Either remove the leaver ban, or fix the team balancing. Nothing in between

It’s been a good 2 years since the MCC came to PC, and it is still an unbalanced mess in socials. It’s riddled with smurfs, cheaters and the teams are ALWAYS a landslide unbalance. It’s getting, quite frankly, pathetic at this point.

Every single game, my team is either being curb-stomped into a 50-7 defeat, or it’s my team thats doing the curb stomping. There is genuinely 0 middle ground, it’s pathetic. The game isn’t FUN. It’s quite clear that 343 doesn’t understand what Halo is, but Surely someone on the MCC dev team has an inkling of a clue, and can see that the matches are abhorently unbalanced. The fact that the game is unbelievably easy to smurf in is also a huge problem. Gamepass, as great as it is, has done nothing good for this game in terms of actually attracting new players, and has instead opened the gates to easy smurfing.

If I don’t want to be curb stomped into oblivion, I want to leave the game and re-queue. But no, I am forced to sit through a garbage matchup, which shouldn’t even be happening in the first place. So no matter what, the game is boring and simply not fun to play. At all.

343i for the love of all that is decent on this green earth, stop making garbage cosmetics that no one asked for. Fix the glaring issues in your games. Get a -Yoink!- grip.

Yes please. It’s absolutely horrific. So annoyed this is still an issue.

To be fair a lot of people myself included like the cosmetics, HOWEVER you are right that 343 needs to axe the quit ban in anything and everything that is NOT an official competitive ranked playlist.

I get that people might like the cosmetics, but it should not be as high on the priority list as it is. There are far more glaring issues that have gone unfixed since day 1.

I’ll definitely agree that competitive should maintain the leaver ban, because leaving (in theory) has a far bigger impact on the outcome of the game when playing competitively. But surely, there is a way to implement team-filling for social modes?

That way leavers who don’t want to be pummeled into dust get to leave, and those who stay can get someone to fill in their missing player slot. Win-win. It’s also a good way of re-balancing a match where a player has had a disconnect or client crash, leaving a team with 1 less person from the get-go.

I’d rather not see JIP. It’s less fair to the joiner because they just get pummeled into dust instead. This WAS a problem with both Halos 4 and 5. Notice how people rarely complained about quitting in Halo during the 3/Reach era, and only started whining AFTER 343 took over?

Honestly no JIP and quit ban should be COMPLETELY removed from anything that isn’t competitive ranked.

Thats fair, and yes this leaver ban simply has got to go. Or, they can actually fix the balancing. But that would require listening to the community, which is something they aren’t particularly fond of doing.

I’d like to see an avoid list added too honestly. The game is rife with cheaters and AFK players. I’d like something that will at least let me refuse a matchup with or against those people.
