Easy Anti Cheat Error?

The game runs okay without EAC however if I try to run it with it (to play multiplayer), the EAC launcher before halo starts gives me this error: Launch Error - Unexpected Error (0xC0020015). I have been looking for a day now for any threads about this yet I have found none with my issue.

I’m not familiar with this error specifically, but make sure EAC is installed correctly.

By installed correctly I assume you mean opening EAC and reinstalling Halo MCC EAC from there? I have tried that, alongside removing Easy Anti Cheat and reinstalling it. If there is any other ways to make sure it is installed ‘correctly’ then please let me know.

Just went through and tried every solution in that thread, none worked

The game will launch without anti-cheat. The problem has to do with EAC, reinstalling the game and EAC won’t work. its not a firewall issue. the error code i get is "no game executable entry is found in the cataglogue. (M)"

This is the worst anti cheat they couldve picked. tts buggy and glitchy beyond hell and often gives false positives.

The only things i have found is it’s trying to find a file called “M” in the “steamapps\common\halo the master chief collection\mcc\binaries\win64\m” But when i go into the file there is no “M” file. yet when i laughed the No anti cheat version the firewall prompted me to allow access to "M"

Im glad i’m not the only one having problems with this easy anti cheat. Seriously bummed I can’t play multiplayer until this gets sorted.

My friend downloaded just the Reach version and his works fine. I think there must be something wrong with the MCC. I hope they roll out a patch soon

I havent played Halo in years. This is very disappointing. Theycant just ignore it.

Glad to see I am not the only one with this problem. I tried all day yesterday trying to figure it out with no results. I tried all the solutions that were offered here and elsewhere online. EAC’s support website won’t even pop up for me. I hope this gets looked at soon.

Update:

> EAC Error Messages in Game: Some users have been reporting various EAC error messages appearing while playing. This includes a “UE4 Critical Error,” “You’ve been banned” and others around map files. If you are experiencing any of these, please visit the Halo Support site and create a ticket.

So I ended up completely rebooting my system as a last resort and that worked, luckily I can do this as thre isnt really anything sensitive on my pc but it’s still pretty ridiculous that I had to resort to it. If anyone really wants to risk it there is a chance rebooting/reseting your pc will work. Good luck in finding your problems guys o7.

Too bad creating a ticket requires you to enabling them datamining all your contacts and info, very shady

I just went into the game files, opened the easyanticheat folder, opened the setup, and clicked repair service then opened up mcclauncher in the main directory.

MCC-Win64-Shippinh-WinStore.exe - App error (0xc0000142) This appears when i try to launch the game, and then when i press ok the EAC says that there’s an Untrusted system file (c:\Windows\System32\opengl32.dll). Btw everything is updated, i still don’t know why it doens’t work…

Has anyone found a solution to the 0xC0020015 error yet, I’ve been trying to just play the game for weeks now, and can’t.

I’m having this exact same problem since last night. Did you find a solution?

Yeah, I’ve been having the same issue, it’s pretty annoying as I play multiplayer without EAC being enabled, guess I’ll stick to playing campaign over and over 'till 343, or hell anyone on the internet at this point finds a fix for it, it’s sad how developers these days show no care into their games, like how MCC was broken on Xbox for like 3 or 4 years, the broken launch of Halo 2 Anniversary on PC, how Activision also broke Modern Warfare 2019 on consoles due to them being retarded enough not to sync the game between regions (and they still haven’t fixed that, 7 months later) it’s truly saddening to see.
