Easy Anti-Cheat Incident #C0000001

Yo,

Anyone ever had this issue? I looked for solutions far and wide but nothing seems to have helped solve this. The game was working over a week ago, nothing has changed as far as I am aware.

When launching the game, EAC loads, then freezes steam and windows explorer for about 20 seconds then launches the game.

Solutions tested:
Verifying integrity of the files.
Going to Installers > EAC setup, uninstalling and repairing.
Deleted EAC folders, verified files and tested after re-download, same issue.
Checked Malwarebytes and Windows Security dashboards, there are no blocks for EAC.

One thing I did note is that instead of the title name it says Current (Game 426) instead of Halo Master Chief Collection but the files do seem to install the correct location.

Definitely submit a ticket. Not that they will help, but at least then you can confirm you’ve submitted one.

Yeah I have - just posted here too in case someone has information too

Well guys I hope you have better luck with Tek Support than I did regarding EAC .

Here is what they said to me:

However, since this error is related to EAC, I’m afraid that this situation is out of our scope to support. If you need further assistance with this issue, please contact EAC support at https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support.

Side Note: I sent EAC a Support Ticket. It;s been over a week now! Still no reply!

Halo MCC works great if I turn off EAC The bad part you can’t play MCC in multiplayer if you turn off EAC! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

  • Reinstall your game (and delete everything and any other folders related to the game)
  • Reinstall EAC (you need privileges for that)
  • Uninstall your antivirus temporarily
  • Disable Windows Defender temporarily
  • Check your connection is not under a strict NAT
  • Update any app that could cause this issue (Like Gaming Services from the Microsoft Store)

Try everything and see what works, people here have gave you a lot of solutions in other threads, try all of them.

In my case it was my antivirus.

NOTE: Any issue related to EAC isn’t up to Halo Tech Support.

“The general response time may vary from 3 to 14 days”

That’s what it says in EAC tech support website. Just be patient. And complaining without giving details won’t help a lot. Let them know the error code, what you’ve done to solve this issue, and the steps to reproduce that issue.

There you go, it’s up to EAC tech support then.

I did all that and more

Here is what I did:
Deleted EAC
Delete Steam and Both H.I. and MCC
Made sure I deleted all files that had to do with EAC and cleaned my C-drive and cleaned out my registry to make sure their was nothing left over.
Went into safe mode and made sure I deleted any residual files that had to do with
Steam and any Halo FIles.
REinstalled Steam and MCC
Made sure all of my drivers were updated
Restarded EAC as admin
rebooted my box
MCC would not run and locked up at my box at the loading screen!

Also just for S. . . s and giggles I did a Complete "CLEAN " REinstall of Win 11 Pro. Installed all the drivers including all the drivers from windows 11 pro drivers to make sure all Halo MCC would run. “IT WOULD NOT RUN” It locked up at the loading screen.

Here is what I run “NO OVERCLOCKING!!”
AMD 3700+ CPU
Asus Tuf x570 Motherboard
G.Skill F4-3600C18-8GTZN Memory ( 16 gigs )
2 Samsung SSD’s
Geforce RTX 2060 8gigs memory

What is weird is the run Battlefield 2042 and it use’s EAC. I have no problems with that at all.

Thanks for trying to help guys!

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

It would be helpful if you give details about what have you tried to fix it. Like for example, what you did exactly when reinstalling EAC or Halo MCC? Are you sure you deleted all folders? (Including the ones that need SYSTEM privileges under “Program Files” folder)

If possible, have you tried installing it on another computer? (if it works, then it means it’s not an issue with your ISP). And if the issue persists after disabling the firewall on your main PC, then it’s not a connection issue at all.

if your asking me as stated above here this post. After I did a clean install of win 11 pro. I went and downloaded Steam. Reinstalled Halo MCC and that is all I had on the clean install of Win 11 pro. and It would lock up at the Loading Screen Of Halo Infinite.

See the list I did above!! In the post area.

So that where I am at now. Bummer! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Again, you’re not giving enough details. Which files you deleted in order to make a “clean install”?. There’s a possibility there are still files not being deleted. Like the ones I told you that requires SYSTEM privileges, but you didn’t tell me about it.

If you’re getting the same error, then probably you’re not doing a clean install. Like for example, when reinstalling the OS you can keep your files and apps. That’s why is important to give all the details about what you’ve done (exactly so everyone can reproduce it).

A clean install Of Windows 11 Pro on my C-drive and Nothing else was installed except for Halo MCC.
That is all nothing else was on that clean install of Win 11 Pro. Just Halo MCC. I dont know what else I can tell you.

Like I said:
What is weird is the run Battlefield 2042 and it use’s EAC. I have no problems with that at all.

Thanks Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

Try installing Windows 10 instead and see if that works. This would discard any issue related to the OS or any other drivers.

Also, which error code are you getting in the log?

Na, Halo MCC was working great until last month. No hardware changes at all.
Everything on my box works great even Battlefield 2042 that uses EAC.
But Halo MCC just wont run. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The Error code was 10011 which is a EAC Error code!

I really appreciate you trying to help bud! Have a good 4th Of July :grinning:

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

Deleted EAC (How you deleted it, with SYSTEM privileges? NOTE: is not admin privileges)

Delete Steam and Both H.I. and MCC (How you did that?)

Made sure I deleted all files that had to do with EAC and cleaned my C-drive and cleaned out my registry to make sure their was nothing left over. (How you cleaned your C drive?)

Went into safe mode and made sure I deleted any residual files that had to do with (which residual files from which path)

Steam and any Halo FIles (Yeah, but which ones exactly)

Made sure all of my drivers were updated (The GPU driver is the most important)
Restarded EAC as admin (No explanation needed for this)
rebooted my box (?)

Real Simple deleted from steam then Formated the C-Drive lol

Well, if you think you have done everything we suggested then you should probably mention it in the support ticket and wait for a response (which may take up to 2 weeks as mentioned)

It seems the error code is related to file corruption. I hope it’s not a hardware issue. If you can, try using another SSD drive.

That’s a malware, lol. And you should remove that comment from here since it’s goes against the forum rules.

I but when I downloaded that file i did not get any mallware messages. But just because I did not get any malware warnings doesnt mean other people can. So I delete the post. Just to play it safe. Thanks for the heads up. :love_you_gesture:

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

So I moved my game installation to one of my many other drives and after launching (Albeit still freezing steam in the process) the game now works and allows me to view the Exchange and presumably play online, woo.
