So… I just read the halo section of my gameinformer magazine and this is what it says in the multiplayer section… " competitive multiplayer focuses on the spartan IVs. Elites will not be playable." I haven’t seen any topics about this so I assume most people missed it. It’s in a tiny box in the top right corner of page 51… Sorry guys but they let us down BIG TIME on that one…
Well, that’s a disappointment. That thread with almost 30,000 views and about 1,600 posts won’t be happy with the confirmed absence of Elites.

Idk I just got my gameinformer today and saw that. I wanted to cry.
I never played as an elite but what about machinamas?
People can talk about the various features of halo 4 that they are disappointed with, that they are excited about, and what they want to know more about- but everyone can agree that removing elites just to have canon behind the multiplayer is just stupid.

the elite community is learning little by little if you think that the armor lock haters are bad the are a estimated 1 million plus elite lovers most in halo 3 you think the complaints are bad now i know 100 plus people that are making neogaf accounts just to spam the crap out of frankies accout there is a uprising coming that the halo community has never seen before be ready

i’m sure and I hope 343 sees that some people actually care about elites, but spamming frankie won’t change anything apart from just showing alot of immaturity
Well we have been able to play as Elites since what Halo 2? Don’t you guys think its maybe time to hang up the Elite’s coat a while and enjoy the human stuff like what Reach was leaning towards with the Elite/Spartan Customization?

We hung up the coat with reach. And the new coat was, not good. I want my old coat back.
it did make Reach awkward, and they were being excluded like how elites were excluded from covenant management and government more and more, so I was expecting it. Still… they can put more work into Spartans for us so we have an uber refined experience.
We only have ourselves to blame, with all those “LOL ELITES ARE UNBALANCED AND HAVE HUGE HITBOXES/HEADS AND URRRRNGGHH!!11!” folk within the community (not that it effected those folk personally in any negative way).
It seems unfair that they are getting rid a elites, just when they where starting to get really interesting to play as. I just hope 343 change their minds.
I’m one of the elite lovers out there and I think 343 could change it if they really wanted too. Halo isn’t scheduled to release until holiday which is a while away. I think they could pull it off with all that time and their recourses. We just have to hope that 343 notices how much of the community is going to miss the elites and take action toward it. The most we can do is keep posting stuff like this on the forums and hope 343 notices how much people want the elites. To me their is no excuse for them not bringing them back. I know the community would really respect them if they took action. 343, if you’re reading this, please take note of all our opinions and outcries. We want the elites back.
