Before I continue, this is all dependent on the assumption that Halo 4 will have Halo Reach’s Armoury and rank system, and Halo 3’s achievement-orientated Armoury unlocks, and that we will be able to play as either Spartans or Elites like we could in Halo 3.
Right, now that we have that over, let’s get onto the suggestion.
In Halo 4, wouldn’t it be neat if not only did we have rank-based Armoury unlocks for the entire Spartan/Elite model, but also an achievement system where it tracks what you have done that allows you to mess with a piece on your Spartan/Elite model depending on what you did and what you play as?
Let’s say that the base Spartan model is the Mark V armour, and the Elite armour is Elite Minor, and that at rank brigadier you unlock extra armour that you can buy for either your Spartan or your Elite character.
Now while you play Halo 4, if you achieve certain feats like you did in Halo 3 to unlock certain Elite armour pieces, not only do you unlock a specific armoury piece (such as the Spec Ops helmet for the Elite by earning a Slice-and-Dice, 5 kills with the Energy Sword as an example)it is also automatically bought for you, and at the end of the game where you recieve your credits you are also notified of newly achieved armoury pieces.
