Firstly I’d like for you to read and imagine me saying this in the most upbeat tone possible, here goes… Well, lately I’ve started to play Halo 3 again due to the absence of elites in Reach. I was wondering if I could ask you nicely to tell Frank to put them in multiplayer. I don’t need them in the campaign. I just want you guys at 343 to realize how many lives you’d be stepping on if you failed to put them in. i.e. Elite Clans, multiple machinima series, RvB’s character: Junior, and me to start with. Personally I don’t think you’d want to do that… to me I mean, cuz things tend to become really Italian Mafia style when i’m upset. Thanks for reading, I just want my fair share of Blarg’s.

I just don’t agree that any theoretic Elites belong only in a theoretical Social Playlist. If they are made right, I don’t see why they can’t be in any playlist. If Elites are in multiplayer, that’s okay. In the Campaign is another issue, but that’s neither here nor there.

Elites either need to be exactly structured like a spartan or at a disadvantage (IE bigger head). You should never gain an advantage playing an Elite, which unfortunately you do in Halo 3.
A lot of people are opposed to this because being an Elite could be abused to give you an advantage in certain playlists. coughTeamSWATcough but if 343 could make it so Elites were more balanced than they were in Halo 3 and Reach then I would be happy to see them return to Matchmaking.

I just think the people who play as them are either having a joke, trying to annoy other players or playing as them to have an advantage, I only ever saw people taking the elite character serious if they were a guest or new to the game, this gave me a different view on elites to be very disrespectful to the game.
I can’t see the elite character changing much from halo 3/reach to make me change my mind on them being introduced to the multiplayer.

Hence why I said IF DONE RIGHT. I mean, you can’t let your own personal bias influence an idea as this. If it works, it works. If not, then don’t include them. That said, I doubt Elites will be in Halo 4 to begin with. Just throwing that out there.

Fair enough but you asked me why, and i gave you my opinion, if they are different or not I’m against them being bought back

no. have you ever heard of any of the elite clans
we like them cause it adds a different feel to the game, we like unlocking new body armor and slaying reds or blues just like the next guy.
we are to be taken seriously and i found that comment hurtful and just plain racist
as a good man once said: I have a dream that one day this community will rise up and treat the elites exactly the same as we do spartans

Sorry didn’t mean to offend you, but I played at high level, and it was just frustrating to see players change there characters to elites before the game started just to get an advantage as well as to annoy the hell out of you, but I’m fine with them when i’m playing chilled
now that i think about it though… maybe they should be in social playlist only… since i do remember having the same problem before, although if this were to happen i would want a swat/snipers playlist in social too. so like two versions for each playlist type
