I am a true halo fan and i enjoy playing halo 5 very much but… I think there is something importand missing.
i don’t know much about the lore but i do know that in simulation trainings spartans and elites trained together.
knowing that the new warzone gamemode a very big simulation is to train spartans, and with the fall of the covenant in sight is it would make sense if the swords of shanghelios is growing in a big rate, and with the peace between humans and the swords of shanghelios.
it would make sense if the spartans and elites start training together to stand a bigger threat to the prometheans.
with the covenant almost out of the picture a bond between humans and elites can grow stronger.
Wich would be very possible indeed that spartans and elites would be training together again, and with me and a part of the comunity begging 343 studios for playble elites i think that they can do it while halo 5 guardians is still getting new updates and new players.
it would make a lot of people happy, and besides think of the new abilitys they can give the elites! Suggestions for DLC, creative ideas from the comunity! It would make the game better in my opinion.

I find it amusing that halo fans have definitions such as what is a true halo fan but anyway lore wise they already do that its called anvil installation as for the updates thats for a different forum subcategory not the universe section

This is something that would be motivated by what 343 is prepared to implement within their games. Bungie received a great deal of negative feedback about the inclusion of Elites in multiplayer in Halo 2 and Halo 3 matchmaking. Halo: Reach’s use of elites – where they were confined to a toggle in the gametype or as one team in the Invasion gametype – was likely a reaction to the criticisms, while still including the beloved sangheili. Ultimately, implementing Elites in multiplayer is a great deal of effort for a potentially-gameplay-altering cosmetic choice.
343 Industries has shown that they’re not especially interested, at least so far, in including Elites as Bungie did. I doubt they will change their minds for the sixth game. We may, though, see lore written about elites joining in simulations. Actually, I feel like I’ve read about that somewhere. Maybe some armor/helmet descriptions in Halo 4/5?
IIRC, it’s from Spartan Strike which states that SoS Elites are taking part of the War Games on the Infinity.
Only if elites were in a separated game mode like in Halo Reach because I don’t want hunched elites back. I find it hard to understand why people want playable elites back so much.

I agree. It’s gimmicky and only introduces balance issues. The only way I could see 343 bringing them back is if they had a new game mode where there are multiple factions, as in you can play as a spartan, elite, or promethean. Kind of like desdtiny. It would be interesting, but would require so many resources im inclined to hope they do not, and focus on regular pvp.
Elites should be added. A bunch of people want it and it wont effect those who dont

It would sap resources from the main pvp. That is my main concern. If they could develop it with no impact to pvp, then sure. But I rather doubt they have access be that kind of resources.
