Elite Controller Club

So you have an Elite Controller? What settings are you using? Yes we’ve heard tons of complaints about deadzones, X/Y Axis Speeds, and acceleration…have you found any way to minimize the effect using the Elite’s huge amount of customization options? What have you found that just seems to work? Obviously there won’t be a “one-size fits all,” but I wouldn’t mind seeing what settings you are all using.

Here’s a paranoid thought for you all:

Perhaps HALO 5’s aiming “problems” are geared towards promoting sales of the MICROSOFT XBOX ELITE Controller.

MICROSOFT does own the XBOX Gaming Platform and 343.

I wanted an Elite so bad, but I can’t really think of any games coming out that’d require it.
Tomb Raider? Fallout? Not necessary.
Maybe I’ll pick one up for MCC.

the controller looks so crazy! i want one of them, or directly two für playing with my feet at the same time

My understanding was that the controllers settings only affect the dead zones in said controller. However if the game’s code has built in dead zones the controller wouldn’t positively affect game play. Idk if this is the case or not? As I was wondering the same thing.

Scuf controllers are better. So much so, Microsoft just acquired the rights to use their patents. Check em out.

I sold my SCUF to pick up the Elite and am much happier with the Elite. The only difference is the SCUF may take a little more force to press the back paddles down (which is a positive) but for the price of the Elite you get so much more than $150 into a SCUF will get you. Not to mention SCUF has horrible customer service in case anything ever were to go wrong.

I’ve never had any problems with their customer service, but there are more fine-tube options on the elite. I got the chance to try one out, and the paddles just felt like they were in a weird spot. It’s nice to see gaming hardware advancing though. Now, if we could only fix the aim in Halo 5… (Yes, I went there)
