Hi, i’ve got 2 major issues with my Elite controller v2 on Halo infinite

Im playing on PC w/ Elite controller v2 and -i tried a classic Xbox one controller and it’s working properly

Issue n°1 : The aim assist is broken : when i aim to someone, the aim assist kind of work and slowdown if im aiming the target but whenever im not on the target anymore there is an acceleration that is odd and uncontrollable, it is simply not possible to play to that game

Issue n°2 : On the Elite controller v2 the A/B/X/Y buttons doesn’t work properly, as in they work but not all the time so that sometimes i need to press 3,4 times Y to switch weapons bc it didn’t work the first time, i sent back my elite controller to microsoft and got a new one but it’s still there

I tried these fixes :

  • Reinstalling the game
  • Install software that increases my controller’s reactivity (1000hz)
  • Send back my controller to microsoft and i got a new one but the issue remain the same
  • Tried to uninstall all softwares that could add input lag such as monitoring softwares (RivaTuner etc)

Have you tried plugging in your Elite2 to someone elses console or on another PC. You need to do basic level fault finding to determine if it’s either the controller, PC software, PC hardware or Halo install.

When you exit aim assist zone the reticle moves faster. This part is normal. The fighter the sensitivity you play on, the more you feel the difference when you accidentally ovee aim with your right stick too much.

Yes i know that but they changed something, the aim in general became so weird, i’ll try to just slow my sensitivity

I hear that. Maybe just need to get used to it. Some peoole average 50+ accuracy a match. The aiming isn’t bad. Get used to the aim assist, and don’t over aim. Spartan strafe is fast in this game and what I notice is a lot of players just peg the heck out of their right stick trying to aim instead of having some discipline with it. The mechanics are in place to smooth the aim for game pad users, but it cannot do that if you’re moving your stick wildly during engagements.

I tried to play again and i feel it’s less weird, but i rate that advice 100% using more the strafe than the right stick is so good !!

Im a veteran of Halo im currently Diamond 6 almost Onyx but i was certain that they changed something between december and january, the Elite controller is still bugged on this game Tho, i’ll try to just send a ticket to the support…

That sucks bro. I actually have a elite v2 myself. My rank won’t go up man. I can’t find people to consistently play and win with so it goes all over the place lol. Like yoyo man.

I had to post here. I have the exact same issue with the elite 2.0. I cannot figure it out for the life of me. It’s like the right thumbstick wants to go wild and there is variable sensitivity. It’s not an acceleration issue either. Mine is set to 1 and it happens sometimes right when I took the right stick or sometimes when I’ve been holding it. If you move the stick back and forth quickly you’ll get this whipping motion. I can’t figure it out.

When I use the original Xbox one controller my shot is exceptional (55-60% accuracy). But I don’t have the paddles and the movement is horrible (I bind A and B for jump sliding).

Are you wired to the PC or is it Bluetooth?

This is Xbox one console. Bluetooth. But the other controllers are also Bluetooth that have no issue.

I really don’t think it’s a Bluetooth connectivity issue. Honestly, I could see it being some sort of issue with the game and frame rate. It feels like maybe the frame rate gets lagged and then the aiming catches us and just accelerates. It’s somewhat subtle but it’s obviously happening. I simply cannot figure it out

I went back to the original Xbox controller for now. It’s just way too frustrating and inconsistent with the elite 2.0 (not 1.0, which I own but is not at my home currently),

I have this exact same issue, if you are on PC, i think i found the issue : I was alway playing with overlay like Riva Tuner from MSI Afterburner to show FPS + other stuff.

When i turned off this software + restart the game the Sticks are back to normal so i think it’s a protection from cheating software, there is always issues with Easy anti-cheat and Rivatuner

I have the elite V2. I run into the same issues. My latest controller had such bad stick drift I had to open it up move the little green thing on the side of the inside of the stick and it worked again. Best controller. Worst qauilty
