Easy Anti Cheat issue: YOU WERE KICKED (No Explanation/Error code)

Tells me to visit the EAC site to resolve the issue but I have done EVERYTHING on their site, updated to the new Windows 10 version, updated drivers, verified integrity of game files via Steam, but nothing seems to be working here… I Googled it and I cannot find any discussions, the Steam forum mod banned me for discussing Aim Assist so I could not go there…

Bummer. If you can give me a little more detail I could give you some steps to try.

When does this happen? In campaign? In multiplayer?
Which games does this happen for? Halo: Reach, Halo 3, etc.
Precisely when does it kick you? Before it starts or after playing for a while?

It’s possible that EAC is detecting something that it doesn’t like. I know I’ve heard of a PC case RGB driver that has an exploit so it’s detected and blocked. Having Cheat Engine or another similar kind of program installed might make it proactively block you.

Are you using the Steam version or the Windows Store version?

Matchmaking only on everything except H2A and H4, got Steam. I checked the files and did everything on easy.ac/support to no avail! Even did a clean install! Nothing seems to work!

If it’s persisting past a clean install then it’s likely the map and gametype files themselves aren’t the issue. (I’d go ahead and verify game files anyway since sometimes for some games that STILL does something after a fresh install.)

Glad you tried to troubleshoot the EAC client itself.

So it happens on anything except H2A and H4. That sounds like it rules out a 3rd party program being the cause… but why these and not the others? I don’t have a guess.

If you haven’t already I’d send this in to 343i as a bug report. They’re slow to respond but they do tally the reports up to fix issues and they’ve previously said that problems that prevent people from playing the game are the highest priority bug. It’s worth a shot.

Having the same issue on Microsoft Store.

Assuming the patch that went out today doesn’t include a fix, try this:

First, go to Start and right click the game icon, then select App settings. On the page that loads, click the Repair button. You shouldn’t need to do this again every time you want to play.

Each time you want to play, go to Start, right click the game icon and select ‘Run as administrator’

I’ve also seen people suggest adding the shipping.exe file as an exception in their anti virus app works.

Hello, i’m having the same issue, regarding that there isn’t a fix at all.

I’m having EAC issues with steam Repairing the service an or redownloading it doesn’t do anything.

Running Commands to fix it still doesn’t do anything, list goes on.

it seems to be that new installs of mcc for steam makes eac >bugout<.

And it’s really annoying me now i’m very tempted to remove the game.

If anyone has and fix, let me know an the others that are also affected, thank you

Pretty sure EAC is the main cause of the UE4 fatal errors I see frequently.

Not really.
That’s mainly GPU.

Or Things loading to fast/slow.

it also happens when EAC is disabled soo

UPDATE TO THIS TOPIC.

There might be a workaround.

dealing that this version of MCC on steam is a little buggy.
I found this out by the fact my games files for the covenant weapons show up with a scrambled name, and not there real names.

A potential reason that could be cursing the issues.

Kind Regards,

Use the following if you are running the steam Version!

  1. Goto Steam
  2. Right click in Halo MCC
  3. Select Properties
  4. Click on local files
  5. Click on Verify Files

That’s it. Then Boot up the game and see if that helps!

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:
