Why aren’t there Elites in MM for Halo 4?
Because how can there be Elites fighting and training on a UNSC training ship? Do you understand Halo Infinity?

The problem is that 343 are letting cannon get in their way in matchmaking, which I don’t mind much since I love Halo fiction but people that really like playing as Elites regardless of canon could and should get pissed off at this. This is multiplayer, canon is not NEEDED. Anyway, why not have certain modes (Invasion maybe) where Spartans get to simulate Elites in order to prepare to fight them head on. I think they could have made it work.

Yeah, I love invasion because of the elite vs spartan, also, machinima artists will be kind of up set. I know TSL will lose DJ Octobit, and Aero from the Halo 4 cast.

There are plenty of ways to work elites into the canon that they’re setting up for ops and competitive MP. They don’t want to.
Which is a shame, but I think we can all agree that a lack of elites is not the biggest concern for Halo 4 right now.

As of right now we’ve got detailed, mutated looking Sangheili in Campaign.
They have been completely removed from “Competitive” MM.

Reasons it’s possible for Sangheili to be on the UNSC Infinity:
-5 years have past since the events of Halo 3.
-The Sangheili and Humans have an alliance, though it isn’t entirely stable.
-The S-IV’s training arena is a simulation.
