Alright. So, we all know that Sangheili (Elites) were not featured in Halo 4. This disappoined most of the community, and while there may have been some who didn’t care, I’m sure no one was happy that the Elites had been removed. I understand that the developers are trying to make the multiplayer war games canon, but that doesn’t make it impossible for Elites to be in the war games. There doesn’t even have to be a lame excuse for the Arbiter’s guys jumping into the Infinity. Here are some ways/reasons the Elites may return in Halo 5:
In fact, in the comic book Halo: Escalation, several Storm Sangheili are seen in a war games training session involving Commaner Palmer - and not only that, but the announcer says that the gametype is Invasion! This means that Invasion is a gametype already on the Infinity, and that Elites can appear. Of course they can! The entire simulation uses holograms, so why couldn’t there be holographic Elites? They already have holographic Flood in game. There is really no legitimate excuse not to have the Sangheili make their return.
With the canon issue out of the way, there is no reason 343 Industries wouldn’t add them into the game. They would lose money if they fail to implement Elites; the Sangheili community has been dying out since Reach, and reviving it would be in no way harmful to anyone. Even if only in custom games, that would certainly be better than nothing at all.
Additionally, the Arbiter seems like he will be playing a large role in the Halo 5. Every game so far featuring the Arbiter has had playable Elites in it. What do you guys think? Could the Elites return? I know it’s not looking good so far from the beta, but I’m hopeful that Elites will return. DON"T FAIL US 343!
(P.S, the beta didn’t have any Covenant/Forerunner weapons(Excepting Energy Sword) or any vehicles at all. It was focusing on competitive muliplayer on small maps, where everyone would have to be an Spartan for equal gameplay. This means other things will be added later in development… I hope.)
