Easy Anti-Cheat and ROG Live Service conflict

Howdy fellows,
Just thought I’d report in with a fault I found. When using Asus ROG Armory (software for ROG peripherals), the ROG Live Update services is picked up and flagged by Easy AC and prevents MCC from launching. At this time, the only fix I’ve found to work is to stop the service manually and re-launch.
Not a big thing but annoying enough.
The error thrown by Easy AC is “Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [ROGLiveService.exe]”
Cheers guys and Halo 3 PC is wild!

Please don’t keep bumping posts like this. For issues like this you might be better filing a bug report on the Halo Support site: https://aka.ms/HaloSupport

this is a problem, the software is detecting a cheat that is not a cheat, so it needs to be fixed…

a support ticket on the 343 is like tossing a coin in the sea and trying to find it one year later…

It’s the correct place to file bugs so they’ll be looked into and passed to the relevant team, these support forums are primarily for community members to help each other out.

Likewise, it’s because of EasyAntiCheat, Please can we have this software negated from the list?

I wrote them for the same issue and yet I didn´t had an answer.

Looks like the tickets dont work DUDE.

just fix it, its a easy fix, for the love of god

They do, if you don’t send reports of issues and include information then how do you expect things to get fixed?

> just fix it, its a easy fix, for the love of god

Maybe it’s not, I don’t believe either of us are qualified to make that judgement. If it is as easy to fix as you believe, then filing a ticket explaining what needs to be done should also be fairly easy.

alright guys, I come to lend a hand. I found on another site that anti-cheat has had this problem for years and it has to do with LED’s or other lighting used inside your PC / Motherboard. I am not 100% if this will work but goto the task manager and terminate any software running that allows you to adjust or otherwise controls your internal PC lighting.

If it does work let us know.

Disabling the ROG Live Service is typically a bit quicker IMO

Hey guys,

For those still having this issue, I whipped up a .bat file to simplify the process.

Simply open notepad, copy this text as you see it:

@echo off
net stop “ROG Live Service”
exit

Paste it, then save the file as “ROGfix.bat” and in the drop down selector, click “All Files” (otherwise it will default and save as a text file).

You need to run it as Admin, but it’s quicker than having to stop the service manually. Cheers lads
