Effects from getting disconnected

Hey everybody, over the past couple days I have been disconnected from a few matches in WZ turbo. All of them have been 16+ minutes into the game which obviously sucks for the lost time and XP, approaching close to the 100kxp and over 2 hours I have lost out on this weekend, but what I am more curious about are the stats, reqs, and medals gained/lost during the match.

I have been grinding towards Achilles hoping to get that helmet, and we are focusing on melees right now and I have easily gotten 100+ melee’s in the matches that were DC’d and want to know if I can count them. Additionally I used many Req’s and boost in those matches. I never know when they will happen so I always forget to check a before/after to see the results.

I am just curious if anyone knows if these things get refunded, counted or are lost forever after a DC.

I believe (but check your service record to be sure) all in-game stats are still recorded and will be shown as DNF.

What is lost, however, is the XP/RP and any boosts used as the game cannot distinguish between a disconnect and a quit

While its sad to lose the boosts I already assumed the xp/rp was gone which sort of makes sense but is still brutal to have happen after 15+ minutes of gaming. So long the stats are kept I can feel a lil bit better though, especially if this counts for commendations which is the real grind I am getting stuck behind.

Yeah sadly. I understand why, though otherwise you’d have quitters left right and centre

Perhaps, but I have been thinking over it a bit and I have come to think the banhammer system should be sufficient and I really think that there should be some way to give some credit for the amount of time and kills one got in match before the DC/quit. Req boosts should definitely be refunded in my opinion.

The current system probably fails to actually stop excessive quitters in any way than temporary banns dont already, and it probably just punishes good player subject to bad servers or poor timing unfairly. I think about all the XP and reqs I have lost over the years and I have to ask myself if it was worth it to stop some quitters from my WZ or social games and I think the answer is no.

Obviously credit for completion is out of the question, which is like 90% of the reward for H5, but hopefully for future in the series there is at least some token for the time and energy spent. I just got DC’d from a 20 minute WZ match I used a Legendary boost on and was in 1st place for. Feels bad man.

Are your DCs connections issues? It sounds liek you’re having them quite a lot?

Wired connection may help.

Again unfortunately here there’s no way to distinguish between a legitimate connection issue and a dashboard quit. Rather than leave a loophope which people can and will exploit it needs to be the current system.

From a teammate perspective: I don’t care if someone quits or gets DCed … it still impacts me

Wired connection may help, although I think it’s actually an issue of the game crashing rather than a proper network disconnect. Ironically it is the matches with the least lag that tend to crash for me. It’s also probably the fact that I have been binge playing since returning, so with many matches comes with greater chance that a DC/crash will occur.

As far as allowing for partial credit for partial matches goes, I don’t see how that will create a dangerous loophole so long the current system of bans stays in place. 1 DC every X matches = no problem and partial credit given, while 2+ DC’s every X matches = escalating series of temporary bans. This would stop people from intentionally abusing the system while allowing individuals in unfortunate circumstances to keep some of their earned gains.

I am okay with more strict rules in Arena especially Ranked Arena, but for Social games and WZ I always wished there were more lenient rules especially considering people can just join after someone leaves (also the rounds are 3x as long!).
