. I don’t even understand that either, wouldn’t the game end a lot quicker if you… Well… Won? Get points quicker, get to a second match quicker, get more points, etc.

I’ve had dozens of matches like this and it’s the reason why I give up playing Halo 5 for a while then coming back to it only to find it’s still happening. Anyway I’m open to any other possible ideas to prevent this happening besides finding a team that can accomplish the same thing.

You really think an “embargo” is going to prevent a team that is going to steamroll the other from actually doing so? It’s not. It just delays the inevitable.

But it isn’t your base yet if we get there before you’re even finished killing the AI inside… it’s the AIs base, and -Yoink- the AI.

It isn’t bull…
Just fight them off.
It’s become common knowledge that people will do that.
And level 3 REQs is fine…
Get a BR and a nice Hailstorm.
And fight!
To the death!

It does suck, but it’s only a speed bump if you have a half-competent team who is playing Warzone to win and not to -Yoink- around on Mongooses.

That’s really what determines if you win or not: whether your teammates are playing the objective, or screwing around at your team’s expense. I’ve carried a few of these teams only to have the game yanked out from under me in the home stretch because people started to care less since I was doing most of the work.

On the other side of that though, I’ve gone into games where my teammates were ruthless cutthroats and I couldn’t get a single kill because my team was demolishing everything before I could get there.

Luck of the draw.

I guess so. Just there was one time I had the same exact same result 5 games in a row. Completely flogged, continuously spawn kills, I don’t know. If you’re on the receiving end you’ll understand.

It’s not like we get stuck killing the AI we rush as fast as the other team, they’re just their first.

It’s usually one or two sappers, just finish them quickly, and go on with your objective.

Every match I play I try to get a few people to come with me to take the other team’s armory.

Using an embargo just seems like a way to punish good tactics and favor uh, lack of tactics.
