When you are playing on Eden and am on Red Team, you are basically screwed. Because Blue team players can easily colour-blend into Eden’s Blue-Teal-lish ascetics and it’s so damn frustrating to locate Blue team players at mid range and beyond because their armor’s colours blend so well into the environment. Several times when I got shot in front of me and the enemy’s at mid range or long range, I can barely put up a counterfight because I cannot even tell where they are located at! How did this made it past playtesting?
During an interview with IGN on a developer’s commentary video with Halo 2 MP lead Max Hoberman, Max explained that the reason why Lockdown was given a more neutral-color ascetic:
Because in the original Lockout, there was feedback that Red Team players were at a disadvantage since their Blue Team counterparts could colour-blend into the bluish parts of Lockout easily and thus were given an unfair visual advantage.
So I thought 343i would had learnt not to repeat this same mistake?
Seriously I hope the final game build of Eden has a more neutral colour ascetic, like yellowish to prove no advantage to either Red or Blue team. Anyone else has this problem?
