Have you guys noticed how the Elites are behaving, moving during combat in the demo? They are slow, making a little roll when you shoot them.I thought in 4 and 5 their A.I. was bad,but this is even worse.Bring back Elites agility from Halo CE or Reach! What the heck is this?

Idk if you are trolling, but it moved like how the elites reacted in old Halo games, specially Reach with its fast roll

didn’t they cover more ground though in that roll?. The Infinite Elite roll seems like something I could manage on a bad day ie not very effective

They dont. The roll seen in the demo has almost the same distance as an Elite minor roll (yes, it depends on the elite, and its a huge difference between a minor and a captain/ultra) from Reach. Only in Halo CE is where the roll covers more ground because of the exagerated physics

Yes, did you see how that one Elite Minor did a useless forward roll towards the player, which achieved nothing apart from making it easier to melee him (the Elite). Notably, the AI in general did not seem to want to seek cover. Granted, the player was probably on easy difficulty, but still. Elites in CE very frequently seek cover…except when they don’t. Hahaha…
Ps. Kind of unrelated, but that dialogue is top-notch.
“They killed a grunt”. Yes, that was the Elite I was just talking about.

In all fairness, that’s a basic battle callout—something present in Halo 5 as well. There’s some great combat dialogue in the demo as well. I think towards the end, an Elite tells a Brute to calm down and the Brute tells him to shut up (I might be wrong about how exactly that exchange goes, but that’s the gist of it).
As for the original post, I don’t see anything in the demo that’s a drastic departure from previous Elite movement. I feel like people have gotten to a point where they’ve run out of legitimate stuff to complain about and are now pulling things out of thin air to criticize.

Well, you are right about the basic call out thing, I suppose. And this pretty basic line from Grunts in Halo 5 amuses me: “they’re shooting shotguns!”
Too bad I only heard it once or twice. I think it is one of the rare dialogue, though I am not sure why it would be.
I must have missed that exchange between the Brute and the Elite despite watching that demo multiple times, but I did notice one where a Brute yells “watch out, grenade”, or something like that, to which a Grunt randomly replies with “that’s good”…
One more thing about the dialogue for dead allies. In Halo 3, I don’t ever recall Brutes reacting with “they killed a Brute” when a Brute is killed. Here are three lines I remember:
“A brother has died”
“You killed my packmate!”
“Your death will not go unanswered!”
I hear these quite frequently, yet these three are significantly more unique than that Halo Infinite Elite’s reaction. I barely use the IWHBYD skull, too.
Now, I am not trying to say that Infinite’s AI dialogue is going to be bad. Rather, based on the little we have heard so far, I’m thinking it will be more like Halo 5’s AI dialogue: there were some pretty good parts, but overall it doesn’t quite have that same ‘feel’ as the dialogue of, say, Halo 3.
I had no issue with the dialogue, but AI seemed to be quite a downgrade compared to Bungie era titles - again. H4 was a huge step backwards in this regard and Halo needs good AI to make battles interesting, I firmly believe it! It’s one of the - sadly many - reasons why I was so disappointed in the reveal demo even though I had really low expectations from the get go.
