Easter Egg or not?

Hey guys,
Many of us can probably agree that Halo 3 had an awesome campaign. With its grandness, you might remember Cortanta and her distress beacon. She had set it on the Forward Unto Dawn near the end of the game.

Easter Egg Video

If you don’t want to watch the video, to find the Easter Egg:
A) go to Requiem Rally Point Alpha
B) Choose your skulls and difficulty
C) Proceed through the beginning of the level
D) When you see warthogs, go into the “broken ship hangar” to the left
E) Stand near the entrance and listen

But is it really an easter egg? It could just be a minor error, but none the less, I think it’s pretty cool.

(Sorry guys, I made the video but then questioned its easter egg-ness)

If you have subtitles on, the message actually plays aboard FUD right as Cortana is waking up the Chief. I think the signal was just constantly being broadcast in the hopes someone would pick it up. It is cool to think that some electronic could still be functioning after the ship crashes on Requiem :slight_smile:
