One of my favorite gametypes ever implemented, i actually miss the beta because of the frequency I would get to play it there. Elite on elite assassinations are just plain brutal and its a shame they dont get seen as often. Less precision weapons too so the match in general feels like a big brawl.
Would have really liked a separate playlist for elite slayer and similar gametypes, its very different from everything else since its one of the only two gametypes you can play as an elite (invasion being the other). Grifball got one, wish this one had one too I think it would keep the elite fandom coming back to Reach and keeping it alive, especially after the disappointment of no playable elites in halo 4.
I would fully support an Elite Slayer playlist if it meant Elite Slayer got removed from every other playlist it’s currently in. It’s annoying and most of the people voting for it have the maturity level of a 10 year old.

Yes! I’ve been asking for an Elite Slayer playlists for awhile now. I love playing as Elites.
They have no plans on adding more playlists to Reach, it has way too many already and just like Bungie did for Halo 3, 343i are reducing the amount of playlists for Halo: Reach so people can find games a lot easier when Halo: Reach isn’t getting support after Halo 4 comes out.
Elite Slayer getting its own playlist along with Super Slayer, Team Slayer & The Arena will total up to four playlists based on Slayer.
I honestly don’t think an Elite Slayer playlist would be very popular… But I’m sure there is a fanbase. As stated above I would be all for it, as long as it was removed from EVERYTHING else. But as Moa stated, I doubt they will add anymore playlists at this point.
I love playing as elite’s, always wanted to have a playlist just for them. Not exactly elite slayer, but more of a broad category like “the elite playlist”, so you can have elite versions of infection, team snipers, and team slayer. Sounds good to me!

Id be all for this that would be the dream. And I would be ok if they removed it from everything else i would go to the new playlist just for this and so would all the elite players who got snubbed in Halo 4. I feel this would deserve its own gametype more than the other gametypes mentioned purely for how unique it is in comparison to other gametypes. Doesnt have to be purely slayer either. King of the hill, btb, invasion slayer, capture the flag, all would work extremely well with elites. For btb the plasma pistol would have to be a little less accessible but thats about it. Team snipers with focus rifle would be fun, its and underused weapon, also human sniper is waaaaay too easy to head shot elites with.
btw I resent the comment about who votes for elite slayer, almost 20 and i still love playing as elites as im sure many many people do at near or above my age.
Elite Snipers would’ve been pretty sweet if they would’ve put the Beam Rifle in this game…
Elite Slayer is the best thing ever. Too bad nobody ever picks it on live

Just thought I would re-post that, not just Elite playlists, but any new playlists as a whole have a slim chance of becoming a reality.
I like it cause you get the Needle Rifle and Evade. We need Evade more…
I’d support this playlist. I like playing Elite Slayer, but you have to go into invasion for that, and it isn’t always picked. It has appeared in BTB from time to time, but the recent ‘Heavy Slayer’ battles are chosen the majority of the time.
I want a ES playlist just so I never have to play it. It’s an abomination filled with 10 year old kids going for assassinations, which are lame normally but these are even worse. What makes it worse is that you can get a semi power weapon, the needler, from the spawn. The fact it’s a big brawl means it’s not competitive at all, and I hate that.
My biggest complaint with Elite Slayer is that 99.999% of the weapons are worthless. You are better off running around with the plasma pistol or sticking people.

Seriously, I just want to enjoy my elite online in something other than Invasion, does wanting to be an Elite in something other than invasion make me a ten year-old, no I just want to be an Elite.
I do agree that there are to many slayer and as much as I would love an elite only playlist, it just won’t happen.
I still agree with this, just add in some other non-slayer gametypes.

Agreed. The plasma repeater and the plasma rifle are pretty bad (because of bloom and how fast they heat up). Needler is pretty good, being one of my favorite weapons throughout the series, because it can track people, it’s effective, but fairly easy to dodge, making it a bit more balanced. The plasma pistol is very effective for EMPing, but not for combat really, and the sword is easily taken out by shotguns. The concussion rifle is also pretty good, the fuel rod better than the rockets I think (although it doesn’t lock on to vehicles), and the Elite’s grenade itself is better than the frag. Although the focus rifle is neat and one of their only long ranged weapons, it fails to destroy vehicles and hard to focus on during long distance combat because it heats too fast. The Plasma cannon is also Eh at long distances where you must need it.
I would like to have an elite slayer playlist because it is annoying when you get like 5 people that are constantly talking and are voting for elite slayer everytime it does get really annoying but I would not mind a elite slayer playlist.
The only problem with Elite Slayer being its own playlist is I would never play anything else. I don’t care what everyone else says about it, I think it’s a lot of fun. How can you not love the Stickies flying everywhere?
