I really hope halo 4 actually will let you customise your elite to whatever you want him to look like. Plz comment and give suggestions to this thread. We can take customisation for multiplayer to the next step. This thread is solely just to help the multiplayer be what it could achieve.

Eye color would add a more unique experience when it comes down to
how your elite will look. I also think it will make your elite look more customised.
Armour Color:
Red - Blue
Green - Purple
Gold - Metallic Colors
Orange - White
Black
Very basic Colors but maybe a color wheel with all shades of color would
be a nice addition.
Armour Attachments:
Wrist Blade (Halo Reach)
Elite Knifes
Plasma Grenade Belt
Piece of Mark 5/6 armour (Repaired with U.N.S.C armour)
Elite style Datapad (Wrist)
Spikes on Armor
Attachments would also give your elite more character to show what kind
of elite you would be if you were one. This would make a more “Diverse” Multiplayer.
This would make gameplay more unique and you wouldn’t see the same elites all the time.
Give Suggestions and I will add more to this list.
Now this is what I like I really hope you can do things like this in Halo 4.
Although I don’t think that Elites will be a main specie in Halo 4 but this Idea would sill be amazing to be used, no matter what specie the new enemy is.

Thanks and the elites will always be a part of halo’s multiplayer. Do you have any suggestions?

Well I hope so, but Franki did say no purple. But anything is a possibility I reckon elites will return but not as a major role, although I do hope they make a return in the series some how. fingers crossed
The Sangheili have a lot of cultural connection to their rank and armor. Everything they do is thrived off of their achievements in battle. I remember reading somewhere that the relevance of their armor, like any military, is important. Allowing too much customization would break a lot of the wonderful things that make Elite’s Elites.
Each class within their militia, “The Coventant”, has it’s own armor configuration. Unique armor simply wasn’t created.
An interesting idea but I hope they go back to something like Halo 3 armor, or preferably earlier where all armor looks the same other than color (or several colors) and when you change the color it changes all of the colors unlike in Reach with all the ugly packs and so on.

maybe instead of customising their armor you could just choose from a list of the ranks. So they could add all the ranks and you can choose from any of them to play in the multiplayer. But There is no such thing as too much customisation for multiplayer cause the elites are very limited compared to the spartans.
If you think customisation would ruin the elite ranks, then you also have to understand that customising the spartans make no sense at all. ODST helmet with emile’s shoulder piece with a gold visor makes no sense to cannon. Customisation is for Diversity online. It just to make the experience more broad instead of it being the same thing the whole time.

Not at all. The Spartan MJOLNIR armor have many variants developed by the UNSC and customization was not uncommon for different operatives or specializations. They list most of those in Reach and in Halo 3 in the armor descriptions. Spartans get more customization because the UNSC allows and supports more customization.
I do not think allowing a choice of Ranks to pick from for the Sangheili is a bad idea, in fact, they did something similar in Reach, Spec Ops, General, etc. However, including classes like Councillor or Honor Guard wouldn’t work in multiplayer since the hitboxes would vary too greatly. It might cause more arguments than it’s worth in approval.

If any customisations they were small, they didnt allow ODST’s to have Master Chief’s helmet is a perfect example due to cost.
But customisation to armour doesn’t matter for multiplayer simply because multiplayer ruins cannon all together because of the fact its Spartans killing Spartans for no reason. lol
Also, the hitboxes wouldn’t be an issues cause they can just modify them to look more updated and make their helmets smaller in halo 4. Look at the height of the elites for example. They were exactly the same in halo 2 as the spartans and in reach they arnt. They still play just as find because they had to update them to fit.

In Halo: Reach Elites and Spartans are rarely in the same game/playlist BECAUSE of height, canon issues. In the books they talk about the size of elites, the Sangheili are supposed to be very tall, much more than Chief and Chief is much taller than your average human. Regardless of this, I believe it was mentioned somewhere that the “multiplayer” are simulations for training. Despite that note, the point is moot, accuracy in a “simulation” would be important. It is to better prepare the Spartan for life or war.
There needs to be a happy medium between keeping things open for players and keeping the peace with die hard fans.
I am huge fan of Halo and customization so I feel myself torn at times. If it came down to it, I would rather they stay true to the lore and world than vary more than they already have, losing validity and respect in the process.

Your telling me that you wouldn’t like to create an elite that custom to your likes/desires? You would be able to make an elite that would most likely resemble what you could picture yourself as if you were one. You would be unique and wouldn’t be the same as everyone else.

Aslo maybe a very small customisation like armour color and eye color. Not all elites look the same. They aren’t genetically all the same. Similar but unique and different.

When we run out of things to update or change, we ask for more. But there is no more. This isn’t an RPG, like Skyrim or something like Mass Effect, where the character you create is important and unique. Instead you don’t even exist. I can see the cascades of fan fiction now. The horror. In Reach they changed that a little and modified Noble 6 to try and make everyone happy. I enjoyed it, but that isn’t what Halo is.
