any guesses as to why they made elite core infantry have better range than brute core infantry ?

They have shrapnel mines, and possibly better anti-infantry or anti-vehicle use. I don’t know the exact details, considering the elite squads are still relatively new.

no, ur not getting what I mean. shrapnel mines is their ability and cloaking is for the other.
