You kinda saw it coming when they were discussing plans of making it a saga. By that I mean, up to Halo 9, the first Trilogy was the Covenant War, this Trilogy is the Forerunners the next maybe the rise of the Precursors/Mantle of Responsibility/Flood hell pouring in the human colonies.
