I thought when a monitor locked a thread you get a chance to edit it to get it unlocked, is this not correct?
I haven’t heard anything about this. Editing a flagged post removes the flag, unless it’s flagged again, and then it can’t be unflagged unless a moderator does so.
Also, you can’t edit posts after a certain amount of time.

Thanks. Its pretty rough in these threads. Trying to get a good discussion is hard. Especially when they lock threads that refer to gamer’s including the poster as being treated like toddlers and don’t actually call anyone a toddler.
I just seen a thread get locked because someone wanted to discuss the body types. I don’t get it.

You shouldn’t really discuss mods full stop.
Just try to be less antagonist in your phrasing.
All those threads were rightfully locked.
Be clearer in your logic explain your point rather than shoving your thoughts at people.
Cut the anecdote and opinion and just type it in clear unemotional language and you should be alright.
And perhaps present it more as a question than fact.
Read the guidelines if you need to.

I’m going to try and give you the benefit of the doubt since this is a new forum and I get the gist that you haven’t used the Waypoint forums recently.
Any sort of name-calling, INCLUDING referring to an individual as a “toddler” even if you do not directly call anyone that is easily labelled as non-constructive, and against forum rules. It really isn’t hard to have good quality discussions/debates on the forums, just for some people it seems to be difficult to avoid hyperbolic terms or non-constructive statements.

I’ve seen way worse in some posts I just seen one that referred directly to 343 employees as asinine, which means extremely stupid or foolish. It wasn’t me but it was there. Not Blocked.

It didn’t read all that clearly to me anyway.
My first reaction was, “this is gonna get heated immediately.”
Also using terminologythat belittles anyone is prohibited.
You probably didn’t intend it to be but it was the case. Intent isn’t the issue it was entirely due to how you expressed the points made not the points being made.
If that makes sense.

Youu are just making assumptions on why they were locked.
The guidelines are strict but clear and fair.

And those posts and posters will be moderated in time. We’re figuring out this forum and new system just like everyone else. Doesn’t mean that type of behavior is appropriate.

Did you flag it? If not then that is as much on you than anyone else.
Flag inappropriate comments when you see them.

The eat you mush was a movie reference too along with why is there a cork on the fork. In the movie it was applesauce but I was concerned about letter count in the title.
