Since Spartans get thruster pack, if we play as an Elite could we get active camo instead? It would be open for players choosing to be an elite or a spartan and i feel like it would work with the lore and gameplay of halo.
They should really just bring back Invasion. I don’t get why they aren’t.
I think for a BTB social kind of game, having the choice of being a spartan or elite or even some other race sounds really cool, with having a unique playstyle like the new gameplay in Halo 5 beta.
I’m worried that 343 is so focused on fleshing out Spartans and their abilities that they’re forgetting about Elites.

I never played Invasion. It was something i never played in reach for some reason, i think my friends weren’t into it. Is is just fighting Elites?

I kinda get that feeling as well. i would like to see a bit of focus. Make it interesting. The Elites having camo would be great, i know one friend who uses it all the time and i think it would be great if you could be an elite and use that but also be a spartan and use thruster instead.

I hope they won’t forget the Sangheili. Since so much of the community is recommending we have them back, I don’t see why the’ll throw out the idea.

It was like Rush from Battlefield, you either play as a team of Spartans or a team of Sangheli (you swap sides after a round) and you have to go through 3 objective barriers and then capture a core. It was like Big Team Battle but IMO better.

It was an objective game but felt mostly like a slayer match as well. I think they nailed it well.

Oh! that sounds awesome for a 16V16 type thing! I would still need to see it happen tho.
I feel if the Sangheili are to participate in the multiplayer of Halo 5, they should mimic the Spartan abilities as to increase their chances of being playable across all playlists. I don’t want to deal with the Reach method again. Ever.

I don’t feel like thruster pack would work though for the Elites. That’s the problem tho, lore friendly would be stealth. I understand the reach idea of not having different things but i feel like it wouldn’t be like an elite to have a thruster pack.

Elite Rangers have thrusters. And if those can’t be integrated into other versions of the Sangheili combat harness, they could always use the evade ability. That’s lore friendly.

And this is why Canonizing War Games was a bad idea.
I think it’s perfectly fine for every Spartan ability to have a functionally identical Elite counterpart. -Yoink- me, I guess. No one likes that opinion.

If a certain type of Elites have it, then why not? i’m just not very versed on all the lore has to offer. I don’t think it would have mattered if war games was canonized.

I can agree on that idea, but i feel as though evade, they could make so everyone could use that.
