Toughts? I think it’s really odd as I don’t see RvB being that big of a thing.
RvB is the second longest running sci fi show. <—Big thing.

haha Maybe it’s just strange to me as I remember when RvB was just a little thing that barely anyone knew about. It’s pretty crazy how big both Halo and RvB got. Not to mention all the time that has passed since the early days… Makes me feel so freakin old.

I feel noobish, I found RvB last year.
But yeah, I’m pumped for season 10! Too bad my prediction was wrong, I thought there would be golden letters!
Elijah (while a good actor) isn’t exactly a “big thing”, either. Name me how many movies he’s done since LOTR.
We’ve got hobbits in Halo… will their relentless pursuit of all things EVER end?
> Elijah (while a good actor) isn’t exactly a “big thing”, either. Name me how many movies he’s done since LOTR.
Just to name a few:
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (FANTASTIC movie)
- Happy Feet + Happy Feet 2
- Paris, je t’aime (another fantastic film)
- Sin City
- 9
- LotR
- Back to the Future: Part II
- The Adventures of Huck Finn
- Oliver Twist
- Spy Kids 3-D
He’s also the voice of Sypro the Dragon and Deimos from God of War, he’s hosted Punk’d, Saturday Night Live, and Yo Gabba Gabba!, not to mention he’s been in/directed numerous music videos for The Lonely Island and the Beastie Boys, to name a few.
He’s also won and was nominated for numerous Kid’s Choice Awards, Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Hollywood Film Festival, and the Daytime Emmys.
But yea, he’s no big deal.

I didn’t discover it last year, but it’s when I decided to see what it’s like. Started off so simple, and funny. I then found myself pretty engrossed in the story, which was getting a lot deeper than I ever thought it’d be. Was quite a shock just how much it developed into a meaty show.
Looking forward to season 10, for sure.

Star Trek is the first right?

No, I think Doctor Who has been around since the early 60’s
A number of big name actors also do smaller things, simply because they want to. George Clooney has been known to do small budget movies for very little pay. Elijah Wood stars in the US version of Wilfred, that’s pretty obscure in many ways. Could be that he’s a fan and that’s why he’s doing it.
Star Trek is not the longest running scifi show nor is it second. It’s actually Doctor Who. Stargate SG1 is the longest running American sci fi show of all time. RvB will tie them this year. Star Trek only lasted for about 3 seasons or so. Of course you have the other Star Trek shows but they’re technically not the same.

It what terms?
Doctor Who has 33 seasons and over 785 episodes
Star Trek has 30 seasons and 725 episodes
Stargate has 380 episodes
The X-Files had 9 seasons and 202 episodes
Red vs. Blue has 9 seasons (soon to be 10) and 191 episodes (includes mini-series, but not special videos/PSAs).
Still, RvB is the most successful machinima in the history of the art and responsible for the current machinima crazt. It’s definitely a big thing

I think what they mean is that RvB is soon to be ten years old. The X-Files stopped in its ninth year. There a different series in Star Trek and Stargate, none of which have reached ten years. So in that regard, the only sci-fi series that has been going longer is Doctor Who.
I’m Psyched for Season 10!! =D But I’m not much of a fan of Elijah Wood… Although it’ll be pretty entertaining to have Frodo in RvB. lol =)
Not only am I looking forward to season 10 of RvB alot but nore do I mind Elijah Wood being init, I like his voice :3
