Ive been playing tons of solo queing 3v3 . I dont see many do this so I thought itd be a nice easy tip to share.
Scounting…
Obviously, we know that Air<infantry<vehicles<air
early game, spawn a Jackrabbit, Ghost or Chopper to quickly run over to the opposing base to see what they are doing. The first 5 pads is key information about how you should play. usually they have 3 resource, 1 generator to start and that 5th building is KEY to how they are playing early game.
If they choose a armory, most likely they will be using a Hero, Cheap Infantry, or Turtle Turrets.
2nd generator, rushing to tier 2 or fast expansion
barracks, massing tier 1 infantry or atleast preping for an infantry army.
Knowing what your opponent is working towards is essential to winning the battle. You can see him massing infantry units, and simply build vehicles and anti-infantry before he even knows what your army looks like. Or maybe you see that hes going straight resources and you can take that opportunity to put pressure on a defenseless base or even take that opportunity for early expansion.
Scouting is super essential. keep a scout around all the time, know what your enemy is doing ALL THE TIME. Its never too late to switch up to win the war.
Hope this helps.

“Obviously, we know that Air>Infantry>Vehicles>Air”
This is wrong/backwards
The correct order is,
Infantry>Air>Vehicle>Infantry.
Just had to correct this first, I literally couldn’t finish reading the rest of your post because of it.

I press the wrong arrow, my bad. Thanks for correcting me.

Scout spam, or core infantry spam.

If they are building 4 sup 1 gen?
My guess is they are either Rushing with basic infantry units or going for that expansion.
My response to seeing that would be some early hellbringers putting pressure on there base. Make them work for whatever they are trying to do. When you see this though, you cannot wait too long, get a decent size force and proceed to put pressure asap…If you wait too long making hellbringers, that resource start that they have will push them into tier 2 where they are able to respond to your units much quicker. As soon as your applying pressure, respond to any infantry units and structures 2nd while you keep bringing over more Hellbringers.
I play 3v3, so I dont expect to win this small battle. I expect to get a response from team mates. As soon as the battle shifts tide, pull out your units. After this battle I work towards tier 2 units. By now I should know what their tier 2 plan is. If I dont, I lead with infantry/vehicle combo. Of course im going to continue scouting to keep an eye.
Sometimes when their team mates respond to my pressure a team mate will reveal what he is working on and I will adjust appropriately since the player I attacked will be behind anyways.
As I play too im vocal about this, wether my team mates have mics or not. Its valuable information.
Now if your building 4 Sup 1 Gen… only chance I would take building this is if I scouted and they were going with a 5 resource build as well or im just doing it faster then them. Its super risky though, if they are building a barracks or armory… you need to expand, QUICKLY because they will be able to counter those base infantry easily. idk im just guessing, 4 sup 1 gen is a super early funneled strat. too predictable.
I know this isn’t really to do with scouting but I see this happen way too often so I thought I’ld give a helpful tip in regards to building armies. Instead of relying on one singular Barracks/Garage/Aitpad etc, make sure you have at least 2-3 (3 at late game if you’ve got the supplies) as you’ll make armies so much faster. I see many people just have one construction building and it never ends well for them as they cannot reproduce units fast enough if their forces die. To add on to this, make sure there is at least one construction building on every base for if you rely on one single base to build an army, it could be destroyed and in turn you are now severely hindered.
I hope this was just some common knowledge, but for those who didn’t think of doing this, using these tips will help improve your game.

Right, just because you have a building, doesnt mean you shouldnt make others in different locations. Its a good habit especially when the battle is taking place outside of your primary base.(hopefully)
