A while back 343 announced you can’t play as elites at all in halo 4 but said there will be something to scratch that itch…
If its flood that’s not a very good scratcher… And there hasn’t been anything else so far so was it all just a lie/ bad excuse for a replacement?
EDIT: so the scratch was for invasion (still coulda swore they sai they had something for invasion AND elites but Ohwell.

Because we are realizing some promises are not what we imagined them to be. Ohwell game will be good with or without elites in MP

I don’t know of any post. I usually rely on word of mouth by the community and the bulletins

It wasn’t about elites. It was about the invasion itch being scratched. And that is what dominion is supposed to do.
The Invasion itch is supposed to be scratched by Dominion.
The Elite itch is supposed to be scratched by the new Flood mode.

elites were horrible in MP, kind of like strongsiding except constant.
now if you wanna talk about unfurfilled promises then MLG would like to have a word with you.
Sucks for machinima makers like me. We used the Elite models as the enemy. And we cant really use the Flood because they cannot have weapons.

But Flood aren’t anything like Elites. It’s downright stupid to compare the two as if they were in anyway equivalent.

Replaces choice for character model for a game type with diffrent character models that isn’t even a main competitive game mode…

As was mentioned above, there was no mentioning of “scratching the Elite itch.” It was for the gametype Invasion, and for that replacement we have Dominion.
