Elemental skulls mode idea

While looking at a photo of the campaign skulls with their different symbols. I had the Idea of a mode where you spawn with a skull that has a random effect such as:
Vampiric: From the Vampire ball mode where it absorbs the other players shield

Explosive: No self inflicted damage obviously

Electric: Would perfectly counter Vampiric with EMP to shields

Fire/plasma fire : Fire damage is done as well as leaving damaging flames on the ground

Repulsing: Launches players for a guaranteed pancake kill

One like the oddball in the multiplayer trailer that launches and ragdolls the player

This gave me an idea for a gametype. It’s random and I came up with it in like 15 mins. Tell me what you think lol

Hoard the Skulls

Each player has a skull in their inventory(like a weapon). Slay your opponents and collect as many Skulls as you can. If you are killed, you drop a certain amount of your total skulls. Once you get killed with ZERO skulls, you are eliminated.

There are regular Skull pick-ups that act as extra lives and special Skull Power-Ups that both periodically spawn around the map in open areas which you hold/equip like a weapon, and depending on which Skull Power-Up you have they can empower your weapon, shields, or grenades etc.

You spawn with a Starting weapon(AR/BR/Sidekick/idc) and a regular Skull. You can pick up other weapons but you will only have one weapon and grenades, with limited equipment. The point is to find a Skull Power-Up(you can hold only one type of skull) and get some bonus damage or bonus shields or even camo or elemental damage like how the OP talks about.

A Skull Power-Up and a Regular Skull would essentially be the same thing(1 point, 1 extra life) but the Power-Up would obviously come with it’s own advantages.

If one player started dominating the match, then the rest of the players could gang up on them to try and steal their skull, or wait to grab the new Power Skull about to spawn in. This could be played on a BTB map or a smaller map, testing would probably need to be required lol

Yeah that’s interesting. My idea was physically holding different versions of the oddball. It would be a chaotic melee mode
