Easy Anti Cheat Blue-Screens my PC

Hey all!

So, around the time Halo 3 flighting begun, my PC would crash 2/3 times whenever I launched MCC or the insider build.

My PC even specifically says it’s caused by EAC.

Any solutions?

Do you have any Anti-virus installed (besides the default Defender) ?

Can you try turning it off and launching the game without Avast?

yeah, tried it with both silent mode and by turning it off… no luck.

Dang it. I thought that would be it. Are you the user who installed MCC? Are you the admin on that PC?
What applications do you have running when launching the game?
Can you try taking your PC off the internet (plug out the Ethernet cable or disconnect from Wifi) <- I am wondering if the EAC tries to call some server or write somewhere and Win10 doesn’t like that.

Any luck? Apparently its also possible to turn off the anti-cheat. A person on this forum posted that fixed issues for them. I asked for details on how they turned off the EAC (something I thought would not be possible)

Over time it seems that they have stopped happening. Disabling anti cheat is a no go, as you cant get achivements and well as various community features.

I just started having this problem with Halo 3. As soon as I start the game up, my PC blue screens. The error message tells me that it is the EAC causing it to happen. I wonder if 343 will address this?

Not unless you write a ticket, it just happened to me for the first time. Had to system restore for almost 45 minutes to get back on.
