Elites need to stop throwing tantrums.

so, im playing Halo Reach right now and im playing Campaign. I shotgun an Elites shields off but instead of trying to get away so its shields can recover, it stands there a throws a temper tantrum. I kinda want this to stop. I always thought Elites were proud, cool, and intelligent. This makes them more like brutes from Halo 2 that go berserk and start beating you. I hope ELites in Halo 4 arent like this.

The difference between CE and Reach Elites.

CE Elites: berserk only when they take a lot of health damage otherwise they take cover as soon as possible. Zealots are the only Elites that can berserk with their shields intact. Spec Ops Elites never berserk.

Reach Elites: berserking is a flaw intentionally given to them, due to how OP they are. Just like the Chieftains in H3, how easy it was to assassinate them. Just about every Elite in Reach is a CE Spec Ops Elite combined with a CE Zealot. The easiest way to dispatch them is to use Hologram and assassinate them when they are berserking. Oh and they rarely take cover unless you switch to a sniper rifle (that action swaps their AI).

The only Elite that can be called skilled is the Field Marshal.

And as a bonus,

H2 Ultras and Councilors: when they berserk, they pull out a sword. Except that action actually does damage

H3 Elites: they only berserked if you positioned them well (Elites never intentionally jump but there are things that will cause them to jump, like scenery objects and ramps). They didn’t make any noise when berserking and it didn’t change their AI at all.
