343i, the best thing about reach was playing as elites, if you are adding a gigantic forge/custom game update sometime in December, you can add playable elites for custom games too. There is no reason on why you shouldn’t allow us to play as them in non-recorded/ranked games either, and not having really limits machinima creativity, hence why I still makes all my machinimas in reach. Just add em’ please…
Not only Elites in custom Matches… hopefully the Forge World type thing will also let us build Warzone Matches… That could be pretty sweet

Yeah, I really hope we get the ability to do this, kinda like how we were able to make invasion games. If forge is everything it is being advertised as, this game will beat reach for me. (IF THEY ADD ELITES…)
Also, do you/anyone else know if they are adding all the gametypes that matter IE: infection, BTB, invasion, etc…
Unlikely to happen, because of 343i being spartan only mentality, Warzone too but that’s a what if right now.
Why just Elites? Marines, Grunts, Jackals, Soldiers… Hunters, Knights. They’d make for some awesome custom games…
Honestly, I’m not a fan of Elites in multiplayer. Never have been.

Because 343i didn’t even bother putting Elites my dream Halo 3 was literally 3 campaigns in a sense Chief, Arbiter, Flood then have the multiplayer using player models based on them and so on. For Halo 5 I did want ai and like I wanted but also another three separate campaigns Chief, Locke, Forerunner ai with another three different player models spartan, elites, prometheans. Oh well right?

They already said that we won’t be able to do that.
I loved playing as Elites. They had the best assassinations in Reach.
I read somewhere that PvE Warzone is still on the table and might happen if that’s what the community wants. Well, I sure as hell want it, don’t know about you.
I want them added in the future, but I don’t see that happening.

-Yoink- it, we should be able to play as anything, elites, grunts, marines, knights, forerunner soldiers, those little dog things! Maybe not everything, but every “fair” character like elites, spartans, grunts, knights, jackals, etc… i’d love to see that in custom games. Get your head out of your -Yoink- 343i, not everyone has a spartan -Yoink!-.
Even if this isn’t added, I’m still hyped for forge.
Playing as Elites really wasn’t fun, their movements seemed really awkward. I just didn’t enjoy it
My guess is besides the lore of the multiplayer they try and implement, war games etc. Elites would require different hitboxes and abilities than the Spartan abilities. Although now that elites are allies it would make sense for elites to run simulations with Spartans it definitely would be interesting

Bungie had it work beautifully in reach, there were even modded gametypes where you could become large or small, or even different characters like a monitor or a grunt and the hitbox changed accordingly.
If Bungie had this working by Halo 2, I’m sure 343i can do it too.
Edit: They have already done it in Halo MCC too.
