I just got an elite controller a couple days ago. Beforehand, I got used to playing claw with bumper jumper, and once I got the elite, I didn’t want to completely change just because of the paddles. Because I’m playing claw, I can’t do paddles on the right side, but I’ve got both on the left. The lower one is set to crouch, and I have been switching the upper one from thrust to switch grenades to sprint.
Anyone else out there playing with a remotely similar setup (claw and paddles) with recommendations?

I claw and use a scuf and hit all the paddles fine. What do you mean you can’t get the ones on the right?

I think the scuf paddles are setup differently, the elite ones are difficult to reach comfortably with the ring and pinky fingers, so I opt not to. Plus, I think my hand would go into full-on revolt if I even tried. I’m just trying to figure out what my best setup would be given claw and two paddles to play around with since not many posts on here have similar recommendations
I switch between shooters a lot… so I try to keep a general FPS layout for convenience. I use the default set up with the two top paddles on the back; left for thruster boost and right for jump. Adding the 3rd and 4th paddles just does more harm than good for me.

Not me. I thought the point of the paddles was to allow you to hold the controller more conventionally while still maintaining constant contact with the thumbsticks.
I remember hearing one of the top pros discussing his Scuf controller, stating that because he played claw there was no need for him to have/use paddles.

I know the point of paddles is to make it so clawing isn’t necessary, but I do feel like claw plus a paddle for crouch is really effective. I’m starting to see improvements in my strafe since it’s easier to bob and weave if I’m not clicking the movement stick.
