They need to update the penalty for quitting out of games, I can’t play 2 games in a row without someone quitting out, it’s getting ridiculous!
You know what will brighten your day? Read some of the many threads of people whining about their bans. Cheers me up every time I open one.
Go find a group of people to play Halo 5 with.
Making the Penalty harsher is only going to reduce Population and in doing so create more Terrible games for people.
Lol! Glad they’re doing something about it, jeez…

The quitting problem needs to be addressed. I myself am a sometimes dirty quitter, but it’s something that could be fixed, if addressed.

Worst response ever in the history of the internet.

There isn’t a way to account for it as Not everyone Quits Willingly ie Lag and other situations.
A penalty is in place the issue has been addressed. The only other thing 343 could do was Ban them from Halo 5 Multiplayer which is again going to be more hurtful to themselves than anyone else.
Sometimes people lag or glitch out of the game. It happedned to me twice the other night; both times my time was winning, no reason to quit. I’ve quit games when I see people on the other team teleporting around the map and not taking damage.
Having a major ban for quitting/disconnecting would even more harm the current population.

If you quit, someone comes to your house and kicks you in the teeth. But that would probably be too expensive.
I hate it when people quit in Arena (If its social or Warzone, who cares right? They are JIP) but when your rank/placement is on the line and you’re working hard it does suck to have people quit on you. That is why I like this quote,

So true!
If penalizing them is gonna ruin the population, then, as much as I hate to say it, they need to allow people to join mid game or something… I know it ruins the integrity of the match, but at least it would b 4 on 4…
I think it was “Gears Of War 3” where there wasn’t an option to quit. The only way to do it was turn off your Xbox or restart the game. I think they should do something like that where they don’t make quitting an option when you press start.

I like that idea!

I NEVER get in a match with a full team on the map Overgrowth. they need to remove the sword. People also quit on Plaza. Not sure how to fix that map.
I propose that whoever quits, and then tries to join another match in Arena, they will be placed in that same match they quitted on. In all honesty though, the only time I quit is whenever there is a warzone map I do not prefer to be on after playing it 3 times in a row. But that is because of map rotation, and I quit before the match starts. Barely never for Arena though, as it ruins sportsmanship. Having a major ban though like others stated will just serve to hurt the community more then the players themselves as not everyone quits out of frustration.
We need both sides to make it work more efficently. Ban those that quit and reward those that contantly stay. It’s ridiculous that we need a reward for playing something we’re meant to enjoy, but for those wonky players it takes away even more than just a little time they can’t play.
So they decide not to. Some of them.
I’m not a greedy REQ kid that just wants every possible reward thrown at him, but having more downsides to quitting should make it less common.
Ruins my Arena experience for days sometimes, it’s unbearable.
Well don’t just charge in and start talking everyone has a reason for quitting
