So I was playing Halo: Reach today when I remembered that Jun flies of with Halsey near the end of the game. I speculated the possibilities and while we know that Halsey ends up on Onyx (if 343 truly does tend to weave the novels in closer to the games), but what of Jun?
I’ve been thinking about it and I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a strong possibility that Jun was transferred by the UNSC and/or ONI to train the next generation of Spartans playing a role in Halo 4.
Do any of you guys think there is a possibility of Jun making a surprise appearance in Halo 4? If so what do you expect?
EDIT: I realize Jun is NOT a fan favorite amongst most of us. But this isn’t about whether or not he is liked this is a speculative thread about his possible role in Halo 4.
No, just no. Jun was the second most annoying noble team member(Emile being number one, Kat being number three, lastly is Carter. Jorge is a boss and not annoying). I Would rather have johnson return in some weird cheesy way than have Jun come back.

While I agree that Jun was absolutely not my favorite character on the team, I really can’t see what they plan on doing with the character. Unless they just want him to completely drop off the face of the earth.

343 has no plans to bring him back anyway, I think franky said something about this when asked.

> Galaxy*
Yeah galaxy in game, but I said Earth because we have a character that the writers and directors can use in Halo 4 to give an explanation about his fate.
JUN IS DEAD, WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND, it has been explained in countless fan fictions, one was even published by 343! Why would you want such a useless emotionless character to return?

I never heard that 343i said he died and you must be the only one!

I agree, fan fictions are hardly worth noting and if you say one is backed up by 343 you’re gonna have to provide a link for that.

A Fistfull of arrows is published by 343 and appears almost every week on Halo waypoints front page.
I highly doubt we’ll see Jun again. The whole point of Noble team in Reach was that they all sacrificed themselves to allow John to later do what he did to save the galaxy. There is also the fact that Jun wasn’t with Halsey when the other Spartans reached her, so it is most likely he died.
Besides, Jun was one of the most annoying characters in Reach, why anyone would want to believe he is alive or even want him back is beyond me. If anyone from Noble was to reappear in the series I’d rather have it be Jorge somehow surviving the slipspace jump, but it’s safer to say they are all dead.
I doubt they will even though I believe there is a chance he may still be alive. I just think they will focus on the Characters they want to focus on. It would be cool if he at least had a cameo, hint or something like that. Maybe a locker on board the Infinity with “J-266” on it? Or they can have you open up a casualty list and see all the members of Noble Team listed as MIA? They don’t need to actually have him in the game to acknowledge whether or not he’s dead.
