I got a Phaeton Helios in a daily login pack…lol. I’ve opened about 3 golds and 2 silvers almost daily for 6 months and never get Phaeton’s. Those things are as rare as getting a WZ Legendary XP or RP boost.
Yeah according to one of LTN’s videos they only appear in 2/100 gold packs. One time I was lucky enough to get 2 in one pack, but haven’t gotten one since.

It’s better than the ONI Wasp, really… You almost never see it nowadays.

That certainly explains why I never get any…lol. I about fell out of my chair getting one in Daily Login pack…
I’ve always found it curious how often I see them in WZ considering how hard they are to obtain. I myself am down to one card. Have a better chance of getting them from a random vehicle card.
It’s stupid how rare they are. They’re fun to use in firefight, but I almost never get to. I hope they increase the drop rate. Meanwhile I have more than 50 Tartarus’ Gavels collecting dust

I wish they would do the legendary pack certs again. I already have everything but it would be nice stock up on Legendary Weapons/Vehicles. I can’t remember if you could buy them with points though… The Prophet’s Bane was the only one that made life miserable in WZ… lol. Everyone used them up pretty quick though.

I also have everything and stocking up is a struggle for me, too (edit: only for vehicles; I have tons of weapons, because of reasons). If I started using Phaeton Helioses on even a mildly regular basis, I would run out of them very quickly. In an ideal world, 343 would correct its ridiculously low drop rate in an update, such as the upcoming 4K/weapon tuning update. But I would also be happy if they made a req pack of Phaeton Helioses available. If they can do it for Prophet’s Banes, they can do it for this
You only play FF and I only WZ, so all in all we burn weapons and vehicles pretty quick…lol

I have no idea how or why that works, but might be the same for a couple other people as well. I haven’t finished it and I almost never get them, though I’m like 30 kills away from maxing out the comm.
Phaeton’s are in about 3 (2.8) of every 100 packs. Helios is 2.2%.

Well, it feels like a spike in drop rate. Maybe it’s because I don’t need them anymore, but I’m not sure. All that I’m sure of is that I have 17 standard Phaetons and 2 Helios right now.
I like how rare they are. I would hate it if there were 2 or 3 up every game.

I’ve got all my cert’s. As far as commendations I’m on level 4. I have 1 out of 25 completed, and going nowhere quick.

When you say certification, do you mean commendation? I sincerely hope this is not an actual mechanic. It would be a slap in the face to people who only play firefight and therefore don’t get kill commendations. Having to unlock a certification to start getting more of them, which is itself a rare drop, is already bad enough.

It’s important for the Phaeton Helios to be balanced and not overpowered. However, simply giving it an insanely low drop rate is a poor way to balance it, and should not be done for any req. It’s unfair to people such as myself who are certified for them and would like to enjoy using them on a reasonably semi-regular basis in firefight.
Also having 2 or 3 Phaeton Helioses up every game couldn’t be much worse than having 2 or 3 Ultra Banshees up every game, and yet the Helios has a drop rate about a million times lower than the Ultra Banshee and other high-level reqs, for some reason.

The chances off getting an Pheaton out of an daily login pack or an random vehicle card,are higher then getting one out of an Req pack.Its frustrating.

Yup, I heard somewhere that the Helios third-rarest vehicle req in Halo (Rarest is Hannibal Mantis, followed by the ONI Mantis)

That might be entirely subjective. I get plenty of ONI and Hannibal Mantises every now and then. The Helios is certainly rare, but again, not like the ONI Wasp.
