Hello comrades!
I can not find the past post about the elite controller. When i do they are all incomplete. I would very mutch be greatfull about general feedback about:
- stick choice ( for me long ones are more precise)
- Button mapping( bumper jumper setting)
- Sensetivity( inner, outer, accel, look)
Thanks a lot in advance for taking the time to share!

i mean its really just base on how you wanna play the games controlsā¦

Thatās what the whole reason for that lump of cash. To play how you want to play it
Standard sticks
Paddles used for jump and boost on default controller layout
inner 0
outer 0
accel 2
look 3
I can answer number 2 and 3. I use bumper jumper as well. Give me a minute and I will update this post.
Upper Left Paddle: X
Lower Left Paddle: A
Upper Right Paddle: B (Reload/Board Vehicle)
Lower Right Paddle: Right Stick Press (Zoom-in)
Look Acceleration: 2
Sensitivity: 8-9
Both Dead Zones are set to 0%

Just curious. Why would you use bumper jumper with the elite controller, when you can use the paddles?
Iāve only changed one thing for now the rest is all defaultā¦I put a small paddle on upper right side, set to dash(B). As I get more and more used to this, I may tinker with other settings.

That may be hard to explain. Well basically bumper jumper was how I typically played Halo and I had Halo 5 before I had the Elite Controller. So when I got the Elite Controller I wanted to map all of the paddles, and I wanted them mapped in such a way that I donāt need to ever need to take my hands off the triggers or bumpers. My upper left paddle is for thrusters while my lower left paddle is for sprinting. With all that said, I no longer need to move my hands off the triggers with the exception of switching weapons and switching grenades, but usually I wouldnāt switch either in the middle of exchanging fire with an enemy player. Exchanging weapons mid-fight just take up time which I see as bad and so I had the paddles mapped to buttons I would only use in āfirefightā scenarios to maximize speed. During these firefight scenarios I would use thrusters, zoom-in, or reload for when they start running away or seeking cover. The paddles are faster than pressing X, A, Y, or B so that is why I only use those buttons for non-firefight scenarios, namely switching weapons.
thanks for sharing guys. More feedback from other players would be nice. I guess the only thing I have problem understanding is if the longer stick sizes help in any way.

Hey Joker - what do you have your Sensitivity Curves set to for each stick (Default / Aggressive / Smooth, etc.)?
I played a ton of Halo 5 with a regular controller and itās been a hard adjustment going to the Elite Controller. Something just doesnāt āfeel rightā in terms of accurate aiming with the pistol / gun battles. Just turned my Look Acceleration down to 2 and I think that might have been a big part of it.
Not to hijack the thread but I just wanted to ask a question. Iāve found one other person with the elite controller having the same issue as mine.
Has anyone using the switch for the hair trigger sometimes have it where you press the trigger to fire but the game doesnāt register it and you donāt shoot? It happens often with hair triggers so Iāve had to switch it off and not use the hair triggers.
Upper right paddle = A
Lower right paddle = B
Upper left paddle = X
Lower left paddle = Y
Finding it difficult to use the left paddles consistently. Itāll take some time to adjust.
No issues with hair trigger lock but have to switch off for weapons that require charging.

You donāt have to switch it off - go into the Accessories app (Triggers setting) and adjust Dead Zones to 50% (search the forums for a screenshot if you get stuck).
bumper jumper, top left paddle for crouch and top right for thrust. sensitivity 3, aim acceleration 2, deadzones both at zero. dont really need to use all 4 paddles.

What do you have your Sensitivity Curves set to for each stick (Default / Aggressive / Smooth, etc.)?
My elite controller should be in tmw. Interested to see what people are running. I guess it will vary person to person though. I think I havce a good idea what Iāll run in the halo settings, more interested to hear about what people are doing to the sensitivity curves and what not.
I have an elite controller for my home and my second one for āon the roadā should be in today. Iāve never played bumper jumper, seems like my brain is too set on āreconā. I had to take two paddles off because I kept fat fingering the paddles. And I have thin fingers!
Back paddles are jump and melee. This controller far exceeds that of the horrible Scuf controllers.

I have been unable to replicate my aiming accuracy with the Elite controller regardless of what settings I try. Can aim much better with just a regular controller. Part of the problem with the Elite is that there are too many settings.
