Eden needs fixing!

When you are playing on Eden and am on Red Team, you are basically screwed. Because Blue team players can easily colour-blend into Eden’s Blue-Teal-lish ascetics and it’s so damn frustrating to locate Blue team players at mid range and beyond because their armor’s colours blend so well into the environment. Several times when I got shot in front of me and the enemy’s at mid range or long range, I can barely put up a counterfight because I cannot even tell where they are located at! How did this made it past playtesting?

During an interview with IGN on a developer’s commentary video with Halo 2 MP lead Max Hoberman, Max explained that the reason why Lockdown was given a more neutral-color ascetic:

Because in the original Lockout, there was feedback that Red Team players were at a disadvantage since their Blue Team counterparts could colour-blend into the bluish parts of Lockout easily and thus were given an unfair visual advantage.

So I thought 343i would had learnt not to repeat this same mistake?

Seriously I hope the final game build of Eden has a more neutral colour ascetic, like yellowish to prove no advantage to either Red or Blue team. Anyone else has this problem?

OP is a whiney baby. Get a better TV to play on. I have no problem seeing enemies on my 120" projection screen.

I wish eden was not in the full game. To me, it looks so close to empire but at the same time it’s different. It throws me off when I, for example, am backing up and shooting at a player and planing a escape root but hit a wall because I am thinking of empire not Eden. Like at least regret feels similar to truth but looks completely different

Agreed, a reskin of Eden would be good for a couple of reasons:

  1. Blue Team blends in
  2. To avoid confusion between Empire and Eden (this is a more minor issue as most have little problem with forge maps, but it wouldn’t hurt to fix)
