I received the email that said I was selected to participate in the halo infinite beta however I have not received a steam key or received any DM in the halowaypoint site.
I didn’t get to participate in the last flight so to be accepted then shunned like a flood infector pod is super disappointing. I been Halo fan since the beginning although my current halo insider profile doesn’t reflect that because this is the first time I am playing on PC. My Xbox account is registered with a hotmail.com email address which I was told by multiple Microsoft sources that your email on your xbox account cannot be changed. So in order for me to get a steam key I registered with my outlook.com email address which is the email I received the invite on and has the auto assigned halo profile name: BrackishBard573
I can provide a screen shot of the email or the email header for analysis if need be. Heck I’ll even let you remote into my computer to verify. please help.
Invites to the Halo Infinite tech preview will be rolling out later this afternoon (23rd September) [PST - this could be anywhere from 1 to 5ish hours from now] when the build becomes available for pre-loading. This will include a DM in your Halo Waypoint Message Inbox with all the links to download/install instructions on the Halo Insider Support Site and access to any Steam Keys [if applicable] on your Halo Waypoint Insider Profile [be sure and check that they are for Infinite and not MCC].
Access to the game will turn on later today allowing you to play Training Mode. Weapon Drills, explore the Battle Pass and access Customization, with the first PVP flight starting Friday, September 24 @ 10am PST

I never got anything beside the initial email that told me I was accepted to play this weekend. I understand there is a lot going on at 343. I am not so much upset I can’t play this weekend … its being told I would be able to then never getting anything except a canned response from a mod.

OK, My halo insider information was current and accurate however I did read that I need to have the communication set to “opted in” which I did not. I did change the communication to opted in will I still be able to receive a steam key?

Well at least we know the initial email notification part of this process work. I received another email accepting me to the beta this weekend. Nothing after that. What a huge bummer.

It’s just a bug, You either need to force quit the game, reinstall or spam reboot it until it work. I have heard this from other console players.
I even had this issue myself on pc and my only solution was to reinstall the game.
